  2. Hi there,

my web designer has kindly installed WPML Multilingual CMS 3.1.5 on my new website (and made me pay him extra for the plugin too). Now I am experiencing some problems with WPML plugin to which my web designer has no answers, and hence would very much like to have them resolved with the help of your tech support. To be able to ask a question on your support forum, I need my web designer’s account data (since he is the license owner) to log in there in the first place – and this is what he refuses to give me.

I am using your wonderful plugin, need some help, but can’t get it because I can’t log in into your forum. What do I do?

    Many thanks!

    • Dear Valery,
I’m sorry to hear that you have some issues with your designer. We cannot grant you access to WPML account which was bought under somebody’s else name. It’s good to have permanent access to WPML account since without it you will not able to upgrade it to new version either. If your relation with the designer is not best, you can ask for help for one of our WPML consultants. They are able to use their licenses for all the sites, so it will be not a problem.

      • Dear Agnes,

I asked my web designer for a refund of the amount I had paid him for the WPML plugin and decided to go use that money to purchase my own license directly from you.

I am, however, not all too sure what kind of WPML plugin I’d rather buy… Please be so very very kind, have a look at my website and tell me please which plugin is more suitable for me.

        Loads of thanks in advance!

        Valery

        • Dear Valery,
please go to your WordPress dashboard and Plugins section. Please check if your site uses only one WPML plugin or more (for example String translation, Translation management, Media management etc.). If there are more WPML plugins installed, you should purchase Multilingual CMS or Multilingual CMS Lifetime. Most sites use Multilingual CMS or Multilingual CMS Lifetime, Blog license works well only for really simple blog sites.

          • Dear Agnes,

            thanks again for your reply!

My Dashboard > Plugins says I am using only one WPML plugin, namely “WPML Multilingual CMS” (version 3.1.5). I guess this is what I should go purchase from you to have my own license. Right?

            Many thanks!

            Valery

PS: I am very new to WordPress and am not exactly knowledgeable in back-end things… If I already have a version of WPML Multilingual CMS from my web designer installed on my website and will now purchase my own, will I possibly have any problems installing the purchased version upon the one which is currently in place? Also, can something go wrong or, say, can this somehow influence the behaviour of my site (knocking on wood)?

            • Dear Valery,
so you should purchase WPML Multilingual CMS lincese (or the one for lifetime).

Please fell free to contact our support team for all the details how to upgrade your plugin to the latest version. Explain that you are new. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

  3. In order for me to buy this product, first I need from you a VAT ID to check with accounting if we are allowed to make such purchase. Thank you in advance.

  4. Why the subscription? If we purchase it for a year and then don’t renew, does the plugin stop working or do we just not get updates? We’d be doing all of the translating on our own if that matters.

    • Hi Jesse,
if you don’t renew your subscription your plugin will not stop working. You will only lose your access to support forum and future updates.

  5. Hello,

as part of and high-end course in marketing we want to provide our customers with a full translation of the Optimize Press theme in Italian.

    Now the questions are two:

    1) How can we proceed? If we buy the plugin will the customers be able to install the translation made via WPML on their version of Optimize?

    2) How much would would it cost to have the translation done by you? And how long would it take to make it?

    Regards

  6. Hi Agnes,
    one pre-sale question:
If I buy Multilingual CMS with 1 year support and before the end of the year instead of renewal, decide to buy Lifetime, what I will have to pay?

    Thanks in advance.

  7. Hello, I bought WPML, but I do not receive the activation link. Could you please check whats going on? I need the plugin as fast as possible.

    Thank you

  8. Dear all,

I’m running my blog in English and Portuguese, using Stella plugin.
If I swicth to WPML can all the translated content be imported?

Regarding the Media, using WPML, a picture from an english post will show automatic on the translated post or should I insert it manualy?

    mn tks!

    • Sorry, but we don’t know how Stella plugin saves its translations. We don’t have an import tool from it to WPML, so there’s a good chance that you’ll need to migrate the translations manually.

About media, you can choose what to do with images. You can display the same images in translations or have different images per language. There is no need to upload the images several times, one for each language. WPML can synchronize the ‘attachment’ items in the database, so that image galleries display in all languages.

