  1. Hello,

My client who’s looking to use your services will be using the plugin for years to come and prefers to not have to go through the renewal process every year as employees change, credit cards expire, etc.

Before purchasing the plugin with a credit card, I was wondering if you had other payment options like a wire transfer.

    • Hello Zach,
Thanks for writing here. I am afraid we do not accept wire transfers. You can pay with a debit/credit card or PayPal.

      Hope this helps!

  2. Hello,

I have the agency license due to renewal next month. I need to downgrade it. Can you let me know the process?

  3. Hello!

I have a question regarding a multisite on wordpress (ecommerce).
Is it required to build a completely new site and use WPML to apply translation. Or is it possible to set up a subdomain and redirect it to a translated page (with the en.mysite.com) still visible in the link.

    Thank you

    • Hello,
you can add WPML to your existing site. Each new language will be added in a subdirectory or a subdomain.

  4. OK let me waste another hour trying to figure out how bad your business can be

It is impossible to buy anything from you with the company’s visa, stupid paypal forces me to use me personnal paypal account because of stupid’s decision not to allow guest checkout from paypal, I need to pay with company visa, with invoice, as we do in business.
alternative method want’s me to input my company card on some crazy website (yours) wich for sure I never will as you practices are insane and untrustable at any level of common sense.
no way to create an account, no way to get support, no one to reply, waste your time, we are insane.
nobody even cared to proceed my previous contact

    crazy folks

    • Hello,
I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with purchasing WPML. Can we use your email to get in touch with you to discuss the details?
You can also use this contact form:
      https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/

if you prefer to contact us first.

“nobody even cared to proceed my previous contact” – how did you contact us? Maybe your comment got lost.

    • Hello, this page uses the Astra theme, is that correct? If so, we are compatible with it but to translate all elements of your site you will need the Multilingua CMS package.

  5. hi can you please help me cancel my subscription? I dont want it. I thought I had already cancelled it and it renewed.

  6. i install on my site the plugin: WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping
to change the shipping price based the total weight.

There is a way with WPML to change the shipping currency and prices by weight when i change a language?

    thanks

    • Hello,
the WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping plugin is not included in our current list of compatible plugins and after looking at our support forum customers report issues with this plugin (please this one for example). What you are planning to achieve won’t work.

  7. If I buy “Multilingual Blog” and would like to upgarde to “Multilingual CMS”. How much for that?
If it $79 for full price?

    • Hello Mart,
you’ll be charged only the difference between the two in this case, our system will calculate it adequately. You will find a link to upgrade in your WPML account.

  10. Hello,
We have a ciient interested in your plugin and when we bought your plugin for another client years ago, we remember there was a lifetime option. Is it still available now? We can’t find it.
    Thanks in advance.

  11. Hello,

I am considering to use the WPML Plugin to create an E-Commerce Store with the Flatsome theme. I have two question:

1.) Is the Flatsome theme supported by WPML? I cannot find this theme in your list of supported themes and there seem to have been issues with this theme in the past: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/is-flatsome-theme-compatible-with-wpml/
    Have these issues been resolved?

2.) Is Vietnamese a supported language of WPML?

    Thank you for your time!

  12. Hello,

Last year I upgraded my account to lifetime. I’m using the Divi Theme for my WordPress site. However, a few months ago I had to deactivate WPML Plugin because it was creating a lot of trouble. My site wouldn’t download. I just saw a blank screen. And by deactivating this plugin, the issue resolved. I really want to make this work, because I do have people from other countries visiting my site and now I only have the Spanish version, but I need the English language as well.

Please let me know what I can do.

    Thanks,
    Denisse

  13. Hello,

we have multiple webshops on domain names like:

    shopname.de
    shopname.sk
    shopname.cz

    etc..

We would like to create a blogs for each webshop using WPML, but we want it to be located in a subfolder of each domain, like:

    shopname.de/blog
    shopname.sk/blog
    shopname.cz /blog

The sites are hosted on a same server and within the same public folder at the moment already, so if I make a single wordpress installation in /blog subfolder, I can already access it from all three domains.

Is it possible to use WPML and a single wordpress installation for scenarios like that?
Will WPML make sure that the translated content is only available exclusively on this language’s domain, and NOT on others (SEO)?
Will sitemaps etc be correctly generated, including only content for each domain separately?

    Thank you!
    Best

    • Hello,
Thanks for your interest in WPML. If you want to have one WordPress site with WPML installed but with the different domain per language option, it’s possible but some setup is required in your web server, as explained in this article: https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/

Yes, sitemaps should be correctly be generated as well but you need to make sure that the SEO plugin you used is compatible with WPML https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/

      • Hello,

        thank you for your reply

I just want to doublecheck, can this also work with subfolders? Meaning that the wordpress installation would run in a /blog subfolder on each domain, and not directly on each domain (we have a webshop installed there on other platform, not WP)?

Since we host everything on the same symphony multi-app backed we can create aliases and make sure the same WP installation is accessible from every domain /blog subfolder. Just want to doublecheck with you before I buy that WPML is able to handle this correctly with a subfolder configuration, not directly on domains.

        thank you
        Best regards

  14. Hello,

We have around 3000 products to automatically translate. We are not using a multi site platform. Each of our websites are country exclusive and we need a quick automated translation for our content, that we will tweak afterwards.

