  1. Dear WPML Team,

We are currently using LearnDash LMS and are planning to translate our courses into Spanish and French. Each course includes video content, with separate Vimeo URLs for each language version of the videos.

Our question is: Can WPML redirect users to the appropriate Vimeo URL based on the selected language? For instance, if a user selects Spanish, they would be shown the Spanish version of the video.

Looking forward to your guidance on whether WPML supports this functionality.

    Thank you,
    Andrew

    • Hello Andrew,
Thanks you for your interest in WPML. Please note that LearnDash-content has to be translated manually in most of the cases. Making a LearnDash site fully translated with WPML is not a trivial task and that’s why I’d like to encourage you to read the process before you purchase WPML. Please read this documentation to see how WPML works with LearnDash and what kind of manual work you would need to do. If you provide a separate video link for a different language, yes, the end user will see the video in their language. Also there are two known issues with LearnDash, both explained at the bottom of this page.

  2. Hello,
I’m from education organizations, we cannot purchases any plugin without PO, so are you mind if I want to ask you to sent me a PO about WPML pricing – Multilingual CMS pleases.

  3. Is there a discount price for the Multilingual Agency renewal cost.

Eg: i buy it at 199Euro when i want to renew, does it renew at the same price or lower price since i already bought it

    • Hi Daniel,
The renewal fee is the same as the original price. You will pay 199 EUR for renewing your Agency account.

      Kind regards

  4. Hello, I’m interested in this plugin to auto translate based on the users browser language. I see you have a browser language redirect option… is that available in the “Multilingual Blog” version or do I need the “Multilingual CMS” version?

    Thanks!

    • Helle, the option to redirect the users according to their browser language is also available in the Blog package but the Blog package doesn’t allow you to translate you site automatically. So you would need to provide your translations if you buy the Blog package.

    • Hello, no, WPML is a WordPress plugin and therefore it works only on WordPress sites and doesn’t work with Squarespace. Thanks for asking anyway.

    • Hello,
if you give me the site name, I can check it for you in our system and will let you know what’s the WPML type of account it was registered with. If you would like to check it yourself, here’s what you can: please visit your WordPress site, go to Plugins > Add new plugin > switch to the Commercial tab and check the top “banner” it will read something like that: “Squarespace WPML is registered on this site. Your XXX account”

    • This website was registered by someone with the Lifetime account in October 2023. We no longer sell the Lifetime account but the Multilingual CMS package includes the same set of plugins as in the old Lifetime accounts.

  5. Inquiry About WPML Features for Translation and User Experience;
    Dear WPML Support Team,

I am considering using WPML for my WordPress website and would like to confirm if your plugin meets the following requirements:

Automatic Translation for Posts and Pages:
My website contains approximately 300 posts and 200 pages. Can WPML automatically translate all of these into different languages?

Language Detection Based on User Location or Browser Settings:
I would like users from different countries to see the site in their local language automatically, either based on their location or browser language settings. Does WPML support this functionality?

    Manual Correction of Translations:
Is there a feature or panel where I can review and manually correct any inaccurate translations?

I would appreciate it if you could confirm whether these features are supported and provide any additional details about how they work.

    Looking forward to your response.

  6. We are building a custom wordpress website theme. For most of the content on the pages, we will be creating posts and pages on wordpress itself and displaying those content on the pages we are developing. There are however, some pages where the content is hardcoded on the page itself in PHP. How can we use WPML to translate the entire website? Both the content that is present on the Pages, Posts on WordPress and the ones that are hardcoded on the code. Any API or function to wrap those texts to support translation?

  7. Hi,

We don’t have a business credit card available to pay the license. Is it possible to send us an invoice that we can pay by bank?

    Looking forward to hearing.

    With best regards,

  8. Hello,

Is the 39€ blog version of WPML compatible with the WP Twenty Twenty Four Theme? I understand that it does do allow auto translating which is fine, but does it allow the translating of all structural elements of a Blog, posts, pges, categories, slugs, media alt tags and other media info, and does it include a language switchet to allow the user to choose the language they require.

    Thannk you in advance

    • Hello,
Twenty Twenty Four Theme uses blocks and the Full Site Editing (FSE). The Blog package doesn’t allow you to translate menu (navigation) of FSE-themes so you won’t translate your theme with the Blog package.

  9. Hello,

Is WPML compatible with Latepoint plugin, the Latepoint official plugin chat does not seem to recommend your soft, thats the reason why Im asking.

Just want to translate a plugin (latepoint) in a multilanguage way, no need for a language changer, just each url has a specific language.

This is the url where the plugin is in English: https://reserves.alcudia-boat-rental.com/es2

    in German: https://reserves.alcudia-boat-rental.com/de2

    in Spanish: https://reserves.alcudia-boat-rental.com/es2

Can I translate Latepoint in 3 languages and tell WPML, in this url it uses the English language, in this url it uses the German language and in this one in Spanish?

Is that possible, if it is and you already had success with Latepoint multilanguage translations Ill buy your soft tomorrow

    • Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML but unfortunately we are not compatible with the Latepoint plugin. Plugins like this (for appointment scheduling) require a special cooperation with the plugin author to make them compatible with WPML. There is a slim chance that this plugin will work with WPML out of the box, sorry to say.
Normally, your URLs will get the language postfix similar to your examples but without these “2s” at the end. But I cannot recommend you WPML because we are not compatible with Latepoint.

    • Hello, sites that you register as “development” will have a small banner added to your site’s footer saying that this is a development site. A similar banner will be displayed on your WordPress admin too. We introduced this feature to allow our clients to use WPML on more than 3 websites if they also have staging/testing environments. If you are testing WPML on a copy of your site, feel free to register it as “development” instead of production. With the CMS package, you can register 3 production sites and in addition, 9 sites as development sites. 12 websites in total. You can register and unregister your sites as many times as you want but you cannot get over the limits we have: 3 production sites and 9 development sites at a given time.

  10. Hello,

We have been happily using the WPML translation plugin on our website for a few years. We now need to purchase our own license for WPML and I wondered if you offer any discounts for charities on your subscription packages.

    Best,
    Camille

    • Hello Elvin,

The domain name is not as relevant as the number of WordPress installations/databases.
Each site key is registered against a WordPress database.

There could be different language versions of the same site that are expressed as subdomains (e.g. fr.mysite.com or mysite.fr). In this case, there are different subdomains but they share the same wordpress installation/database. The site key is registered against “mysite” in this case and is considered one production site.

You mentioned 3 different domain names:
      https://iaas.org.sg/
      https://iaic.iaas.org.sg/
      https://nexus.iaas.org.sg/

If all 3 domains are pointing to the same WordPress install directory and database, then these are all considered under the same production site.
If each of these domains are pointing to a different WordPress install directory and database, then these will have different site keys for each.

I hope this answers your question.