        • The full version gives you everything, so you can translate all post types, all texts and manage translations easily. The ‘basic’ version lets you translate posts and pages. You can get the Blog version now and see. If you need to update (very likely), you can pay just the difference and get the full Multilingual CMS package.

  9. No problem at all. Your site can load any font needed. You specify the font in the CSS file and it’s pretty easy to load the right font for the right language. You can achieve this using a single CSS file if you prefix the CSS rules with the language name.

After you buy WPML, create a support ticket about this in our technical forum and our developers will guide you through this. You can refer them to the answer here for guidelines.

    • Hi I don’t know which category for support ticket – could you assist me with this transaction right now? I need this asap – I cannot wait please

      Thank you

      • You ask about the possibility to upgrade, right? As I explained it in my reply to your previous comment please feel free to do so from your WPML account.

  10. Hello,
I would like to create a template to sell on online marketplaces. May I inlclude WPML plugin into the purchase pack and what type of lisence should I choose?

I am looking forward to your reply.

    sincerely,

    Henry

    • You should not include WPML with themes, but we have good news for you.

Instead of including WPML, you are invited to include a small ‘auto-installer’ component with your theme. This component will allow your theme clients to buy and auto-install WPML. Integrating it with your theme gives you several important benefits:

      1. Your clients get absolute confidence that your theme is compatible with WPML.
      2. Buying and installing WPML is very simple (no need to use FTP or any manual steps).
      3. You receive affiliate commission for every such sale.
      4. We can also discuss a special discount on WPML for people who buy from your theme.

You can buy either the Multilingual CMS ($79) or Lifetime ($195) accounts. In both cases, you receive all WPML components. The difference is in the renewal.

But wait. If you are developing themes and you distribute these themes (not only custom client work), you don’t need to buy WPML. We will be happy to give you a complementary account:
      http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/

      Does this help?

      • Absolutely,
        thank you so much!
yes, I am a web develper and distributor, and I still have a few questions;)

        1)where can I get this ‘auto-installer’?
        2) how can we agree on getting commission for sale?
3 and how can we talk over the special discount on WPML for our cstomers?

        best

        Henry

  11. We would like to buy the US$195 package. Is it possible to get an invoice so that we can make the payment via our bank account?
    Thanks
    Jana

    • We don’t collect wire transfers manually (not set up for that). If you want to pay using a wire transfer, you can use PayPal. PayPal lets you add a bank account and pay with what they call ‘e-check’. This way, payment comes from your bank account and not from a credit card. Like other wire transfers, e-checks take several days to process.

You will receive your tax invoice from our system once the payment completes.

      Does this help?

  12. i have bought the software but your delivery support is not response
    No invoice No delivery
what should i do i have project to run >>>>>>>>>> limited time

  13. Hi there, I have been transalting this site into Chinese manually so far with WordPress:

    http://www.aotoau.com/

The theme is WPML ready and I was wondering if by using WPML would that transalte the entire remainder of the site that needs translating? Things like the dates and the submit button is the most important.

Will I be able to leave some parts in english?

    Thank you in advance,

    Luke

    • When I browse your site, I see a mix of English and Chinese. WPML lets you translate the same posts and pages into different languages. Ideally, you should see only English content when you browser in English and only Chinese content when you browse in Chinese.

Date formats and buttons should be translatable via WPML’s String Translation. When a theme-author indicates that the theme is compatible with WPML, it should make such texts translatable.

You can keep parts of the site in English. Normally, English texts will only show in English. You can tell WPML to display English blog posts, if they are not translated.

      Does this help?

  14. Hi,

I bought the WPML CMS plugin (version 2.9) in July 2013, but I’ve never used it on any website yet. Can I still use it on a new website? Will it work in WordPress 4.0? Also, would I be able to upgrade WPML?

    Best,
    Mat

    • Older versions will work on the WordPress versions they were tested against. For WordPress 4.0 you need current WPML versions. Your best option (I think) is to upgrade your account to Lifetime. This will cost you $116 and you get upgrades and support for WPML forever (as long as the planet exists and is inhabited by PHP developers). You can see this option when you login to your WPML account.

