I like to prefend that I tranfser problems of the old site due to the updates to my new website I just built. Can you give me instructions for that?
Thanks!

Hello Yolande,
You are welcome to remove the url and register the new one in your Sites page. You can do this as many times as you need it as long as your subscription is active.
Par défaut, vous devez fournir vos propres traductions mais vous pouvez également utiliser des traductions automatiques si vous activez notre éditeur ATE (WPML -> Paramètres).
Hi. We just bought WPML
We would like to translate our webshop to more different languages. The things is SOME of the country’s will have their own warehouse;
For example, our warehouse in Sweden will sell and send to Norway, Danmark and German and the we have I warehouse in Turkey and they will sell only to Turkey.
Thank you for purchasing WPML.

Hello
Just wondering is it mandatory to renew every year?
if I don’t renew annually, will it mess up the content or what will happen after the licence expired?
Hello, no, renewals are optional. If you don’t renew, you can still use WPML and your content won’t change, renewals are for updates and our support help.
I am looking into buying your extension for WordPress. However, we have a custom template (built it ourselves). I was wondering whether WPML will also work in our situation?
Hello,
could you explain me the pricing of your product – do I have to pay on yearly basis, or I can pay just once (for example 79 USD) and later on no fees will be applied? (I understand that no support would be possible then)
I am thinking of switching to WPML but would like to know how much that would cost to get started. Do you have a plugin which would estimate the cost to translate the content (mostly posts) into 5 languages?
Then after the initial translation, what would be the minimum yearly fee?
Hello Marcel,
To use machine translation you need the Multilingual CMS package ($79). That the price for the first year of your WPML subscription. Next years are $59 each (in case you still need access to updates and our support assistance).
Now, if you want the machine translations, you need to go to WPML -> Settings and enable our ATE editor. When you use ATE and “send” a page to translation ATE you will see the number of words to translate in the upper part of your page. Here’s the pricing: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
As you can see you will get 10 000 per month for free and then you we charge you according to the table in the page above.
I don’t think there is a way to estimate the cost in advance for more than one page but let me double-check with our ATE team…
Mercel, my colleagues from the ATE team tell me that you can get an estimate for multiple pages when you use the bulk translation feature (select all pages you want and you will see an estimated word count).
Please note that after buying WPML you will have 30 days to test our plugins and during that trial, you can ask all sorts of technical questions on our support forum if needed.
I’ve already checked and saw that WPML is compatible with Newspaper theme but unfortunatelly i saw it’s not compatible with one major plugin I use: RankMath SEO.
Before making the purchase, could you please tell me if my site will work correctly with WPML if RankMath is also installed?
Hello,
we don’t know if RankMath SEO will work because it was never tested by out Compatibility Team. This is what I found about this plugin in our support forum: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/rankmath/
Silviu, please wait for my update. Turns out that this plugin is compatible. I need to check something with our Compatibility Team and get back to you.
My colleagues from the Compatibility Team tell me that the RankMath SEO is compatible with WPML. There is still one ticket left related to this thread but in a few days, we should have an announcement post about the WPML and RankMath SEO compatibility.

Hi Alex,
Company OnTheGo Systems Limited. Tax ID 1683657. We accept credit card payments, including AMEX
The legal info will available in the invoice you will receive after the payment.
I bought the plugin in its Multilingual CMS version last friday (29/05), unfortunately during the process of purchase I misstyped my email address and continue payment with my paypal account (registered with a -hotmail.com email). Payment was made succesfully but I never received information in order to download the plugin. Can you please verify if there was a problem during the process so we can continue with the purchase. Thanks for the help!
Hello Stella,
I have fixed the address and sent a password reset link. Please make sure to check your spam folder and that your e-mail provider or server is not blocking our emails. Waiting for your confirmation.
I have a Multisite and I’m willing to use WPML for woocommerce on two of the sites, products are retrieved and updated from the main one to sync stocks, but translation I only want in two dependant sites.
How can I manage to work with WPMLm should I install on every site and update products, only on dependant sites? do you have further information for me to make my mind clear and select your great plugin?
If you are working in a multisite, you can use WPML in both ways, by network or per site. According to your description, it seems the better scenario would be to use it per site and activate it only in those 2 subsites. https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/
Hi. Why did you remove from the list of languages – Kazakh? He was there and the flag is even there. But there is no standard choice of the Kazakh language. You have to add your own language and register kz_KZ there and load the flag. There is Uzbek and other, but no Kazakh.
Hello,
indeed I cannot see Kazakh on the list of our default languages. I will ask our development team if there was any specific reason to do so. But I’m happy you managed to find a workaround.

