Ciao Michele,
Vedo che la mia compagna Agnes ti ha contattato via email. Hai ricevuto la sua mail? Penso che sarà più facile comunicare con lei per chiarire tutti i dubbi lì.
Hi,
We are interested in buying wpml for translating our site, however, I have a question regarding the URL structure that is possible to achieve.
Now we have a structure like this – http://www.website.net/language and we have 3 languages -Spanish, English, and Portuguese –
But we want to change it to http://www.website.net/country – each country has its how designated language.
The idea is to finally get a URL structure like this-
website.net/us – using english
website.net/br – using Portuguese
website.net/cl – Using spanish
website.net/ar – Using spanish
website.net/pe – Using spanish
website.net/mx – Using spanish
Finally using the country code in the URL as its own language, because every country has its own flavor of Spanish. and especially its own content.
WPML will suggest custom slugs for these languages according to the global standards for regional languages and Google’s guideline but if you want to change them, you can also do so – you need to edit the field I’m pointing to with the red arrow on my screenshot. But please note that WPML won’t allow you to use ar for Argentina because it’s a reserved code for Arabic.
Hello, WPML uses DeepL as its default translation engine (the other ones are Google Translate and Microsoft – please check the list of supported languages: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs). We connect to DeepL via their API so you don’t need to do anything else. Yes, we are compatible with the most popular SEO plugins: https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/seo/
Hello,
Can you please share with me the WPML Privacy Policy & Terms of Service?
Also, can you please share a primary contact email address? My IT Department requires this information as part of its software review and approval process.
Hello, I would like to ask if it is possible to use the wpml plugin to create two different invoicing and warehouse for each language in addition to the second language. Thank you
Hello,
now we are using Polypang plugin, but we have situation which cann’t be solved with it.
Our SEO specialist want ti see hreflang in format like below:
Hello, we don’t store your credit card info, we use the Stripe platform/interface to handle payments with cards. But if you want to cancel your automatic renewals soon after purchasing WPML, you can do so too, and still use the plugin.
Yes, it’s possible. You need to cancel your subscription right after buying WPML or you can switch to manual payments. You can do so from within your WPML account. But in this case, you can miss some important updates (but WPML will still work).
Hi Bruno,
I am afraid we have not tested this theme. But you’re welcome to try WPML and see how it works for you.
You have until 30 days to do it https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
I have a WooCommerce shop with 20,000 products that are imported and updated daily with wpallimport.
I need to translate that website into two more languages, but I only need to translate the following:
Product category names.
Navigation menus.
With wpml can I use the 20,000 products in the original language without duplicating them for the other two languages?
If the above is possible, would it still be possible to have only the product categories translated into other languages?
Hello Daniel,
WPML provides the so-called Fallback option (full name: Translatable – use translation if available or fallback to default language) – please see my screenshot attached:
which displays your products in other languages without the need of having these products translated/duplicated.
And normally I would just ask you to use it for your case.
But unfortunately, we have a known issue here related to categories, please see this: https://wpml.org/errata/display-as-translated-product-categories-are-not-visible-on-the-shop-page-or-widgets/
In short, you won’t see your translated categories appearing on your shop page unless you use the workaround we provided which displays empty categories too.
Would that work for you?
1. Our wpml licence is expired
> You are using an expired account of WPML. Extend your subscription
2. we want to extend the subscription, but we lost the email address
3. we cannot renew, and that email was removed mostly, we cannot access it.
4. pls tell how can we renew it, and keep all the site setting/services
Hello,
As you’ve said in your answer about not extending the subscription, if we don’t extend it we’ll miss important updates but WPML will still work. Does that mean that our translated content will still be published, but we would not be able to translate any new content? If we require continued subscription to translate new content, what would be the cost of subscription for another year?
Thanks.
Hello,
you won’t lose your existing translations. If you want to translate posts without an active subscription, it can be done but with some limitations:
1. You won’t get any new translation credits for free (which we give to users who renew)
2. You won’t be able to buy new packages of translation credits
So if you run out of translation credits and you cancel your subscription, the only way to buy new credits will be to use the so-called pay-as-you-go option, where you provide your credit card within your WordPress site. Please read more about it here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
Thank you for your answer. We’re not using translation credits, we translate the content manually. That means we would still be able to continue translating manually?
Yes, you can translate manually without any problems even if your subscription is canceled. But please be careful with WordPress releases. The last WordPress release (6.1) introduced some changes that would conflict with WPML and our clients needed to update WPML before updating WordPress. If you don’t have an active subscription, you won’t be able to access new verions of WPML. By the way, if you translate manually please note that you can disable the WPML Translation Editor if you want: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/
buongiorno, non ho ricevuto la risposta alla mia domanda di dettaglio.
Mi mandate cortesemente un link a un video di come verrebbe visualizzato il sito in doppia lingua?
Inoltre quale licenza dovrei comprare?
Se guardate il sito, le pagine prodotto sono realizzate da immagini che hanno già la doppia lingua italiano/inglese, considerato che sono state estrapolate dal nostro catalogo.
buongiorno, non posso inviarti un video ma ti invierò un link a come sito che è stato tradotto in italiano, puoi accedere e metterti alla prova. Risponderò all’e-mail privata che ci hai inviato.
Hello, Thank’sto Mercedes for the quick answer; I will try the plugin. Sorry but I didn’t found info about be able to change the source of pdf files. I have in some pages in the site, here one example of the page: https://www.wingfoilcampione.it/come-regolare-il-foil-del-wingfoil/
Hello Bruno,
You can try by translating the PDF itself in WPML > Media Translation or translate the PDF link directly as explained in this link.
Otherwise, please open a chat in our support where one of our specialists will be able to help you better.

