Hi there,
I am actually a paying customer but am in a never ending loop. The card on the account has expired as that person has left the business so so I need to update the payment details.
I am trying to change the email address, so that I can then make payment for the plugins.
However, it says that the email can only be changed in the account settings section.
When I go to account settings, I update it with my new email address, but it doesn’t actually update the account, even after I save it.
Then when I try and log a support ticket support, it says the my “This technical forum is open to paying WPML clients.”
Hello,
our system doesn’t allow you to change the email address but we can do this for you, provided you send us something that proves/confirms that the account belongs to you and not to someone else (e.g. an old invoice). Please use this form: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ or send us a direct message (maybe you would like to attache some screenshot or an invoice) to hello@wpml.org. Your message will go to a person who can change your email and help you with that case.
Agnes, I have a question!
Can I run WPML on server, when server cannot connect to internet to make outbound calls? Because, as I understood, activation is on the WPML side. So Plugin has to access my WPML account.
WPML is a set of WordPress plugins and these can be run on your localhost as well for which no internet connection is required. Connection to the internet is required to register WPML but you can bypass this by registering your site directly from your WPML account and then grabbing the license key and pasting it into your WordPress site (Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab).
Hello,
Thank you for your list of languages. Even if a specific language is covered by Google Translate (the online browser) it’s not easy to add it to WPML. It’s a whole process for us and quite complex development and testing because WPML does some pre- and post- processing with the automatic translations. I will let our developers know that you requested this but we cannot promise that these languages will be added. WE are gradually adding more and more languages but we start with the most popular languages. What you can do is add those languages as so-called custom languages and translate to these languages by copy-pasting manually from Google or having someone who speak these languages and let them handle the translation directly from your site after some content gets assigned to them to be translated (you can add your local translator to your WordPress site that uses WPML with the Translator role).
I’m seeing an Upgrade option to “agency” for a great deal price this year, but i’d like to know how much the renewal will be the following years, as this is not clear to me and i can’t seem to find it anywhere.
Hello,
we no longer have discounts for NEW clients and that’s why you cannot find anything about discount for renewals. But for existing clients we keep the 25% discount but you need to upgrade your subscription in a certain way. Please log into your WPML account and upgrade to the Agency package from within the upgrade page. You should see this link somewhere on the left-hand side sidebar – please look around to see the “upgrade” name/keyword or something like this. If you cannot locate this option, please use this form to contact us: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ and the person behind the form will help you.
Hi,
I have sitepress-multilingual-cms-4.6.13 installed, I can translate menus, I can translate strings in Elementor, but translated Elementor strings are not showed in frontend. Otherwise menus are translated correctly. What can be the reason of this problem?

