  1. I see that my subscription has expired but cannot find a link to renew. Please advise, I am not looking to buy again but simply renew for the preferred rate.

    • Hello Christien,
I see your subscription expired in May. Did you not receive the mail with the reminder to renew for 50%?
I will check with the technical team if there was any issue sending it. I will contact you back about this via e-mail.

      Kind regards,

  2. We are working on a new website with WordPress. Have installed polylang, but are thinking of switching to wpml, because also need a bilingual woocommerce shop.
Is it possible to “switch” from Polylang to WPML? How to do it? Does information get lost, like the position of the language-switcher etc.
    Thanks for your reply!

  3. Hi there,

I just want to make sure I understand the pricing. If I opt for the middle plan, I will pay 79 now and then 39 each year after?

    Kind Regards,
    Brandon Axley

    • Hello
I found the code via internet. I have a wordpress site . Must I manually translate all the text including menus headers etc do I need a domain for each translated language ?
      Kind regards

      • Hi Karen, thanks for the info.

“I found the code via internet.”
That’s weird since we don’t support any discounts now. Maybe it is very very old.

“Must I manually translate all the text including menus headers etc”
        Yes, you translate manually.

” do I need a domain for each translated language ?”
No need. WPML will create virtual directories for each of your languages.

  4. Hello
Im interested of buying the basic translation for blogs etc..
    Questions
    1. Is it true that for 29$ i can translate unlimited websites?
    2. I dont have a blog but i have a regular page.. Can i translate my page with this solution or this solutions is just for blogs?
    3. Is this type of translation is SEO friendly?
    4. How much will i pay after 1 year if i choose to use this plugin?

    • Hello Aleksandar,

      1. For $29 you can use WPML for unlimited websites. WPML doesn’t translate your sites.
      2. Yes, you can but please note that with the Blog subscription you might not be able to translate all of your site’s elements/strings, just the basic ones such as pages, posts, tags, categories, menus.
      3. Yes, WPML works with the most popular SEO plugins but you need the CMS version.
      4. If you renew your subscription before your current one expires you will pay $39 (CMS) or $15 (Blog). You can also upgrade to the Lifetime if you need so you don’t need to renew every year.

  5. Hey guys. I’m contemplating getting WPML, since we’re looking to add more languages to our store. I understand that WPML is capable of doing so, while also providing multiple currencies for the respective countries.

My question is, will the currency automatically be applied to the visitors experience with GeoLocate? If not, do you have any recommendations as to what plugin/service to use to apply this.

    • Hey Danny, that won’t happen automatically. But if you assign each currency to a specific language and the user changes the language (using a language switcher is the best option) they will see the products in the correct currency. Please note that it is likely that your multilingual site will attract organic traffic from search engines, which means that the user searching for some content will be directed to the page in language he/she performed his/her search in.

  6. RE: woocommerce multilingual
I am about to purchase woocommerce bookings plugin, but I see that people are having problems with the datepicker and the date format (i.e. dd/mm/yy) not translating and displaying correctly, even with woocommerce multilingual installed. Is there a resolution for this or any documentation regarding the correct settings? I would like to puchase both wpml and woocommerce multilingual if I know that things will work proplery.
    Thank you in advance!
    Rob

  7. Hi!

I’m wondering if there is a trial license which is able to be applied or not. We are evaluating the WP multi-languange solution and considering which your pricing plan should we take.

    • Hi,
we don’t have any trial license by our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days without any risk.

The Blog version is a good one for simple sites such as blogs since it allows you to translate posts, pages, tags, categories, menus. You won’t translate any other elements/strings using the Blog version.

Please note that you can get started with the Blog version and upgrade to the CMS version later for the difference in purchase price.

  8. Dear,
I would like to buy WPML plugin but before I need to get some clarifications from your support. Actually I import all products, thousands of items ( IT language) through plugin Woocommerce CSV Import and it works well. But now I want to translate my site into a multilingual website with english language and I really would like to use WPML plugin.
How can I mass import all my products in two languages? Can I continue to use Woocommerce?
Before making purchase, I would like to understand how to proceed
Thanks in advance for your reply

  9. Dear Sales team,

I am thinking about acquiring the WPML plugin for my website. I am not sure though, which version I should choose. These are the requirements I have

    – I need two different languages with two different URL´s for each respective site
    (www.domain.product1/en/ & http://www.domain.product1/dk/ )
    – I need the opportunity to configure the YOAST SEO Title Tags for each page and language.

    Thank you for your help.

  10. Hi Team,

I am developing the above website for a client. At the moment we are using iThemes exchange as an ecommerce platform. I was wondering if WPML does support ithemes exchange as I have already checked bot Polylang and qtranslate and they seem to support only WooCommerce.

    Thanks for your time
    Best
    Daniele

  11. Hi, I bought your plug-in on October 9, but my account is still not active. I cant see in the Order History. It’s quite annoying because to request support I have to buy the product, I bought it but I cant have direct support… please let me how we can fix that as soon as possible. If you need I have the transaction number in paypal, also the code of transaction: Codice transazione
    8TM02599X1853581K thank you

  12. Hello! We are planning to buy the lifetime version of WPML but we are located in the Canary Islands, and thus we are exempt of VAT. The problem is when we try to complete the order, the system doesn’t give any possibility to exclude VAT from the total price. Please, let us know how can we proceed with the order in this case?