Well, do you include the Kazakh language in the general list of languages when installing the plugin?
Please 🙂
I will share your note with our devs but to answer your question, no, this language is not included and you need to add it manually (takes a few clicks)
The icon in the folder you shared can be used by users to add languages without the need to find an image for a flag that matches the look of the other flags.
I was planning on buying WPML in the name of my business and wanted to pay with my bank account of my business. However I am not able to pay with paypal and my linked bank account. It is only able to be paid with a credit card.
I do not want to pay with my credit card. I would like to either get an invoice I can simply transfer the money to a certain bank account or have you deducting the amount from my bank account.
I searched for an answer everywhere but could not find any.
I will need WPML to translate images links :

Is it possible? How ?
If so, can it be done without duplicating the original file? (only one file uploaded but with a translated link for each language)
Do you know if there is a way to automate translation of words in image URL after they have been duplicated?
Can I add strings somewhere in WPML so words in media / image URL are automatically translated in the newly duplicated picture for all the languages?
Examples
(FRENCH TO ENGLISH) :
photo-de-ville -> picture-of-city
ville -> city
(FRENCH TO SPANISH)
photo-de-ville -> foto-de-ciudad
ville -> ciudad
So, when adding spanish translation and when duplicating original french file photo-de-ville.jpg to spanish version, it would automatically turns into image foto-de-ciudad.jpg, also duplicating ville.jpg in spanish version would turns automatically into : ciudad.jpg
I know strings work for other area but not sure for media / image URLS.

Hi, I am trying to choose between various multi language plugin for wordpress. I just to enquire if:

your answers will help me decide. Awaiting your reply. Thank you
1. Yes, if your theme and plugins are RTL ready, WPML supports your RTL translations.
2. If you want to modify your translations adjustments, you should use your WordPress editor instead of our Advanced or Classical Translation Editor, but yes, it is possible.
3. We have two, our Advanced Translation Editor and our Classical Translation Editor. https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
4. Yes, WPML works fine with Godaddy. However, the higher your Goddaddy package is, the better your experience will be.

I want to create an Arabic version of my website. If someone makes an order in the Arabic version will I receive the woocommerce order in my preferred language of English?

– Admin will receive emails in his profile language, English in your case.
Hi WPML team:
I am in the process of building a multi-language website for our company and trying to evaluate on multi-language plug-ins for WordPress. I am wondering if there is a demo/trail version WPML that I can download to run on our test site in our local network only for this evaluation purpose. I know there is the 30 day money back policy, however our company purchasing policy doesn’t allow me to do something like that. Is there any other alternative solutions? Thank you in advance.
Hello Michael,
purchasing WPML with our 30-day money-back policy is the only way to test WPML in your local network. You can test WPML on one our Toolset demo sites (https://discover-wp.com/site-types/gyms-and-trainers/ you would need to click Create demo site and then choose “The site will be multilingual”) but you won’t be able to use your theme and plugins there and rely on what is already installed.
I have tried the demo site, however it doesn’t have elementor on it. I did find some documents supports that WPML can fully support Elementor, and eCommerce Catalog Plugin, just want to confirm with you if those are correct information.
Also, do you have any sample document that I can use as prove of purchase from WPML? I need to double check with our accounting dept to see if they can accept that and how I can go about processing the purchase.
I am looking for a translation plugin for WordPress. So I have a few questions to ask. First, can I translate every sentence or string of my site manually? (some automatic translations are wrong) Second, can WPML translate an embedded form(not using contact form 7 or others form plugin) Third, can WPML translate the selector of the country on a payment form?
Yes, you can provide your own translations (that’s the WPML default mode). I don’t know much about your custom form. If it’s coming from a plugin that is compatible with WPML, then yes, it will be translatable, for others, hard to tell without testing.
I’m sorry but these forms were never tested by our Compatibility Team. We test plugins and I cannot see anything related to activecampaign. If the forms are not compatible as a workaround you will need to create a few copies, each for each language.

