  1. We are interested in your product to help us with multilingual translations. Please let me know what are the steps to get my staging site up and running. If would be great if you have a trial version. We are looking to see if we need a developer to get the plugin setup and tested.

  2. I am setting up a multi-currency web store (CAD & USD). Apparently to charge in the correct currency (as the store sets the prices not based on exchange rate) we need to use two Stripe accounts.

    Will WPML allow to:
    a) show multi currency (hopefully based on billing and/or shipping address or IP geolocation)
    b) allow to switch (sometimes a customer will call in and the customer support will place the order for the customer)
    c) allow (based on currency) to process through the correct stripe account?

    • Hello Russ,
      thank you for your interest in WPML. Is your store using WooCommerce? If so,
      a) yes, you can show multi-currency but you cannot default the currency according to the shipping address/IP geolocation. WPML allows redirecting the user to a given language according to their languages set in the browser.
      b) yes, you can display the language switcher for currencies
      c) yes, you can use this extension: https://wpml.org/plugin/woocommerce-stripe-gateway/

    For the moment I do my website multilingual on domain .pl but in future I need to set site .ru .de etc…

    1. Can Your soft translate children websites from parent web.

    eg. : parent.pl
    children:
    child1.de
    child2.ru
    etc…
    I suppose that I will be changing content on parent.pl and on children sites will be translating automatically.

    2. If Yes. Could You recommend a woocommerce plugin witch allow to manage warehouse and content on parent site and propagate it on children sites and it’s compatible with WPML?
    3. Can I get Your plugin for 2 weeks for testing?

      thank you for your interest in WPML.
      If you need to display other languages on separate domains, some extra work needs to be done on your server which is described in details here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/

      In this case, you need only one WordPress and one copy of WPML. I’m not sure what you mean by parent site. From WPML point of view, you make your main language the primary language and then you add other languages, which we call secondary languages. This is all done during the initial setup of WPML but of course, you can add other languages later.

      Nothing will happen automatically as WPML works now. When WPML 4.5 is released we will have “translate everything” option.

      WPML works with WooCommerce but I don’t know what you mean by “manage warehouse”. Please provide more details. Thank you.

    1. I have site with default lang 15k words
    2. I first month I am about to translate it to 3 langs so I pay eg. 17 USD
    3. Next month I don’t need to translate any thing I don’t pay anything.
    4. Second month I add short article for 500 words I in 2k free limit I don’ pay any thing

    Do I correctly understand Your policy ?

  5. We intend to purchase a Multilingual CMS license. Do we get automatic translation along with the license or we will have to engage
    3rd party translation services ?
    Whether the WPML Advanced Translation Editor comes included in the CMS license or it has to be procured separately ? ty. Regards.

  6. Hola, estamos interesados en comprar el multilingual cms ya que usamos divi para nuestro sitio. Sin embargo nos surge una duda y es que la ubicación del boton multilingue en nuestro sitio como ha sido diseñado no es en el menu principal ni en el footer, si no en una barra superior al menu que esta hecha en html, y una barra también en el footer hecho en html. Quisieramos estar seguros antes de hacer la compra que podemos agregar el boton multilingue en esos espacios a través de un shortcode tal vez o de la recomendación que nos hagan.

    We were thinking of using your plugin for our woo commerce website due to its support of multi language combined with multi currency. However, we were wondering if your plugin is compatible with the “WooCommerce MultiLocation Inventory & Order Routing” plugin as we had compatibility issues with this plugin. As this plugin is a crucial plugin for our website we wanted to make sure that your plugin works with this plugin.

    1. Is the translation a human translation? Will you provide us with human translation? Does manual translation cost extra?
    2. Do we need to manually publish multilingual pages? How much will it cost if you complete the accurate translation of all the pages and languages of the publication?
    3. After I stop using the plug-in, can the multi-language page still be used?

      thank you for your interest in WPML and your questions.
      1. By default, you create empty pages in other languages, which you can fill with your content and translations. Another possibility is to apply machine translations, which can speed up translating process significantly (of course you can make edits to these translations). Please see the pricing here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/ Last but not least, if you would like your content to be translated by a human, who is a professional translator, you can use one of the translation services we integrate with: https://wpml.org/translation-service/
      2. Yes, for now, manual action is needed. Once WPML 4.5 is out (read more about WPML beta in this post), there will be an option to handle translations fully automatically.
      3. Not really. WPML creates regular pages and posts in WordPress and your translations are saved in your WordPress but you need WPML to be active to run it properly. But you can cancel your WPML subscription and still use WPML plugins and existing translations.

