  1. Hi – We have created a few websites for patient education on our research studies. We are using WP as the framework, but the theme is highly customized. Is there the opportunity to use the WPML plug-in on a free trial basis to see if it will work for our translation needs prior to purchasing. Thanks in advance.

    Now I have bought a licsence but not able to link the existing WPML with the new login, Please remember that I DON’T WANT TO LOOSE ANY existing data with WPML on this website, so please gove me steps on linking.

    I did hit No, on “Are you using an expired WPML for this site” and that’s asking me to buy again, now the payment was done by the client and not by me, so I have to link his account with the website. Please help asap.

    I was wondering if it’s possible to add an additional user as account manager or to transfer an account to another email?

    I will do a translation for a client with WPML, but I would like to setup the account with my email to simplify everything since I’m the one who will install and use the plugin.

    But I want to know if afterwards, I would be able to add the client’s email to the account to add him as the account manager, or simply transfer the account to him so he can continue translating in the future if he needs to?

      Yes, you will be able to edit any required details from the Personal details page of the account.

  7. Hello,

    I’m trying to buy WPML credits. Prepaid. It is advertised this is offered, and I have been searching for hours.

    I only run into issues like “first log-in” but there is no sign-up button.

    Clicking the prepaid link redirects me to the 3 yearly packages, which I don’t want.

    This is very frustrating/misleading and unuser friendly.

    Please just tell me how I can buy my WPML prepaid credits so I can move on…

    1. This product is compatible in latest Divi Theme version
    2. Can I use 2 language in page and post?
    3. I want to use 2 main menu. For 1 menu, including(Home, About Us, Contact us). For other menu, include (Home, About Us, Blog, Contact)
    This menu is depend on our language.

    Is possible to use your product and which plan I can use?

      1. WPML is compatible with Divi, including the latest Divi version but there are a few known issues – you can see them all here (please scroll down to the bottom of the page). If you find any issues with Divi, please report this through our support forum and our support team will help you.
      2. I’m not sure what exactly you mean by saying “Can I use 2 language in page and post?”. Yes, you can translate your pages and posts to two or more languages. Yes, you can translate your pages to one language and posts to another language too (if that’s what you meant).
      3. Yes, you can have different menus for languages. You work with menu translation through the WPML > WP Menus Sync screen. By default WPML will show translated pages in all your menus but you can create a separate menu for each language when working with the WPML > WP Menus Sync screen.
      You need the Multilingual CMS package.

  9. Hi, can I buy the $99 dollar version as a website builder and charge three clients to put the translation module on their site or just for the work I put into translating the site?? If that’s allowed and I get more sites, can I upgrade to the $199 version and expand?

    • Hello,
      it’s up to you for what you charge your own clients. We don’t allow to resell WPML as a product (e.g. you are now allowed to create a website with selling WPML plugins) but you can charge your clients for any services related to using WPML, e.g. installing the WPML plugins on their websites etc. Please note the following:
      – when installing WPML you will be asked to insert the license/site key in the last step of the WPML wizard – only the person who purchase WPML can generate such a key
      – your clients can sign up for extra credits with a separate email and they do this from within their WordPress site (this is called Pay-as-you-go)
      – you can transfer WPML renewals to your clients and earn some money when doing so, please check the details here
      Yes, you can upgrade to the Agency package if you have a need to register more than 3 websites. In that case, you will pay the difference between the CMS and the Agency package. You will find an option to do so on your WPML account.

    We are trying to renew the subscription of your WPML account. We took some time to figure out the payment method.

    We noticed that the price has changed from €74 to €99. We are not sure what happen since we order the subscription renewal last week.

    We are not able to use the “submit issue” since we are not “paying users.” Please help!

      it seems that you had switched your renewals to manual ones and then you forgot to renew on time. It’s been more than 30 days since your expected renewal date and therefore I’m not sure if we can do anything about this. My colleagues helping with renewals will know better. Please use this form to report your case.

  11. Hello,

    We are selling vintage collectibles such as postcards, photos, ephemera, books and we are located in Istanbul, Turkey. We have been testing WPML and Multi-Currency Features for WooCommerce on our staging site for some time. We nearly completed all the translations but realized that Multi-Currency Features for WooCommerce are only available for Paypal, Stripe and direct payments. Our payment provider is iyzico (https://www.iyzico.com/) and it has capacity to get global payments with different currencies and also auto-translate features. Unfortunately, since your WC plugin does not include iyzico, we are unable to get direct credit card payments across our global customers. Could you suggest an alternative method or solution in order to avoid this issue?