Is a subdomain considered a different site from its parent domain and needs a different license?
If your subdomain is a separate WordPress install, then yes. If it is a subside of your WordPress Multisite, no.

Hello Rytis,
The renewal fee is required to keep updates and support. You can keep using whatever you have installed on your site if you don’t renew.

We have a small multisite network of six subdomains. Do we need the agency licences for this or will the CMS license cover us. Thanks

Yes, now it’s possible.https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/#when-to-use-wpml-media-translation
I have already read this page but nowhere it states that you can translate LINKS (i see you can translate title but not links)
Also, the link is the same for the english and spanish version on this screenshot :
https://cdn.wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/translating-page-with-image.jpg
So is it possible or not?
Hello there,
Sorry for the confusion.
If you check this section, you can see that the post is using a different image in every language. For making that happen it is necessary to use a different image per language, thus a different link:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/#when-to-use-wpml-media-translation
Regarding the screenshot you mentioned, it corresponds to another section in our documentation which does not use a different image.
Don’t hesitate to open a ticket in our support if you have further questions:

Thank you for your clear answer!
Do you know if there is a way to automate translation of words in image URL after they have been duplicated?
Can I add strings somewhere in WPML so words in media / image URL are automatically translated in the newly duplicated picture for all the languages?
Examples
(FRENCH TO ENGLISH) :
photo-de-ville -> picture-of-city
ville -> city
(FRENCH TO SPANISH)
photo-de-ville -> foto-de-ciudad
ville -> ciudad
Is this possible?
This would save a lot of time…
Thank you
I’m not a customer yet but need to know if WPML has this feature 🙂
Thank you
I’m glad to know it helped! 🙂
In order to achieve something similar, you could use our ATE and add your images to the translations jobs. In that way, you can translate your post/pages with its images and our “translation memory” should recover that content.

Hello Cole,
Yes you can transfer the account by editing the personal and payment method details after the purchase completes.

Hi,
Wondering, whether it translated also from English to Armenian, since I have not found the languages it translates to anywhere.
Also, how can I estimate how much will cost the whole website translation?
and renewal after 1 year of subscription, what will that cost for first and upcoming years?
Thanks
Hello Arevik,
WPML can translate between any language pair https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/
Check this article to help you estimate the cost https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/getting-a-word-count-of-your-wordpress-site/
The cost will depend on the translation method you choose (manual/automatic/professional translation service)
The first year you will pay for the full price as shown here https://wpml.org/purchase/. The renewal has a 25% discount fee

Got it, thank you.
Thank you.
Hi Michael,
yes, we are compatible with Elementor.
We haven’t tested the eCommerce Catalog plugin so I cannot say much about this one.
Here’s where you can see a WPML invoice:

I am looking for a translation plugin for WordPress. So I have a few questions to ask. First, can I translate every sentence or string of my site manually? (some automatic translations are wrong) Second, can WPML translate an embedded form(not using contact form 7 or others form plugin) Third, can WPML translate the selector of the country on a payment form?
Yes, you can provide your own translations (that’s the WPML default mode). I don’t know much about your custom form. If it’s coming from a plugin that is compatible with WPML, then yes, it will be translatable, for others, hard to tell without testing.
We are using an embedded form of activecampaign, so whether WPML is compatible with? You can check the form on the register page.
I’m sorry but these forms were never tested by our Compatibility Team. We test plugins and I cannot see anything related to activecampaign. If the forms are not compatible as a workaround you will need to create a few copies, each for each language.