      • Hi Amir,

Sorry, I didn’t see your reply because I was writing my follow-up question, which you can see below. Could you please confirm that I’ll still have access to the WPML CMS plugin I bought last year and also be able to download the latest version if I upgrade to Lifetime account?

        Thanks!
        Mat

  15. Second question:

Since I still haven’t used the WPML CMS plugin I bought on July 2013 (subscription has expired), if I upgrade my WPML account to “Lifetime account”, will I be able to access it again after logging into my upgraded account? Moreover, would I be able to download the latest version of the plugin (3.1.7), which I could then use on a new website using WordPress 4.0?

Please kindly advise what’s the best solution in my situation because I do not want to waste the last plugin I bought (which I still haven’t used on any website).

    Best,
    Mat

  16. Hi there,

I was wondering what is your license policy? Could you please send me a quick link for this? How many blogs/sites could I install this plugin with one single account?

    Thank you.
    Veronica

    • Our purchase page includes the pricing for WPML:
      http://wpml.org/purchase/

The basic Blog version costs $29 and is normally used for simpler site. The full CMS package costs $79. Both come with a year of upgrades and support and can be extended for 50% for every additional year. Alternatively, you can buy a Lifetime account, which gives you upgrades and support for life. It costs $195.

  17. I want to use WPML for a kind of strange use… so i would want to have 2 versions of my website both indentical and in English language but using the Multi currency support for Woocommerce to display different prices in different currencies depending where the user is accessing the site… can you tell me if this would work?

    • Hi Laura,
thanks for your question. What do you mean by ‘depending where the user is accessing the site’. Please define ‘where’.

  18. If I buy US$79 Most Popular package, after a month, I want to upgrade to US$195 (best deal) package, how can i do? thanks
    Anyone can reply? Thx!

  19. If I buy US$79 Most Popular package, after a month, I want to upgrade to US$195 (best deal) package, how can i do? thanks
    Anyone can reply? Thx!

    Dear Support,
For about issue, because we want to try and testing it’s suitable for us or not, then consider to buy the lifetime package. Looking for your reply by email. thank you!

  20. Dear Support,
Is there any possibility to upgrade WPML license?
Let’s say at firs I buy the Multilingual Blog version, the in the future I’d like to upgrade to Multilingual CMS, is that possible?

If so do i have only to pay the price difference between those license?

    Thank You
    Best Regards

    • Hi Yana,
‘Yes’ to both of your questions:
      1. you can always upgrade from Blog to CMS and as well to Lifetime. You will find appropriate links to do so in your WPML account.
      2. Yes, you will pat the difference only.

  21. Hi!

Was wondering what are the opportunities you offer for theme authors. We develop wp themes for sale, and we would like to know what sort of an affiliate program we can join, so that we could refer customers to purchase wpml plugin. Would appreciate if you could let us know of the possible conditions of an affiliate program, and perhaps any other offers you have for theme authors.

    Thanks in advance!

      • Thanks for your reply! This is what we were looking for, but also in the previous comments here we have seen you guys mention to another theme author that there is a way to add some sort of a auto installer to the theme, that will work as a referral redirect too. Also you mentioned there is a way for clients that are referred get discounts. We would really appreciate more clarification and details on that, as we are interested in cooperation.

        Thank you!

        • Dear Valerie, thanks for providing me with more details.
OK. You probably have this in mind:
          http://wpml.org/faq/can-bundle-wpml-themes/

Yes, we are interested in this cooperation.
          – This development is complete and working.
          – Right now, it’s integrated into WPML.
          – Our compatibility team can help you to integrate this into your themes.

If you are interested, please let me know. I will contact you directly with more details.

          • Hi again Agnes, thanks for your response! Yes, we are interested, please feel free to contact me via email. We have one item in compatibility list, and are about to submit more now. We would be glad if you could guide us through adding the auto installer.

            Thank you!

            • Hi Valerie, Amit Kvint, our theme compatibility lead developer will contact you directly in a day or two. Thanks for your patience.