I am planning to create a blogging site for public, so if users starts creating blogs, lets say it increase on daily basis, i am planning for 4 languages. will it cost me large amount for translations?
Hello,
This calculator allows you to estimate how much you will pay: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#simulate-your-translation-price
Example: provided an average blog post length is 1000 words and someone posts weekly, this gives you 4000 words per month. Translating 4000 per month to 4 other languages will cost you about €20.20 EUR. In this case the DeepL translation engine will be used. You will pay twice less if you use the Microsoft translation engine because using this engine will consume only 1 credit per word. This the engine into account when playing around with this calculator – the engines are listed in the top line: Microsoft – Google – DeepL – WPML AI (beta).
Hello,
To cancel your WPML subscription please log into your WPML account. You will see the subscription details on the left and please click on the Modify click next to the renewal date. Click on it and you will find the option to cancel your subscription.
we have reported an massive fail and issue on your website regarding wrong information about duplicate content.
WPML say: to have same content on different sub pages is no duplicate content. But that is wrong, confirmed by google after we showing your content and text and asking: is that right?! It was discusses in official youtube channel from google.
We have reported this to you and you say you will talk to your product manager. Days later we still waiting.
Any update? Or its not important for you to delete wrong information and find better solution to avoid duplicate content?
We have an internal ticket/task to review our documentation against the concerns you raised. While we are waiting for the official reply, here’s what we think in a nutshell.
“Content duplicate” indeed is a sensitive topic which you bring some concerns. Our advice follows the idea that, if you duplicate content into another language, and this is content is placed under a language folder with proper hreflang tags, Google won’t penalize you for duplicating content.
Doing this should be more of a ‘neutral’ thing – of course, you don’t benefit from any multilingual SEO, but you also don’t get completely penalized. What we mentioned on our doc isn’t exactly advice. It’s more of a reassurance that Google won’t target your site if you duplicate content.
I will get back to your as soon as I have the official summary from our Content/Documentation Team.
2. Regarding the redirection request
We have discussed this internally and we don’t have any plans to add this feature.
Why:
– Automatic redirections can do more harm than good. This should be clearly communicated to the business owners of the site. It’s not only about confusing clients who didn’t expected to be redirected. Automatic redirection can even prevent your site to be properly indexed in Google.
– As I explained in my previous replies, users who speak English don’t come to the main URL of a site that is in a non-English language (e.g. German) because how would they know about that German site in the first place. That’s why the better strategy is to make the site available in the languages they speak.
– If indeed a site can get better traffic in English than – say – in German, English should be considered the main language of the website.
Regarding point 2:
“– Automatic redirections can do more harm than good.”
We do not wanna redirect. We wanna show popup: this page does not have translation for your country. Pick up your language.
This is much better then showing content in german language and hope user will search and click the langugage switcher.
Its possible to show popup: chose your prefered language if there is no translation?
Visitor came frome france, we have no translation in frech. So show them popup and give them option to chose the language we have.
This is an option from many other translation plugins in free plan. WPML does have this option?
“– If indeed a site can get better traffic in English than – say – in German, English should be considered the main language of the website.”
No, its not a good idea. Because 70% of our traffic is based in germany. The rest is mixed. So if somebody visit our website from france and we do not have a france translation you show them german text. At the same time we have english translation and we shoud show them english, because nobody outside of germany will understand the german text. But much more the english text. So if english translation present: use english translation, not default fallback.
All other translation plugins can handle this, also simple translation plugins in free edition. By using wpml we have to show now our visitors german fallback text and this is confusing them. Now we have to tell them: yeah, please do one click more and switch to english in language switcher. Before it was done automaticly.
Sure, we can duplicate english content to french version. But this will make the data base extra-large. If you have 5.000 products and start duplicate products because wpml does not support this… it will make the db much larger and wpml is already not the fastest system. It will make it much slower again and again.
Thank you for the details Tommy.
Okay, so it’s not about a redirection but about showing an additional popup. Do you happen to know any website that works like your are describing? Maybe you saw it somewhere. I’m from Poland, Polish is not a common language so I’m likely to see such a popup for some websites. It will be easier to understand your expectations and also explain that request to our developers. Thank you.
I will get back to you about the duplicate content topic as soon as I have the official comment from our team. We are also checking in which cases the “duplicate” options we provide create copies in the database.
Tommy, when you say “Please remove this advice from your page and sure, you can check it by asking google webmaster in official pages like youtube and send them your question like we did before.” which specific piece of content do you have in mind? Please kindly provide me the link to the page and quote the piece of content. Thank you. Please note that using the fallback method does NOT duplicate content in the database.
Hello, we have a german online Shop with lots of products already added WCML plugin translate already acive products? – in case I buy and install WPML, does the
Yes, WCML (when used with the paid version of WPML – the Multilingual CMS package) can translate your existing products. If your site is large and you are not sure about the your translation workflow, it’s recommended installing WPML on a copy first and translating a few products. For this, please choose “Let me choose what to translate” rather than “Translate everything automatically” mode.

I have my store with main language Polish and currency PLN.
Now what I want to do:
Set the main price in Euro in every language versions, and additionally in the next versions convert depending on the country to USD/GBP, but the conversion must be taken from Euro currency (not PLN!!!).
As far as I can see Woocomerce can only have one main currency and when I set the prices in other currencies (using woocommerce wpml multi-currency), conversion in your plugin it is always converted from PLN (the main currency of my store).
So is multi-store the only solution in my situation? I would like to avoid this, but if it’s unavoidable do you recommend any plugin compatible with WPML? I’ll also add that I’m using emagicone store manager, which doesn’t see currencies other than the target one in the store (PLN).

