Hello,
the WPML subscription registered with this email address (the one you posted this comment with) expired on September 15, 2016. I’m not sure what you are trying to do now because I don’t understand this message “my old wpml account so my agency could add me in the team”. If your goal is to renew your WPML account, please into your old wpml.org (you can reset the password if you don’t remember it) and purchase WPML again. You will be able to use WPML with your old email account. But if for any reason you would like us to remove this old account entirely, you need to contact us via this forum: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/
I want to specify prices in the admin panel of the site for some products in Euros and for others in dollars or hryvnias (UAN). And all these prices must be converted to any of these currencies, for example, to the hryvnia (UAN). Is this possible in your plugin? Because as far as I can see, you can convert prices only from the main currency to minor currencies.
Hello,
no, you cannot integrate your DeepL account with WPML. DeepL is already integrated with WPML in a custom way to work it better with WordPress sites. The translations we receive from DeepL are post-processed by WPML to better match your needs, for example, WPML can apply all the necessary formatting for your translations to match the original page and adjust the internal links automatically. It can also apply your custom glossary to your translations. When you buy WPML, you will get 90 000 translation credits for free which allow you to translate 45 000 words using DeepL. If you need more credits, you can purchase them in two ways: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
I intend to purchase WPML CMS, but its a little over my budget. I look for discount code, and try to apply, but I see no place to apply. Does WPML have discount policy?
Hello, we don’t support any discount codes so I’m not sure where your code comes from. If you follow a purchase link coming from one of our affiliate program partners, yes, you can buy WPML with a discount but you don’t enter any code in this case, only click on the affiliate link. I don’t know who is providing WPML affiliate links. We also provide discounts for non-profit organisations.
Hi, and sorry for my English.
My question is if the basic version of the plugin is suitable for a woocommerce site. I only need a basic translation for menus and categories, and general/static content, not for items for sale.
Hello,
normally the CMS Multilingual package is needed for WooCommerce sites. However, if you don’t plan to translate your WooCommerce products and you want to translate your pages manually, you can buy the Blog package (39 euro). The blog package allows you to translate posts, pages, categories and menus.
You say “cannot integrate your DeepL account with WPML”.
So the only way to improve the translations is with “custom glossary”?
No other way is available?
PS: Custom glossary is interesting but it’s a long work to build.
Of course, you can edit your translations manually if you want.
I was just explaining how the DeepL translations post-processed by WPML are better than the original DeepL translations.
I have some questions about transferring account renewals to clients. If I transfer a production site to a client:
* Does the client continue to have access to all of the Multilingual CMS / Multilingual Agency features (Advanced Translation Editor, String Translation, Translation Management, etc.)?
* Does the client receive any/all of the Automatic Translation credits?
* If the client receives ownership of the site within the first year but does not renew the next year, will I be charged the full price the next year (i.e. without the €20 discount)?
Hello,
1. Yes, correct.
2. No (only you)
3. Yes, correct, you will not get the 20euro discount but actually, you won’t pay the full price either because you get the 25% discount we give to all users who continue with their subscription continuously.
We are looking for a translation plugin for our website, which primarily provides a search service. Other plugins we have tested have issues with returning results in a translated language since the translation occurs on the front end and so no results are returned from the search on the database. Does WPML create and stored meta of the translations so that an on site search feature will find matched results from a search in another language?
In general, WPML can handle results from a search but the details will depend on the search you use. Please share the name of the search plugin you use and we can check if it’s fully compatible with WPML.
I have a client with an outdated “Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual” plugin and no licence. I want to convince renew their licence. Is the ACF plugin included in the “Multilingual Blog” package? Or only in the “Multilingual CMS” package?
Hi – Cannot request to cancel account, and now request a refund because I have not received the reset password link. Hello,
Thank you for your message. You say that you have been asking for the reset link for more than 3 weeks now with little success. Can I ask how you asked? Did you send us an email? If so, how? To which email address or what was the contact form you used? Please note that you can request a refund without logging into your WPML account:
1. Please visit this page: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
2. Click on the “Ask for a refund without login” link (it’s under the form)
3. Then in the form select “I need to cancel a renewal” and provide the reason. I checked your site and I can see that it still uses WPML. Please note that by requesting a refund you won’t get any updates and support assistance for this site. If you update your WordPress and don’t update WPML, you might run into some issues in the future. If you accept that risk, please free free to continue with your refund request.
4. When you are filling our the refund form when not logged in, you need to provide the order number. It’s 14569701 in your case (you can also check the email from us from October 13, 2023). Also, enter the email address you use for your WPML account in the Email form.
We have an issue with a website. The person who purchased WPML has died. We’ve found an alternative webmaster, who says they are unable to locate where the old key is, or even where to put the new key (from their WPML account)
Can anyone help locate the key? Even I’ve tried looking and can’t find it either.
Hello,
if your website is registered I can check who had registered it and what’s the license status. To do this, I need to know your website URL. Your new webmaster can register the website with his/her new key. They need to unregister the old key. This can be done by following these steps:
1. Log into your WordPress site
2. Go to Plugins > Add new > switch to the Commercial tab
3. Click Unregister
4. Then you can register your site with a new key. The new key needs to be generated by someone who has an active WPML subscription and this is done on their WPML account.
I hope this helps.
Hi, you need to log into your WPML account and you should be able to see the renew button. If you cannot see it, please look at the sidebar on the left and the expiry date: https://cdn.wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/checking-renewal-date.png Please note that normally WPML accounts renew automatically but you switched off your automatic renewals.
Hello,
if you know how many words your site has, you can multiply the number of words by two, because to translate 1 word you need 2 credits (if you use DeepL or Google Translate). You will get 90 000 credits for free when buying WPML which will allow you to translate 45 000 words. If you need more credits, please check this calculator: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#how-automatic-translation-works
Some hints:
– when you are setting up your WPML for the first time, add only one additional language at first (you will be able to add more languages later)
– select “Let me choose what to translate” instead of “Translate everything”
This way to will be able to control how many credits you spent (WPML > Translation Management > Tools)
I’m working with a multisite that has a one-page primary site and 2 subsites with /eu and /us directory URLs. The /eu subsite currently uses GTranslate, but we would like to be able to edit translations. My concern is that directory URLs wouldn’t work with this type of setup. If adding as a parameter isn’t an option, what is the best approach?
Currently I am using another tool to translate my website and I want to use WPML as an auditor tool on my current one. could you please help me with more details on that.
Hello,
Thank you for your interested in WPML. Please help me out understand the context of your question: “I want to use WPML as an auditor tool”. What are your specific needs and expectations? What would you like to know? I’ll be happy to provide your with the answers.
Yes, we can see four attempts to buy/renew the subscription with the following note “The card was declined.” Please check if your card is still valid and contact your bank to check when it’s being declined. You can also change your payment method if you like: https://wpml.org/purchase/how-to-change-your-payment-method/

