How many languages does Multilingual CMS support?
The 90,000 credits apply per website or the total?
If I have more than one language can I use the 90,000 credits per multi lang or every lang must have 90,000 credits?
However, if you are interested in automatic translation, then there is a lower number of languages supported according to translation engines selected.

You asked:

The 90K credits gifted to your new account are applied at the Account level. You can distribute the credits amongst the websites linked to your WPML.org account as you prefer. Credits are only used if you decide to send posts to a translation engine for machine translation. If you translate the content yourself, via a hired translator, or via professional services – you will not need to use the credits.
The number of credits required to translate your site content from one language to a target langauge depends on the number of words being sent and the translation engine selected. Please read this article here for more details – see specifically the topic “How much does automatic translation cost?” in the Frequently Asked Questions section.: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
1. Can we specify individual posts we wish to use automated translation on?
Yes. With the mode “Translate what I choose”, you can select individual posts to be sent to Automatic Translation.
2. Will the site/plugin send through a notification email when the automated translation credits are close to being all used?
It is not my understanding that this will happen. However, you can see the number of credits remaining at any time on the Translation Dashboard > Tools
3. When the plugin subscription renews, are we provided with another set of automatic translation credits?
This depends on the plan you sign up for. Please read this article here: https://wpml.org/purchase/wpml-renewal/#what-do-i-miss
Caveat: It is my what is written will only be applied to subscriptions purchased before 1 Sept 2024.
We have the following queries:
1. What are 90,000/1,80,000 translation credits?
2. What about the accuracy of automatic translation?
3. Will we be able to manually edit the automatic translation (in case the translator is not working properly)?
1. What are 90,000/1,80,000 translation credits?
WPML uses credits to calculate the cost of your translations. Each translated word
is worth a certain number of credits based on which translation engine you use:
I’d like to purchase WPML. I’m interested in knowing the level of support offered, particularly in case of issues like 404 errors or functionality problems?
General problems (like 404 issues) will be supported at least to the extent that it could relate to our plugin. A good rule-of-thumb is to temporarily deactivate our plugin and see if a problem still happens. If it does, then we will get to the bottom of the issue. If it doesn’t, it would mean that the issue is not really related to our plugin. In this case, if it is within our ability to guide you on how to resolve the issue, we will do so or even provide a workaround if needed.
If we can determine the issue is with a 3rd party plugin, we may direct you to our compatibility team to work with you to invite the plugin/theme author to find a solution or to join our GoGlobal program. Of course there are instances where we need to direct you to the plugin/theme support that is causing the issue and bow out.