      Thank you for your attempt to buy WPML. We can approve your order manually but first, we need to make sure that it has been completed normally on your Credit card / PayPal account. Let me contact the people who can check this. It can take a while but we will keep you posted. Until your order is marked as completed you won’t be able to download the WPML plugins.

  13. Is possible to use a csv for uploading translations.

    It’s for a woocommerce shop with 4 languages. The translations for the product are already made.

    Is it possible to translate the products by uploading a cvs by using the EAN code as the compare value?
    Since the ean code is the same for every product this seems the easiest.

    I need for one website only but to manage in multiple languages.

    • Hello,
      please consider buying the Blog package if: your site is a simple site, you don’t need to use machine translations, your site is not using a page builder (like Elementor, Divi, …). Otherwise use the CMS package. Please note that you can upgrade from Blog to CMS and from CMS to Agency for the difference in the purchase price.

    I have uninstalled WPML because too much issues and it was not working for me.
    I follow all the instruction from the support.

    Since when I logout from the backend I can still see this at the end of the url
    loggedout=true&wp_lang=fr_FR

    How come as I have unstalled WPML?

    How can I fix this?
    I have no longuer access to support because I got a refund but I still experience issues…

    Please help me to fix this.

    Is there a complete tutorial on how to cleanup Woocommerce after uninstall?

      sorry to hear that you had issues with WPML. You can try to go to WPML >> Support >> Troubleshooting and check one of the options there but here I’m replying pre-sales questions and I’m not a technical expert on cleaning up WPML sites. Let me get in touch with one of our supporters to see what they would advise in your case.

      Please click on the last screen to see how you reset WPML.

      And our supporter says that if you have your WordPress admin in any other language than English, every time your close your session, WordPress will log you out and will always add a language parameter matching your admin language.

    I don’t understand that why do we have to pay more for automatic translation if we are already paying for WPML plugin?
    What is the reason of using WPML plugin if we don’t have unlimited automatic translation added in the package?

    • Hello, you need to pay additionally because translation services such as Google, DeepL, and Microsoft are not free.

  19. Hello I have a subscription problem, the yearly payment was due yesterday but paypal did not accept the charge, I received your email and logged in to resolve the issue. The subscription details page (https://wpml.org/account/view-subscription) says:

    Your upcoming yearly renewal
    $73.16
    Pay Now

    If I click that “Pay Now” I am asked to pay $178.00, why is that?. I want to keep my subscription active.

      you shouldn’t be asked to pay $178.00. Let me check with my team why our system is asking you to pay $178.00. I’ll keep you posted and if needed, we will set up this order manually so you could pay the expected ammount.

      what happens to you is caused by a bug in our system and right now you have two options:
      1. Log into your WPML and update your payment by following the link you will see there, it should look like this: https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/what-you-will-see.png and then you can follow up with the purchase (you will be directed to the checkout page where you can complete your payment). When done we will issue a refund for the extra cost that was charged. To get your money quickly, you can request a refund right after paying.
      2. Wait until we apply the fix (it should go out this week on Wednesday) and then follow up with updating your payment details and processing the renewal after the fix is applied so that you will only be charged per the correct amount of the loyal renewal.
      We apologize for the inconvenience.

    • Hello, no, we don’t but renewals are optional and you can keep using the WPML plugins you have installed.

  20. Hi i have a problem with renewal.

    Auto-renewal didn’t process due to PayPal error. Now it asks me $220.72

    If i buy the same packet as new, it asks me to pay $197.16 and the yearly renewals cost $147.56

    all prices are with tax.

    Can you check it please?