      Adding multicurrency support for a plugin would need from the author collaboration. However, you should be able to process your orders in a currency.
      If that’s not the case, I recommend you to open a chat in our support forum for better analyse your case.

      I can see that your site is registered in our system 4 times with 4 different user accounts (3 from previous years and the last one with your user from Jan 13, 2025) and this might be the reason of your issues (that the previous registrations have not be removed). Please try to unregister your site and register it again. This should help to establish the correct connection, only with your site.
      1. Go to your WordPress site: Plugins > Add new plugin > Commercial tab
      2. Click Unregister WPML from this site
      3. From the same screen, please click Register WPML
      4. Click Get a key for this site
      You will be redirected to your WPML account and a new site key will be generated.
      5. Grab the new site key and return your WordPress site to the Commercial tab and paste the key into the form and finish the registration.
      If this doesn’t solve your problem, please get back to us and let us know and we will arrange further help.

  12. Hello, I have been working with the Multilingual CMS package so far, but now I don’t need any more automatic translations. If I switch back to the Multilingual Blog, will I lose my previous translations like in the navigation menu, etc.? Thanks in advance for your answer.

    • Hello,
      if your site uses the classic menu (managed under Appearance > Menus) and not the so-called Full Site Editing block menu, they Blog package will handle such a menu as well and you won’t lose the translation of your menu. You will keep your existing translations of pages, posts and categories after the switch to the Blog account. Please note that the Blog subscription doesn’t support String Translations so if you have been using the WPML String Translation plugin (WPML > String translation), this functionality will be no longer available.
      Here’s how to handle that switch properly:
      1. Let your existing subscription expire – simply do nothing, I can see your WPML account is set to manual renewals
      2. After February 26, 2025 you will be able to purchase again. Select the Blog subscription this time.
      3. Go to your site and unregister the site (Plugins > Add new plugin > Commercial tab)
      4. Register it again from within that Commercial tab, this time it will be connected with your site that uses the Blog package.

  15. Thanks for your reply. It’s strange, I am using it on my website. Maybe because the license upgrade has expired? I bought it several years ago, maybe like 5 years ago. I guess that there is some upgrade fee that is less compared to first time purchase. So I need to create a new account and buy the plugin again in order to upgrade? From WP admin I see mine version is 4.2.1 and I am not able to upgrade from the WP Admin panel, from this screen here https://ibb.co/mFLmygX

    • Thank you for your screenshot. The information if a site is registered is presented in the top part of the Commercial tab, which is not visible on your screen. Anyways, the WPML 4.2 version you use is very old (5+ years). Our last version is 4.6.15. You have to update your WPML plugins to the last versions. Updating from a very old version with such a huge version gap might be tricky and that it would be best to do this on a copy of your site first. If you cannot have a copy, contact our technical support for some hints how to do this gradually to avoid issues. WPML can be used on a website even the site it’s not registered. Registration is needed to get started and only for updates so someone might have registered the site in the past and then unregister it. You can register it again with the same WPML account or a new one, it doesn’t matter. Yes, you need to purchase again and update your WPML plugins.

    Maybe for this reasons updating site from WP admin doesn’t work when I tried.

    First time I open Commercial Tab I see that my site was not registered, but it’s strange otherwise how I would be able to install it years ago.
    Then I was proposed to register website and I saw message “Your subscription end in 2 days. To continue receive updates you must renew your subscription.” (today is saying 1 day)

    I can’t contact technical support since I don’t have access to my account.

    As I understand from your suggestions, is that I need to create a new account, buy a new license (no upgrade license is available?) and then get in touch with support for upgrade.

    I have still to 20 January time to upgrade, after that date my hosting provider will drop support for PHP 7.4 and with current version of WPML PHP 8.1 doesn’t works, it’s the only plugin that doesn’t work with PHP 8.1, I get the error E_COMPILE_ERROR from Twig somewhere in the code. So for this reasons I think by upgrading will fix the issue.

    Please confirm.

      I managed to find your website in our system and it was registered on 2020-01-30 by a user with a similar nick as yours but with a different email address (something with tuta – maybe this will tell you something, I cannot share the full email address). That subscription expired on February 22, 2020 so you won’t do much with it anyway.

      You can register your site and then after some time unregister it and still use WPML without any problems. The active registration is required only for updates (and our support help).
      WPML is compatible with PHP8+. You can buy WPML with any email you want, after purchasing WPML you can go to the Commercial tag, and register it again with a new key. Then, you will be able to update but as I mentioned, please try it out on a copy first.