La versión CMS te permite registrar hasta 3 sitios web y 9 sitios de desarrollo (3 por cada sitio web publicado).
Thank you for your email and the valuable information regarding WPML compatibility.
We appreciate your recommendation to use themes and plugins that have been certified as compatible with WPML. To ensure a seamless integration with our website, please help us to review this theme website: https://shthemes.net/demosd/thecappa-apartment/
We are particularly interested in expanding our website’s multilingual capabilities and are considering purchasing an unlimited WPML license. Could you please provide us with more details on the specific benefits and features included in this license?
We would also appreciate any additional guidance or recommendations you may have for selecting the most suitable WPML license for our needs.
My Answer:
We don’t offer a service that reviews themes for clients. However, I can see that the author says:”We built this theme on Elementor, “. In this case, the chances of it working with WPML is very high as
basic Elementor and WPML are fully compatible.
However, Elementor is a powerful page builder and many authors have included custom widgets that may not initially be registered as translatable with WPML. In this case, you can contact our Support Team to get these widgets registered or do it yourself as per the following article:
2. WPML Licenses
You asked: Could you please provide us with more details on the specific benefits and features included in this license? We would also appreciate any additional guidance or recommendations you may have for selecting the most suitable WPML license for our needs
Since you will be using Elementor, the only options reasonable for your needs will be the Multilingual CMS or the Multilingual Agency licenses.
The difference between the two are in the number of translation credits gifted at the start of your subscription and the number of registered websites you can have associated with your WPML account.
If you plan to have more then 3 production websites online, then your only option is the Agency license. Otherwise, if you plan to have up-to 3 production website, I would recommend the CMS license. In all cases, you can always purchase more credits if needed.
WPML does not do any kind of geolocalization. You would need to look at a third-party plugin for that kind of functionality. If you are looking to limit your traffic to only China-based IP addresses, this is also not within the scope of our plugin features and I would suggest you talk to your hosting provider about your options as well.
Our plugin is concerned only with creating translations of your post types within a WordPress database. We can do an intial browser-language redirection based on the active language session of the site visitor, but this feature will not extend to IP or geolocalization.
We need to renew WPML license but i dont have access to my WPML account. If i create new account and buy license will i be able to renew old license in wordpress admin portal?
HI!
You are welcome to purchase a new subscription and create a new account. You can then register the site through the new account and start receiving updates through it. Everything will keep working normally while you do this.
I recently purchased an Agency License and encountered some setup issues. I attempted to contact your support team through the Contact Page but it seems to be malfunctioning. The page reloads when clicked. Please provide instructions on how to reach your support team to resolve these issues.
Hello Austin,
Please log in to your account and start a new ticket in the forum. One of our technical supporters will be able to assist you. https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/
If you need further help accessing the forum please contact me directly on hello@wpml.org
I am working with a client who has purchased your product for the domain https://holmesgaragedoor.com. We have moved the site to a new server with a new domain at https://holmesgaragedoors.com. I am having trouble moving the site license to the new domain name. Can you help me with this?
Hello Sergio,
If the subscription is active you should be able to register the new url. You need to register it again to generate a new subscription key. If this doesn’t work, please contact me on hello@wpml.org directly and I’ll help.
I am having an error on my WordPress backend and after disabling and re-activating plugins it seems that the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin is what is causing the error.
I am working on this site for a client and could really use some help with this! I have not been able to contact anyone at WordPress to assist.
I understand that you have identified a compatibility issue with our plugin and either your theme and/or another plugins installed on your site.
Your client should have access to the wpml.org support forum where one of our supporters can help you directly on what to do next. Please use this link : https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/
You can find out which plugin in particular is causing the issue by doing the following sequence of steps:
1. Deactivat all non-WPML plugins so only your theme is active
2. Activate WPML CMS.
3. Is there an error in the backend? If so, then this will indicate that the issue is with your theme.
4. If there is no error, start reactivating the other plugins one-by-one until you find the plugin that causes the error to appear. This is the plugin that has a compatibility issue with WPML.
In any case, you will need to open a Support ticket but knowing if the problem is with the theme or a plugin will help the resolution go faster.
Thank you for including the forum ticket as a reference. I was able to track down the progress and see that it was opened as a Feature Request in our system. However, as the original client enquiring about this feature never responded to our messages and nobody else seemed to be interested, it was eventually closed.
So, right now, we do not support handling different lifting charges per currency and it would be something that you might implement as outlined in that same ticket with the help of a WPML Contractor here: https://wpml.org/contractors/
>> it would be something that you might implement as outlined in that same ticket with the help of a WPML Contractor
The forum ticket indicates that this filter hasn’t been created yet. If that’s still true, even WPML Contractors wouldn’t be able to implement it without modifying core files, which should be avoided. Is that correct?
They should be familiar enough with our wcml/wpml api action hooks and filters so that modifying a core file should not be necessary. Most of the time the extra code is added to a child theme’s functions.php file. You would have to check the details with them however.
And yes, good wordpress coding will avoid touching any else’s core files. There might be the need to ask us to add a hook to WCML but they will handle this with our own development team and can advise you on if this is necessary.
Thanks again for your reply. Is it possible that I can request for adding the hook to WCML then? If it was there, like suggested in the forum thread, I could easily do the implementation myself.
This is something that you would have to initaite via a Support Thread when you are a client. I cannot do this from Pre-Sales.
Please remember that you do have a 30-day window to request a refund if you are not satisfied with the product. Please read our refund policy here: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
I am currently setting up a WooCommerce site with two distinct sites: one for the US and one for Malaysia. I intend to use WPML to manage multi-language and multi-country functionalities across these sites.
Here are the specific details of my setup:
US Site: The primary currency will be USD, and the payment gateway will be PayPal.
MY Site: The primary currency will be MYD, and the payment gateway will be iPay88.
I would like to confirm if WPML can support this configuration, specifically in terms of handling different currencies and payment gateways for each site. Additionally, could you provide any screenshots or examples that demonstrate how the setup might look with WPML?
Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your response.
When you refer to multiple sites, do you mean different WordPress and Woocommerce installations? That is to say that the US and MY sites have their *own* databases?
If so, please note that WPML CMS and WCML are not designed to work in a distributed manner (e.g. across different databases). WPML/WCML will handle different currencies and payment gateway options on the SAME Woocommerce installation.
It is possible to assign a different URL format to each language on the same site and then translate the product permalink base, product category base, product tag base and the product attribute base on the Store URLs section.
In the case that indeed you are referring to a single Woocommerce shop with 2 different URLs (one for each langauge), then I will refer you to our documentation which includes a more detailed description on how payment gateway and multicurrency setups will look like. See specifically the sections on “setting up payment gateways” and “configuring currencies”
Thank you for your detailed response. I am indeed using a single WooCommerce shop with two different URLs (one for each language). I have a few follow-up questions to ensure everything is set up correctly:
1. Can I add ms-MY and en-MY pages under the same currency, using iPay88 as the payment gateway for both?
2. I’ve read through the documentation, but I would like to confirm if the “Configuring Payment Gateways Based on Customer Location” function can be configured based on language instead of location.
3. I plan to use the WPML Redirect Based on IP Country plugin to automatically redirect users to the appropriate site. Will this affect the payment gateway configuration?
4. Regarding the “Configuring Payment Gateways For Each Currency” feature, can I add iPay88 as a payment option?
5. I’m a bit confused about the payment gateway setup. I also reviewed this forum topic. Could you provide screenshots or a step-by-step guide on how I can tailor the payment gateway so that when users visit the MY site, it defaults to iPay88, and when they visit the US site, it defaults to PayPal? I want to ensure this goal is achievable with WPML.
After searching our internal ticket system, I also did not find any plans that it is a candidate for future feature integration.
My advice to you as to search a 3rd party payment gateway plugin that offers the support for iPay88, and then explore the extent to which this 3rd party plugin is compatible with wpml/wcml.

