    • Hello Mohamad,
thank you for your interest in WPML. This theme hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team. You should be able to translate the basic stuff such as regular pages, blog posts, categories, menu but you might have issues with all other elements provided by the theme, which are specific to this theme only. The theme page doesn’t mention RTL readiness so I’m not sure how this theme will handle content in Arabic. WPML supports RTL but it’s better to choose a theme that is already RTL ready rather than creating custom CSS for Right to Left languages on your own.

You can give it a try and use our refund policy if needed
      https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

or choose a different theme, from our Multilingual-ready theme list:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/

      which is RTL ready.

  1. Hi,
I want to buy “Multilingual Agency” but i have a doubt, does wpml support “Mandarin Chinese language” ?
    Please response me ASAP.
I am looking to integrate it on my WordPress website having Woo-Commerce installed.

    Regards,
    Arunendra

    • Hello,
WPML supports all the languages. If a given language is not on our pre-configured languages list, it can be added manually which is explained in this tutorial: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/

Please note that WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically. It can help with machine translations as well but even these translations need to be approved manually for the posts/pages that you create. Naturally, translations entered by a human work best.

Yes, WPML is compatible with WooCommerce. You would need to buy the Multilingual CMS version to use WPML with WooCommerce.

  2. I have a portfolio wordpress site that I wish to be multilingual, I’m not sure which version to purchase between the Multilingual Blog and the Multilingual CMS. Will the cheaper version be enough to translate all the pages and text fields on my portfolio site?

    • Hello Alice,
I’m afraid the Multilingual Blog a won’t suffice in this case but you can but the Multilingual Blog and upgrade to the Multilingual CMS version later for the difference in the purchase price. Please let me know what theme you use.

    • According to our records, you don’t have any subscription. Are you sure your payment process has ended successfully? Someone from our team should contact you soon to sort it out.

  3. Hello, I have a pre-sales question and I would like to open a ticket. BUT I cannot find where I can create a user account to actually login and create this ticket. Thanks for your help.
    Brigitte

  4. How the viewer of the site see it?
I would like to have an option to peaple who visit the site to change, with 1 buttom , the languest. Do you havs it?

    • Hello,
      1. No
      2. No
With WPML you create new WordPress posts and pages within the same site (just in other languages). All your multilingual pages will use the same theme and your Google Analytics and Search Control scripts will apply to those new pages automatically as well.

  5. Hello,
I am interested in buying Multi-lingual CMS edition.
But reading pre-requisites, I have following question as I have previously tried PolyLang and it didn’t work.

    – Our Permalink config is /blog/%postname%/ , will it work with WPML ?

Regarding other pre-requisites, it looks ok, my config is :
    – WordPress 5.0.2
    – PHP 7.1.23
    – MySQL 5.6
    – Multibyte String extension installed
    – SimpleXML extension installed
    – The eval() PHP function enabled.

    Thank you

  6. Hi, with the $79 purchase is that a one-time purchase or do I need to renew this yearly? I see in your pricing page the account renewal to be $59 but it looks to me this is so we can continue to use your support team.

I hope to hear from you soon with a clarification. Thanks!

    • Hello Roland,
If you do not renew you can keep using the files you have installed on your site but you will lose access to updates and support.

      Kind regards,

      • Hello Mercedes,
I dont understand your answer. If i have downloaded plugin and i will buy licese for unlimited amount of websites, do i need renew it after year, or i need to do it only because of support. Am i able after that still use my plugin (downloaded in past, later maybe old version) and register new websites due to first paid fee? Or how is it? Thank you

        • Hello Thomas,
renewals are needed both for the updates (to get new versions) and the support. If you don’t renew your WPML subscription, you can still use the WPML plugins – the ones you’ve downloaded or/and installed but if we release a new version, you won’t be able to get it.

  7. Can I use ‘Multilingual Blog’ for subdomains? Does the plugin translates content (posts) automatically ? My main website is in English but I would like to have Spanish, French and Portuguese on separate domains as their own entity. I have over 500 posts so I do not have the time to stay and translate each of them.

  8. Hello,

After the new update on WP my website crashed due to two problems, the theme was outdated and the WPML plugin was outdated. I need to update my WPML and can’t do that from the WP plugin probably because it is an older version !/?

Would i be able to pay for an update on the plugin that I have installed?

If not- would I need to buy a new version of the WPML plugin?

If so- would the support from buying a new plugin be helping with importing the plugin to my page?

Would I be ok with the $29?

Thank you, and have a super day!
    Roger

    • hello Roger,
To renew the existing account you will need to log in. Do you have access to it? If not, you are welcome to buy a new account and register the site through it. Nothing of what you have done will be lost. The subscription you need depends on what parts of your site you want to translate. More info here https://wpml.org/purchase/

  9. Hello!
I have a production site with licensed WPML and a test site with non-licensed WPML. Can I temporary register test site for WPML plugin update and after this register production site again?

  10. Hi,

We’ve been using WPML on our site for some time, but recently it stopped working, stating ‘Your WPML subscription details are required. More info’.

