  1. Is the plugin compatible with the buddyboss theme? Can I use it for translation into Romanian?
I read the forum and it seems that there are some problems, but I saw that you manage to fix them.

    • Hello Timy, thank you for your interest in WPML. When you buy WPML a subscription is set up. You can cancel it at any time. If you cancel you can still use WPML plugins but you lose access to updates and our support forum. I hope it helps.

      • How does it work, if I cancel my subscription and want to activate it later again. Is it possible? Is there anything I need to consider?

        Best regards,
        Patricia

        • Hello Patricia,
If you cancel the subscription and want to renew later after it has expired, you will lose the discount and will have to pay the full price for it.
Otherwise, you can reactivate the automatic renewal at any time, as long as the subscription is active.

  2. Hi.

I am ruining shop in wordpress woocermmce platform .Now I want to make my website mutli language.

Is wpml support full website like custom post ,products etc ?

For single website what kind of wpml I need to buy?

    Looking forward.

    • Hi,
yes, we are compatible with WooCommerce and you can translate your products as well. You will need the Multilingual CMS package for your case.

  3. Hello,

We’re looking for comprehensive solution to auto-translate our elementor+WP website. In fact, we’re wondering your costing for auto-translate in detail, basically we don’t understand how to measure the specific costing.

Is it basic on visiting flow? Or total bytes that we need to translate for whole website?

    For example:
we used 15000 bytes, but no people to visit.
we used 15000 bytes, and giant visitors roaming auto-translate pages.

Curiously will you charge same costing as $7 or not?

We’re looking forward to you reply on it. Thank you.

    • Hello,
on your checkout, did you try the choose the “Alternative payment processor ” (Pay with your credit card via Stripe)? If so, what message did you get? In general Stripe accepts JCB but let me double-check with our admins.

  4. Yes, I tried
“Alternative payment processor ” (Pay with your credit card via Stripe)?

    The error message was..
The payment method can not be changed for that subscription.

    • As we can see you are trying to change the payment method for your subscription. Is that correct? Our admins are looking into it. I’ll keep you posted.

      • Due to JCB did not accepted by WPML, I tried with other VISA card and it was accepted.

        Now, I have 2 concerns:-
        1. Does JCB card accept or not?

        2. If JCB card accepted then how can I change the payment method for the next payment or at the time of renewal of WPML?

  5. Which version of WPML allows for me to have unlimited languages per website? For example, thai, vietnamese, english, chinese, and korean.

  6. Which version of WPML allows for me to have unlimited languages per website? For example, thai, vietnamese, english, chinese, and korean.

  7. Hi there,

I’m building a website for a client at the moment – it’s a multisite installation and I have finished the English version & now need to build out the other language versions.

What I would ideally like to do is duplicate the English installation, designate the new installation as e.g. Spanish, and have the language relationship between those sites automatically assigned during the process. So that e.g. the homepage on the new Spanish installation is already linked to the homepage on the original English installation, rather than having to go in and manually assign it.

Is this something that’s possible with the WPML plugin?

    Thanks

    Hannah

    • Hello Hannah,
thank you for your interest in WPML. If your intention is to use each of your subsites of your WP Multisite for different languages, then WPML won’t help here (this is how the multilingualpress https://multilingualpress.org/ plugin works). If however, you would like to create different language versions for each of your subsites, then you can use WPML and it will work the same as used on a single-instance WordPress.

      • Hi Agnes,

Many thanks for letting me know. My intention is that each of the sites on the multisite network will be a different language.

I think I’ve misunderstood what the WPML multisite feature is for – is it intended to create multilingual installations in a multisite network, rather than linking each single-language installation together?

        THanks

        Hannah

        • Hannah, when you say “WPML multisite feature” are you referring to a specif page/description on wpml.org? Seeing the context will help me better understand your case, what we kind of information we provide on our site and if both are related. Thank you.