  13. Hola, quiero comprar la licencia cms… tengo un nif (vat number) europeo y leo esto
For businesses registered in EU reverse VAT charge will be applied / Para empresas registradas a tal efecto, se realiza el cobro revertido.

Me podeis explicar que es esto?… pago el iva y luego me lo devuelven?

  14. Hi
I would like to know by installing your plugin, is it able to translate invoices to Chinese language? We are using “WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips” to generate invoice.

    • For your suggested plugin to work, do we need to install WPML first?
Does it only work with multilingual blog? Or need to purchase multilingual CMS?
      Does it support Chinese invoice?
May I know what are the known issues with this plugin?
      Thanks!

      • Hello Zin,
It is the same what plugin you install first. You will need the String Translation module, which comes included in the CMS or Lifetime version. I have asked the tech team about your specific questions and I will let you know as I get a response.

        Best,

      • Hello again,
I have received an update from the technical team. They say that it has known issues which make the plugin useless for now. Once the issues get fixed, Chinese will be supported.
Let me know if you would like to be informed when the issues get fixed.

        Best,

  15. Hi there,

I think this might be a silly question but let me just make sure: Can WPML be added to an existing English site or does one need to start from scratch to get the plugin to work?

    Regards

    Edwin

  16. Hello,

I am supporting a client who has a site using WPML – we are looking to migrate the site but as soon as we activate the WPML plugins the site stops working (exact copy) – as we want to validate everything is working before transferring over the license how can we do that please?

    Thanks.

  17. Hi folks, I have a series of separate sites that I want to combine into a single site. Each site is currently focused on a country, so some of the sites are in English and some are in other languages.

I would like to bring all the sites into one WordPress installation and use categories or URLs to determine which language the content and menus should be served in.

So if my sites are for USA, Australia, Germany, and France, I’d like my categories or other aspects of the URL to determine the language.

    so

    http://mysite.notreal/usa/topcategory/pagename should be in English

    http://mysite.notreal/australia/topcategory/pagename should be in English

    http://mysite.notreal/germany/hauptKategorie/seitenname should be in German

    http://mysite.notreal/france/categoriesuperieure/nomdelapage should be in English

Can WPML help make this possible?

    • Hello Frank,
thanks for your interest in WPML and your questions. You can bring all the sites into one WordPress installation. If these websites are currently running on WordPress and these are posts and pages, you can use the WordPress import/export tools to move them quickly. Then, after installing WPML you would need to assign each of them to the appropriate language and establish connection between them (which post is a translation of which one)

WPML creates languages in virtual directories for example

      yoursite.com – primary language
      yoursite.com/ge – German version

  18. Hi,
I have a question about the feature “Translate pages created with page builders” in the CMS version. I am using the Divi Builder and would like to know how this works in reality. It would be a big benefit to have a single design and then translate only the text…Does this mean that translations are performed at the Divi module level rather than page level?
    Thanks,
    Victoria

  19. do you have a trial period I can test?

I have customers in south america, Europe, and Middle east..
I need to translate my site into those languages..
I will use my own translations and post it myself..
I just need the widget or dropdown in the menu so they can easily change there language
I do not want the automatic translator to do my translations…
Also what plugin package is good for my needs? out of the (3) you offer..
    thanks!

    • Hey Mark,
yes, do do have a trial period. After purchasing WPML you have 30 days to test it. If it turns out it doesn’t satisfy your needs, just fill out the following form: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/ and we will refund your order.

Yes, using WPML you will be able to add the language switcher to your menu or/and widget and footer.

If your site is just a simple blog, the Multilingual Blog subscription should suffice. If your page use many custom strings to be translated such as theme options, widgets, sliders you might need the Multilingual CMS. You can start with the Blog subscription and upgrade to the CMS one later for the difference in purchase price. You will find a link in your account to do so.

    • Hello,
thanks for your interest in WPML. No, the Multilingual Blog won’t suffice. To translate your WooCommerce products you need the Multilingual CMS package. Please check the following page to see what plugins are required.

  20. hello

I bought the Multilingual CMS plugin and paid for it (I got the confirmation from paypal). So far, however, I can not download it. The system forces the data to account and I did not set up an account. how to deal with it

    • Hey Paulina, we send an email with credentials to your WPML account immediately after your purchase is marked as completed. Please check your spam folder or use this link to reset your password: https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/

It it doesn’t work it means that you made a typo in your email. If that’s the case, please use this form to send us your order number with the correct email. We will revise your record and send the credentials again

  21. Hi,

I work for an LSP and use Wordbee Beebox.

One of our clients who uses WordPress wanted us to translate their website, so I recommended that they purchase the WPML plugin because it can connect to our Beebox platform.

However, after they installed it, they cannot see Beebox in the list of Translation Services. All they see is SDL Cloud. How can I make Beebox available.

    Thanks,
    Anthony.

    • Hi Mercedes.

We solved it. In case this comes up again for other users, they have to make sure the Client selects Beebox or other service provider in their preferred Translation Service provider in their WPML account on http://www.wpml.org, otherwise we won’t see it in the WPML plugin on WP.

      Cheers,
      Anthony.

    • Actually there was one other option that had to be enabled from within the WPML plugin in WP.
In the Support\Trouble Shooting section in the plugin, there is an option to enable all Translation Services. This was set to just SDL, so had to enable all services for it to show everything including Beebox.

      Cheers,
      Anthony.