Each of our 3000 products have around 500 words to translate. Can your plugin do this?

    • Hello Gary,
when you enable the ATE editor in WPML, it provides machine translations. But how it works right now, you need to go to each of your product individually and approve the machine translation for each of them manually. It’s too much work when you have many products. Our developers are working on the bulk translation feature and it is planned for the next big release. I’ll check the status with our developers and get back to you.

  15. Hi
i am wondering if the plugin translates the theme text and buttons which automatically added in the theme such like search button, category and so on

    • Hello Anna,
theme-dependent elements will be translated if your theme is compatible with WPML, which means you can find it on this list). It also helps if your theme provides the so-called po/mo files for your languages.

  16. Installed your plugin. I am using WordPress default comment template in my website. The problem is the comment form is translated to the default language. I can’t change the comment form in to English. Please help me.

  17. Buonasera,
prima di acquistare il plugin WPML CMS, vorrei sapere se:
    1)E’ compatibile col tema associato a questo URL http://www.terraesalute.com e se una volta installato avrò tutto il contenuto tradotto in lingua, in automatico comprensivo di contenuti del woocommerce;
2)Se posso avere un preventivo per avere tutto il sito chiavi in mano (con contenuti in lingua revisionati).
    Grazie

  18. Hello,
First, please forgive my poor English. I’m doing my best 🙂
I have a very small non-profit organization in Belgium and I would like to know if you have a special formula for non-profit organizations, like many other companies does. That would help us very much because we can’t afford 59$/year…
    Thank you for your understanding.
    Best regards,
    A.

    • Hello Airelle,
I am afraid we have stopped supporting non-profits for now. We continue to support the existing ones in our system but we cannot take new ones. You are welcome to buy WPML and try it for 30 days. If it does not suit your needs we will refund you https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

      Hope this helps!

      • Disappointing that you WERE supporting non-profit organizations but no more… It’s not easier for them to make their important social work than before and I deeply regret that you changed your mind… It shows what matters for you, unfortunately, and I can’t agree with that of course… 🙁

        • Sorry for this. We cannot keep accepting new requests but we do continue to support the existing ones in our system, which are a lot.
Anyway good luck with your project!

  19. Hi

Automatic (machine) translation is limited to 2000 words, what happens after 2000 words, do we have to manually translate the rest ourselves?

      • Hi Agnes,

Thank you for providing the link to the doc, only I have not found any information about the option to translate the advanced template settings.

Before I can buy the plugin I must have confirmation that this is possible.

          • Can you let me know as soon as possible because I cannot proceed with my project proposal to my client as long as WPML does not supply this information to me. Thanks

            • Hello Jan,
I apologize for the delay. I’ve been waiting for our Compatibility Team to have it checked. Here’s what I’ve learned so far: we are working closely with The Event Calendar plugin’s author to have it 100% compatible but the work is in progress and since we don’t have any records in our internal ticket system for advanced template settings specifically, you can consider those not ready. I’ve asked the developer in charge to test it but still waiting for the results. I’ll double-check again today. You can do the following: buy WPML, test it yourself and in case it’s not working as you’d expect, you can use our refund policy.

              • Thank you for your reply on this.
I think it is not practical to buy the plugin before having any technical feedback on this.
WPML has the expertise and they should make the effort to inform customers so they can proceed to purchase the plugin without compatibility issues.

                • Yes, you are right. I’ve already talked to the developer and he will check it for you. I’ll update you shortly. He is on it now.

                • Jan, here’s the summary from the developer:

“These fields aren’t configured as translatable by default, but you can set them as translatable following this procedure:

                  – Go to WPML -> String translation
                  – Click on “Translate texts in admin screens” at the bottom of the page
                  – Look for “tribe_events_calendar_options” and expand it
                  – You will find checkboxes for “tribeEventsBeforeHTML” and “tribeEventsAfterHTML” -> check them

You should now find the values to translate in WPML -> String Translation

                  https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/#admin_texts

                  I hope it helps.

  20. Hi – looking to set up a translated site from English> Polish – The English version exists, how accurate is your Polish translation ? is there a scale ie you can say 99% accurate ? or less ?

        • We are compatible with the Bridge theme. What is the exact name of your child theme? Can you share the link to its homepage? Anyway, if WPML is compatible with the parent theme I wouldn’t expect any big issues with the child theme unless it changes the parent theme functionality significantly.

To be 100% correct, I’ll get back to your estimates about the pricing after consulting it with the developer behind the algorithm to calculate machine translations. Please await my feedback soon.

  21. Thank you for the reply, one more thing, right now my website has around 5000 words to be translated. That means 5000×5 Languages = 25000 words in total. ??? is that how it will be calculated?

if i was to purchase Multilingual CMS, i will have a quota of 2000 words auto translated, the rest i would have to purchase Business: $9.99 – 20000 words ($0.5 / 1000 words) + 2 of the Personal: $0.99 – 1500 words ($0.667 / 1000 words). ???? is that correct?

    • Yes, that is correct. Doubled checked with the developer behind that functionality. Currently, we also offer a custom number of words package, so you can buy whatever amount you need in a single purchase.
