I’m sorry, but we don’t offer a package for a single site that includes automatic translation.
To answer your questions:
If you choose not to renew, you can continue using WPML. However, you won’t have access to plugin updates or our support forum.
Regarding your question about “switch” — are you referring to the language switcher? If so, yes, it will continue to work. Everything will function the same, as renewals are only required for receiving updates.
Please note that we can’t predict what might happen in the future if you update WordPress but do not update the WPML plugins.
So, if I intend to upgrade the plan I subscribed to a higher plan (e.g., from Multilingual Blog to Multilingual CMS), is it possible to do so easily and quickly without affecting anything on the website, especially the existing translations?

Our plugin is designed to give you the tools to create your translations that are stored in your own database. Our plugins also has the necessary filters/hooks to ensure that your visitor’s online experience is consistent in any of the target languages that you have activated and translated content into. With this perspective, our plugin works in your systems backend to render the translated pages on the frontend using data stored on your WordPress site.
Other translation plugins will screen-scrape rendered pages and translate the strings dynamically or with previously translated content stored on their databases (offline). I hope this explanation helps you understand the difference between our architecture (backend) vs. other architectures (more frontend).
2. We use the Booknetic plugin for the booking system. So is it working with Booknetic perfectly?
Booknetic is not listed as a tested compatible plugin. However, I see that they have documented support for our plugin within their own plugin documentation. As we have not tested the plugin ourselves, we cannot guarantee 100% compatibility and if you should encounter troubles, we would be directing you to their own support for any compatibility issues. Having said this, I also do not see that we have any reported issues with regards to this plugin either.

It sounds like you are saying that you need to store a translated post type (e.g. backend) for each booking. As I mentioned in point 1 above, we do indeed create translated post types, taxonomies and plugin/theme options and dynamic strings and store them as separate database entries. This allows for each translation custom post type to have their own meta-data (e.g. custom fields) which is often required for more complex systems like e-commerce and booking plugins.
However, since I do not know your plugin nor do we have any record of it in our system, I cannot assure you 100% that you will get what you need. My best advice is to purchase the product knowing that you have a 30-day window to request a refund for any reason.

You should use the 30 days to fully test a dummy data set that reflects your own real data so that you can be assured that there is the needed compatibility.

I am assuming that GSC is Google Search Console (?). I’m sorry that I am not a G-Translate specialist nor an SEO expert so I could not tell you what possible issues you might encounter. I CAN give you information on what SEO looks like WPML.

Your question is more appropriate for an SEO expert (which I am not). However, in general, if you are using the same urls that you were using in the past …your rankings should not change.
I strongly recommend conducting thorough testing in a staging environment before making the switch. Ensure that permalinks remain consistent, or if there are any changes, set up 301 redirects to preserve your site’s SEO integrity during the transition. This will help minimize any negative impact.

If you already have translated content, then you would want to explore exporting your translations from gTranslate and the various options to import the content into you new WordPress/WPML installation. Yes, it’s pretty clear that you are most concerned about SEO rankings and migration process. I’m sorry but we don’t have a clear and documented path with regards to G-Translate migration of existing translated content. But if you are able to export your translations, then the problem reduces to how an import process. Finally, with regards to SEO, I would consult one of the SEO plugins you are using to get their advice on setting up appropriate redirects to not lose rankings.

Using the “fallback” mode have permlink bases that are aligned with the active language (e.g. hreflang). This is one way to JUST get the permalinks targeted and not have to translate any content. It’s just a suggestion and you would need to do thorough testing to make sure all aspects of your user experience and outputs are met.

I think the answer to your first question is also relevant here. However, for completeness – our architecture relies on your creating a separate/duplicate post type for each active language. This is particularly important for post-meta data. In your use case, however, it seems like you might be able to employ our “fallback mode”.

This means that if you have various versions of English that you wish to generate hreflangs for, you will need to define the different language codes for them. For example, WordPress already recognises the following codes.

WPML comes with en_US pre-configured. For the others, you would need to add custom languages as described in the link I included above.

Yes. However, it is not advisable to do so but rather to define a new language (which is actually a new table entry) where you can freely define the field values as you wish.

Approving translations there
Manually syncing jobs back in WPML

There might be issues with your particular implementation of the default worpdress theme features, but we are committed to fixing these issues if they occur.

The WPML CMS subscription allows for 3 production site keys and 9 development site keys. This means a total of 12 wordpress installations/databases. The difference between a production and development website is a banner that appears on the frontend.

No. The “site key” is referring to a WordPress installation/database/instance. It might be more clear to think of site domain names. If you have http://www.mysite.com that has 12 languages active, then this is one site.

As I mentioned in point 1 above, we do indeed create translated post types, taxonomies and plugin/theme options and dynamic strings and store them as separate database entries. This allows for each translation custom post type to have their own meta-data (e.g. custom fields) which is often required for more complex systems like e-commerce and booking plugins.
However, since I do not know your plugin nor do we have any record of it in our system, I cannot assure you 100% that you will get what you need. My best advice is to purchase the product knowing that you have a 30-day window to request a refund for any reason.

I wanted to do the manual translation but I do have a pre sale question. My website has almost 400 posts which need to be translated manually. By looking at the youtube videos I came to know that the manual translation is done via editor and the translation need to be converted by paragraph to paragraph so Its very hectic to do the translation when you have so much posts.

Yes, it’s pretty clear that you are most concerned about SEO rankings and migration process. I’m sorry but we don’t have a clear and documented path with regards to G-Translate migration of existing translated content. But if you are able to export your translations, then the problem reduces to how an import process. Finally, with regards to SEO, I would consult one of the SEO plugins you are using to get their advice on setting up appropriate redirects to not lose rankings.

The relationship between “country” and “sub-folder” is really the relationship between “locale code” (country) and the “language code” (sub-folder) as visible in the languages table you can edit when defining a cusotm language. WPML has preconfigured 65 languages: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/
These are the more popular languages and while it is possible to edit the database table that holds the locale and code mappings for these, it is not advisable to do so. Instead, it would be better to define a new custom language to “replace” the one we provide. More details are provided in the article.
Now, to answer your questions directly:
They are automatically generated through rewrite rules into the permalink according to the mapping held in the languages table. This is a database table that is pre-configured with 65 languages. When you “activate” a language on your site, you will be able to see the details but not edit the locale or language code. You can always add your own languages to the same table.
To see the pre-configured list, you can activate all the available langauges and then go to the languages table to see the values. Or, if you are comfortable with PHPmyAdmin or similar, you can view the contents of the table icl_langauges.
Yes. However, it is not advisable to do so but rather to define a new language (which is actually a new table entry) where you can freely define the field values as you wish.

I’m using WPML with Crowdin to translate our site, including navigation menus. The workflow is working technically, but it requires multiple manual steps:
Sending strings to Crowdin
Approving translations there
Manually syncing jobs back in WPML
Running WP Menus Sync so translations appear

Yes, normally WPML is compatible with the default WordPress themes. They are tested with basic scripts alongside of general WordPress compatibility with each new release. There might be issues with your particular implementation of the default worpdress theme features, but we are committed to fixing these issues if they occur.
The WPML CMS subscription allows for 3 production site keys and 9 development site keys. This means a total of 12 wordpress installations/databases. When you install our plugin, you will be prompted to enter a site key for the new installation. Each site will have a different site key generated. The difference between a production and development website is a banner that appears on the frontend.

No. The “site key” is referring to a WordPress installation/database/instance. It might be more clear to think of site domain names. If you have http://www.mysite.com that has 12 languages active, then this is one site.