It appears our website developer was using their own WPML account – their details are in the required fields. Has their account expired (username ‘markerle’? Or might it be that we need to update our plugin version? I am struggling to find how to do this.

We are interested in purchasing an account, but want to be sure this is the problem before we do.

    Thanks

    Adam

    • Hello Adam,
Yes the account is expired. You are welcome to buy a new one to register your site. Nothing of what you have done will be lost when you do this.
Let me know of any further question.

      Kind regards,

  11. Do all posts have to have a translation at the same time? My posts are seasonal, with the two languages representing opposite seasons, so I might have a post in one language in January, and translate it to the other language only in June. Is that possible, or will readers get a “page not found” error? Also, I have two domains, but would like to have only one bilingual site. Can this be done with the cheapest product (blog)?
    Thanks!

    • Hello Naomi,
Thanks for your interest. Yes you can choose what to translate and what not. The Blog version lets you translate posts and pages and should be enough for your site. In any case you can start with the Blog version and if needed, upgrade to CMS by paying the difference only.

Let me know please of any further question.

      Kind regards,

  12. Hi, we are a partner but I am getting no response to my usual contacts, Ornela, Sarah Neuber or any other email address. Please can some contact me as a matter of urgency regarding our support login.

  13. Please help me understand your solution better. Is it the case that you install the plugin, select the languages you want to translate into and the plugin creates new pages in the translated languages that you then manage individually?

Once the pages are translated I assume you want to keep your edits to the source to a minimum otherwise you need to go back and tweak all the translated pages, correct?

What is the experience of website visitor? Does the site detect their language and display it automatically or must they select the language from a drop down or flag or something else?

I look forward to your reply.

    • Hi,
      See my answers below
Is it the case that you install the plugin, select the languages you want to translate into and the plugin creates new pages in the translated languages that you then manage individually?
Yes, you can choose how to add the translated content: automatically, through a professional translation service or a local translator https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/

Once the pages are translated I assume you want to keep your edits to the source to a minimum otherwise you need to go back and tweak all the translated pages, correct?
This is up to you/the site owner. When updating a source page/post etc you can choose what happens with the translation

What is the experience of website visitor? Does the site detect their language and display it automatically or must they select the language from a drop down or flag or something else?
The closest we have is browser based language redirect
      https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/

      Hope this helps!

      • What is the best strategy for ranking in the native language’s country? TLD hosting, sub-domain, or directory structures by language? And how would I manage the TLD model with your software and would I need a separate WP instance for each TLD?

Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate it…

        • Hello,
Most of our customers use the directory structure. Please check our showcase: https://wpml.org/showcase/
What matters most for the SEO are good quality translations prepared by humans, well-structured content, valuable and easy to understand content.

  14. Hello, i have paid today a new Multilingual Agency Licence, but you system is not see my account correct and i can’t work.
Where i can send my issue, i need a contact mail

    Regards Thomas

    • Hello,
you are right. There is something wrong. In our system it says: This user has no subscriptions for this status. Are you sure that your order has been completed successfully and you’ve been charged? We need to sort this out. I will ask the person who manages user accounts to check your order history and get back to you. You can also send us your order number using this contact form.

      https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/

  15. We would like to use your plug-in for Spanish Translation of our website. We want to check something first:
Can we choose which pages/posts are translated? Or does it have to be the whole website?

Can we edit those pages/posts after they are translated?

    THANKS!

    • Hello Lisa,
      >Can we choose which pages/posts are translated?
      Yes, you can.

      >or does it have to be the whole website?
it doesn’t have to be the whole website

      >Can we edit those pages/posts after they are translated
Yes, you can. Actually, you enter your translations (we also provide machine translations in the new advanced translation editor but these need to be approved manually as well).

  16. Hello I want to use WPML so I can have the english version of my eshop to a .COM domain and my greek version to a .GR domain.

Is Multilingual Blog cover my needs? I saw the comparison but I didnt undestand what Multilingual E-Commerce Support is.

    • Hello John,
If you need a setup where you have different domains per language, this article explains how to handle it:
      https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
The Multilingual Blog package will suffice in this case but as you will see, some setup on your server will be required.

Multilingual E-Commerce Support applies to WooCommerce-based websites. If you need to run a multilingual store and you would like to sell/offer your WooCommerce products in more than one language, you will need to the Multilingual CMS subscription.

  18. Hi there,

I’m currently planning to use your WPML plugin.
I only have one website and i would like to manually translate all of the wordpress pages, posts, portfolio category, etc.
If i purchased the “Multilingual Blog” is it enough to allow me to do that?

Thank you in advance for your replay.

    • Hello Marc,
you can start with the Multilingual Blog and upgrade to the CMS version for the difference in purchase price later if needed (you will find a link t do in your WPML account).

It’s difficult for me to give you a yes/no answer. You can translate posts and pages and categories using the Multilingual Blog package for sure but depending on how your theme is built you might need to translate some additional strings using the WPML String Translation module which is available only in the CMS version.