I just want to confirm WPML include strings in all page translation feature provided by WooCommerce? (example: cart, checkout, my account and order email etc.)
We make website for client and it is based on gulf country so we have multiple currency options as well.
To translate meta descriptions and other SEO data, the SEO plugin you use needs to be compatible with WPML. https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/seo/
The WPML SEO plugin is available in your WPML account’s Downloads page or by visiting the Plugins section of your site’s admin (if you buy the CMS or Agency package).
Hello, I bought your agency package (unlimited website license) yesterday but I haven’t received confirmation in my email. I kindly ask you to contact me so I can access my personal area and download the unlimited plugin and license. Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for buying WPML. I haven’t found you in our system by the email address you used when publishing this comment which makes me think you made a typo in your email. I will ask my colleague to find you in a different way but it can be difficult. Let me email you directly, maybe you can give us some hints what typo you made in your email address.
Hi,
I want to make my woo-commerce multi-vendor marketplace site multi-currency and multi-language,
some information is provided for your reference below.
1-1. I see one of your products is Multilingual Agency.
1-2. Will the plugin WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency with WPML help me?( https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/)
1-3. Do the products above support the woo-commerce multi-vendors marketplace?
My question is that I want to make my woo-commerce multi-vendor marketplace site multi-currency and multi-language, which tool or tools above should I use now?
2-1. I read your guide on WPML, there is one of the steps to choose url types. Do I need to create the subdomains on Namecheap and the hosting provider in advance?
2-2. For the same country that uses more than one language, for example, people in Canada use English and French, how can I create subdomains for Canada, and how can I use your tools to provide English and French to serve people in Canada?
If Airbnb is a good example of a Multilingual & Multicurrency site, please make Airbnb an example to let me understand it. thanks
Hello there,
1. According to your description, you will need to use either our Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency license. Deciding one or the other would depend on the number of WordPress installations you will need to create.
1.2 – 1.3 In the following list, you will find the plugins that have been tested by our Compatibility Team, in that way you can check if your multivendor option is there present. https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
2.1 It would depend on which kind of URL you want to have, if you are planning to have different domains per language, you will need to contact your hosting provider in order to to do so.
2.2. It also would depend on your hosting provider, so we recommend you to get in contact with them and check if that’s possible. Once you have created your domains and they are working correctly, you will need to create a different custom language per each domain. https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
I got the free version to test it.
After instalation and configuratiom my hosting plan got overloaded (CPU – 100%, physical memory 3gb)
My question is:
What are the hardware requierments for the plugin ?
And when i get the full version will it behaive better?
Hello Roni, could you please let me know more about that free version you got? Where did you get it from? What is the version number? WPML requirements are summarized here: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/
If I purchase 3 Production and 9 Development plan initially so there’s an option to expand my subscription ? Also, how you will judge the number of production and development ?
Yes, you can upgrade from CMS to Agency and you will pay only the difference between these two. When you register a WPML website you need to choose whether it’s a production site or a development site. The only difference is that developement sites will get a dismissable banner in yuor site footer saying that’s a development site.
non ho plugin woo-commerce. E’ solo una vetrina di prodotti. E molte pagine hanno delle immagini con doppia lingua ita/eng

Hello Sebastian,
to use custom slugs for languages you need to add these languages as custom languages, which is explained here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
You can add custom languages when setting up WPML. Please check these two screenshots:
https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/setup.png
https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/custom-languages-mx.png
WPML will suggest custom slugs for these languages according to the global standards for regional languages and Google’s guideline but if you want to change them, you can also do so – you need to edit the field I’m pointing to with the red arrow on my screenshot. But please note that WPML won’t allow you to use ar for Argentina because it’s a reserved code for Arabic.
Here’s the site I set up:

Hello, we don’t store your credit card info, we use the Stripe platform/interface to handle payments with cards. But if you want to cancel your automatic renewals soon after purchasing WPML, you can do so too, and still use the plugin.
Sorry, I mean Payment method (Credit card details).

Hello everyone,
I just want to confirm WPML include strings in all page translation feature provided by WooCommerce? (example: cart, checkout, my account and order email etc.)
We make website for client and it is based on gulf country so we have multiple currency options as well.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hello,
these strings come from the WooCommerce plugin and please check if this plugin supports your language(s): https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=wordpress.org&utm_campaign=wp_org_repo_listing
If so, you don’t need to translate these strings via WPML because this work has been already done. But if you are not happy with the original translations, you can override these translations by WPML if needed.
Thanks. Do these “new entries” also include the meta description and other SEO data?
Last question: Will WPML work with AIOSEO?