          • Hi Agnes,

This is the page I’m referring to – sorry, I meant ‘support’ rather than ‘feature’ https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/

I’ve just re-read it with your original reply in-mind and I think I misunderstood it – where it said it could be network-activated I thought that meant it could be used to link pages between a network of different-language sites, but I see now it’s just referring to the difference between network-activating a plugin versus only activating it on specific sites on the network.

            Thanks for your help!

            Hannah

            • Thank you Hannah, yes, the page says: “Each child blog can have different languages.” so it’s not what you need.

  8. Is it possible to 100% correct migration from Polylang? In case of problems or dissatisfaction with WPML, do you return your money if someone stays with Polylang?

    • Yes, we have 30-day return policy. During the first 30 days you can also use our support forum. Each site is different and we cannot reassure your process will finish 100% as you would wish. Best to try (and on a copy).

  9. I purchased WPML yesterday but payment is still pending and I can’t download anything. How long does the process take?

    • Hello Shelley,
I am sorry for this. The invoice is pending payment, which means we have not charged you for it. You need to log in to your account and you will find a button to pay for it. Go to your Payment history and invoices page and you will find the invoice there. Click View order and you will find the button to pay and proceed to checkout. If you need to request a new password you can do it here https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/

      Kind regards,

  10. Hello,

I would like to know if WPML works with Yoast SEO free plugin or if do I need to buy Yoast SEO Premium for it to work? Can you please let me know?

    Thanks,

    Oliver

  11. You write that the cms version may be used on 3 sites. Do subdomains on a multisite count as additional sites or is it considered a single installation?

  12. Hi there,

I want to translate my website to German, but i also have the german TLD (with germany extension) (www.padelfactory.de). Is it possible to use the plugin for translation and connect it to this TLD? Most plugins i see only allow you to get a subdirectory on the original domain name.

    Kind regards,

    Edgar Walterbos

  13. Hi there,

Our wordpress installation is in english because thats what we get most visitors with.
Now we want to add some new pages – and already have the content we need through some brochures we developed some time ago. But these are in our mother tongue.

So – is it possible to have an english installation – but to add a new page in another language first – and then translate this to english?

I would have tried myself – but couldn’t find a demo.

    • I replied to this question already but just in case, let me say it again, yes, this is possible.
      In WPML you can both:
      1. set up a non-English language as your primary language
      2. regardless of your primary language, you can always post posts/pages in your non-primary language first (and even left them without translation)

  14. Hi there,

  15. I am interested in the multilingual CMS version.

But i wonder what “Websites you can register 3” means in detail.

I am asking because of my workflow:
    1. i make changes on my website on a local installation – my sandbox.mydomain.com environment
    2. the changes i then upload to a subdomain of my working page to test – my staging.mydomain.com environment
    3. if this works flawlessly i upload the changes to the normal website – mydomain.com

I also separate webshop and normal website into mydomain.com and shop.mydomain.com.

So what applies here? I do the changes locally and use one domain with 3 subdomains.

    thx

    • 3 websites, means you will be able to generate 3 registration keys. You can use WPML on your staging/testing sites without the registration key and the plugins will work but without a site being registered you won’t be able to update the plugins via your WordPress panel. You can add and delete keys for different domains as many times as you want, but you can have 3 sites registered in the same time with the multilingual CMS version.

  16. How do you calculate words for automatic translation? Is it based on the number of word in the actual content or each translation?

For example: I have a 50 word of content in English and I want to translate it to 3 other languages. For this whole translation, do I spend 50 words or 3×50=150 words?

  17. I want to buy your WPML plugin for my website text, english to bengali translate, but i can’t find this plugin trail version. I want to test the plugin that it would be translate bengali clearly or not if possible please give me an opportunity for testing purpose only for english to bengali translate.

If it works then i will buy this plugin for yearly basis.
    thanks

    • Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML. We don’t provide a trial version where you could test the machine translations. Machine translations are available in WPML when you enable the ATE editor in WPML settings. Our ATE editor uses the Microsoft Azure translation engine (soon we will have also Google and DeepL) and yes, it supports bengali. You can buy WPML with keeping our refund policy in mind which allows you to test WPML (and even use our support) for 30 days without any risk.