How can I set up WPML as an auditor on Weglot on my website?
please check my website and let know if it is eligible for this request or not?
Thank you for the follow-up info. WPML and Weglot are two different plugins, each with its own workflow. We don’t recommended using both. WPML cannot detect inaccurate translations. WPML is a WordPress plugin, for sites using WordPress. I have checked your website and it doesn’t seem to be a WordPress-based site. That being said, your request is eligible.

Good Day,
I have a couple questions before i purchase to ensure security for my users.
1. Where was WPML developed and by who?
2. Do you have any documentation that support the security of the WPML plugin?
3. Is there a Secure Software Development Lifecycle enforced for WPML and associated plugins?
Thank you! Looking forward to the responses.
Hello Fernando,
You can find the answers to you questions in our Privacy policy and GDPR compliance page https://wpml.org/documentation/privacy-policy-and-gdpr-compliance/ as well as our T&Cs https://wpml.org/home/terms-and-conditions/

Hello,
Thank you for your message. You say that you have been asking for the reset link for more than 3 weeks now with little success. Can I ask how you asked? Did you send us an email? If so, how? Hello,
if your website is registered I can check who had registered it and what’s the license status.
Hi, How do I renew? I want to renew according to last year’s order, please let me know the method and link, thank you
Hi, you need to log into your WPML account and you should be able to see the renew button. If you cannot see it, please look at the sidebar on the left and the expiry date: https://cdn.wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/checking-renewal-date.png Please note that normally WPML accounts renew automatically but you switched off your automatic renewals.
How can I find out how many credits I will need to translate the site?
Hello,
if you know how many words your site has, you can multiply the number of words by two, because to translate 1 word you need 2 credits (if you use DeepL or Google Translate). You will get 90 000 credits for free when buying WPML which will allow you to translate 45 000 words. – select “Let me choose what to translate” instead of “Translate everything”
This way to will be able to control how many credits you spent (WPML > Translation Management > Tools)
in your pricing calculator – is the value shown an annual charge? why is microsoft half the price of other 2 options?
Hello,
do you mean the calculator for credits? https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#how-automatic-translation-works
It shows the price for the credits used. If you plan to translate your site and then don’t make any significant updates this is the final price for credits.
The prices for the plugin at this page: https://wpml.org/purchase/ are the prices you pay for the first year of updates and support assistance. For the next year you will pay 75% of these prices if you decide to keep your WPML subscription (which is optional). Credits for the Microsoft engine are cheaper because this translation engine’s translation quality is consider the worse compared to DeepL and Google. If you want you can compare the three online: https://www.deepl.com/translator https://translate.google.com/ https://www.bing.com/translator
Hello, if we need to buy Multilingual CMS plugin, what does it mean “90,000 translation credits?
Hello Marina,
It means 90,000 credits for automatic translation, in case you want to use this as the translation method for your site.
More details here https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-assign-automatic-translation-credits-to-your-sites/
Hi,
Is your basic account tier @ €39 works well with Theme.co’s Cornerstone?
Thank you.
Hi Jun,
No, you will need the CMS version to do this https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/xtheme/
Kind regards
Can I use the “Language name added as a parameter” option in a multisite? The option isn’t listed in the Multisite guide here: https://wpml.org/home/how-to-build-a-multilingual-wordpress-website/
You can use the parameter for language in your WordPress Multisite, please check this example: I switch this subsite to use languages with the parameter setting:
https://translation-reviewers.otgs.work/simonetta/
https://translation-reviewers.otgs.work/simonetta/?lang=it
you can also check the subpages.
And on this one, I keep the languages in directories:
https://translation-reviewers.otgs.work/mara/
P.S. We don’t recommend using WPML with GTranslate at the same time.
Currently I am using another tool to translate my website and I want to use WPML as an auditor tool on my current one. could you please help me with more details on that.

Hello,
You can check our calculator to estimate your translation costs https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#how-automatic-translation-works-lnk
If you use automatic translation, you don’t need a CAT tool. WPML includes a Translation Memory.