Hello,
Can we use a China IP only? If so, can we check the estimated cost for this?

WPML does not do any kind of geolocalization. You would need to look at a third-party plugin for that kind of functionality. If you are looking to limit your traffic to only China-based IP addresses, this is also not within the scope of our plugin features and I would suggest you talk to your hosting provider about your options as well.

The pricing page says 90,000 translation credits. How long will that last? Per user that visits it uses?
Hi!
The credits are used to translate your site automatically. Once the content is translated it stays on your site and there is no further charge when a user visits the page. More details here
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#no-monthly-fee
Hello Sunny,
Thos 90.000 translation credits will last until you use them all translating your content. As you can check in our documentation, we don’t charge per user visit but for translated word.

This website https://www.transfluid.eu/ from this page https://wpml.org/showcase/. For their English site though it goes to a new domain transfluid.us did they hardcode this?

Kind regards,
Thank you for your detailed response.

Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to your guidance.
Hello.
I’ve done some research on our ability to add/support iPay88 and here is what I found. As late as Sept 2020, we did not have any plans to offer integration/support for this payment method. Please do a search on this article for “ipay88”: https://wpml.org/announcements/2020/08/wcml-4-10-currencies-and-payment-options-based-on-location/
After searching our internal ticket system, I also did not find any plans that it is a candidate for future feature integration.
My advice to you as to search a 3rd party payment gateway plugin that offers the support for iPay88, and then explore the extent to which this 3rd party plugin is compatible with wpml/wcml.
I hope this addresses your questions.
Hihi, is there any payment gateway list that WPML support?
Thanks!

Hello
Do you have a lifetime license?
Hello
I’m sorry but at this moment we only offer a yearly subscription model.
Kind regards
I don’t want to purchase a subscription, do you sell the plugin with lifetime access?