Hello,
I’m not sure what you mean by transferring credentials. Please explain what exactly you would like to do. What is your old website and the new one. And what is your WPML account. I checked your site in our system and it doesn’t seem to be registered at all. If you don’t want to share this information via this section, please user this form: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ We will help you but we need to better understand your case.
Hi! I have a question regarding the indexing of subpages in WPML. Is it possible to activate the Google Indexing API for multiple translated domains? I know the standard way is through a sitemap, but I’m wondering if there’s support for Google Indexing API in this case. Thanks for your help
Hello Simon,
yes, you have a lifetime account (registered with the same email address you used to post this comment with). If you don’t remember the password please us this link: https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/
You can add new websites, the account is still active and will never expire.
I am a developer and I am looking to buy another license for a different client. Now, if my both/either of the clients decide not to renew, then will the site stop working or they can keep using it without renewing?
WPML will work and you can keep your translation even if you don’t renew your subscription/or cancel it. However, we cannot anticipate what will happen in the future if your client will update WordPress but won’t update WPML plugins.
I would like to ask you if I can setup a wordpress website using your plugin in International English (global version), English US, English UK, English Ireland, and English CA.
And can all of this versions be included in the language switcher?
Can I cancel the renewal?
I didn’t notice that we had automatic subscription, and I have already left this project. The project has ended, so I don’t need to cover this cost anymore.
Do I have to pay first and then request a refund?
Is it not possible to cancel directly?
Hello,
Yes, if the payment was not processed yet, to cancel the subscription please log in to your WPML account.
You will see the subscription details on the left and the word Modify next to it. Click on it and you will find the option to cancel your subscription.
I checked my order, and it’s currently created but the status is ‘on hold’. From what I understand, I can only pay, and there’s no option to cancel.
If I leave it as is, will it automatically charge my PayPal? If it’s on hold and won’t charge, I’m okay with that, but I cannot accept any sudden charges. So I hope it’s not in that state. Can it be canceled instead, or can I request a cancellation? Thank you.
I am planning to purchase the Multilingual Agency plan.
This plan should allow me to install the plugin on unlimited websites. If I buy the license on October 19, 2024, and do not renew it by October 18, 2025, can I still install and activate this plugin on any brand new websites after October 18, 2025?
Hello,
to register new sites you need to have an active WPML subscription/account. In the case you described (after October 18, 2025? with an expired WPML account), you won’t be able to use WPML on new sites. One of the step of the WPML installation is to register it with a special key. You can generate these keys only with an active WPML acccount.
I would like to inquire if your company offers any discounts for non-profit organizations when purchasing WPML.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response. 🙂

They are:
Ndebele
Pedi (SePedi)
Sotho (Southern Sotho)
Swazi
Tsonga
Tswana
Venda
isiXhosa
These are the 8 of the 12 official languages spoken in South Africa that we need. The other 3 is available in WPML.

Hello Tomer,
Thank you for getting back to me.

I’m not a developer and I’m not sure what you mean by “activate the Google Indexing API for multiple translated domains”. Could you please provide some details? I will consult your question with our experts for the “domain per language” topic. You can also check this page:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/
Thank you.
Hi
I have a lifetime subscription, but my account apperently does not exist anymore.
Can you please help me recreate the account?
Best regards
Simon
Hello Simon,
yes, you have a lifetime account (registered with the same email address you used to post this comment with). If you don’t remember the password please us this link: https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/
You can add new websites, the account is still active and will never expire.
Hi there,
Can you advise following plugin
Google for Woocommerce
https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-listings-and-ads/
is fully compatible with WPML.
Google for Woocommerce create product listings in multiple countries.
Will WPML use the correct language translation product listing for different countries?
thanks
Regards
Hello Max,
Can you ask how you know that this plugin is fully compatible with WPML?
I cannot see it on our list of compatible plugins:
https://wpml.org/plugin/
I found this one: https://wpml.org/plugin/woocommerce-google-product-feed/ but not the one you mentioned.
Hello,
I am a developer and I am looking to buy another license for a different client. Now, if my both/either of the clients decide not to renew, then will the site stop working or they can keep using it without renewing?
Thanks,
Vidish
WPML will work and you can keep your translation even if you don’t renew your subscription/or cancel it. However, we cannot anticipate what will happen in the future if your client will update WordPress but won’t update WPML plugins.
Hi there,
I would like to ask you if I can setup a wordpress website using your plugin in International English (global version), English US, English UK, English Ireland, and English CA.
And can all of this versions be included in the language switcher?
Thank you in advance!
Hello Rick,
Thanks for your interest. You can set up the English versions as custom languages.
See here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/
Can I cancel the renewal?
I didn’t notice that we had automatic subscription, and I have already left this project. The project has ended, so I don’t need to cover this cost anymore.
Do I have to pay first and then request a refund?
Is it not possible to cancel directly?
Hello,
Yes, if the payment was not processed yet, to cancel the subscription please log in to your WPML account.
You will see the subscription details on the left and the word Modify next to it. Click on it and you will find the option to cancel your subscription.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind regards,
hi
I checked my order, and it’s currently created but the status is ‘on hold’. From what I understand, I can only pay, and there’s no option to cancel.
If I leave it as is, will it automatically charge my PayPal? If it’s on hold and won’t charge, I’m okay with that, but I cannot accept any sudden charges. So I hope it’s not in that state. Can it be canceled instead, or can I request a cancellation? Thank you.
Hello,
let us check your case. We will reply to you directly via email.
Hi,
I am planning to purchase the Multilingual Agency plan.
This plan should allow me to install the plugin on unlimited websites. If I buy the license on October 19, 2024, and do not renew it by October 18, 2025, can I still install and activate this plugin on any brand new websites after October 18, 2025?
Thanks.
Hello,
to register new sites you need to have an active WPML subscription/account. In the case you described (after October 18, 2025? with an expired WPML account), you won’t be able to use WPML on new sites. One of the step of the WPML installation is to register it with a special key. You can generate these keys only with an active WPML acccount.
