Hello,
Our sites are not on WordPress.org but on dedicated hosting services.
It is not clear to me the payment of automatic words.
Does it cost a month? or one-off?
I got it right, do we have to pay a monthly fee for the amount of words automatically translated by google and Bing?
are monthly. You pay only for the words you used. Once you use machine translations, they are saved in your site and you don’t need to use them again. We are integrated with Microsoft’s’ Azure and Google. Please see the list of languages here: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
Hello
I don’t think I understand.
The pricing table says monthly.
Instead, if I understand correctly, are you saying that the payment is one-time?
That is, if I buy 50,000 words, I use these words and they are registered on my site. I no longer have to pay the monthly fee. Quite right?
Obviously, if I add other texts to be translated, I would have to purchase the package again.
Correct?
Maybe then you have to fix the communication of this thing is not clear. I noticed that it’s not just for me, other users perceive it the same way too.
Thank you
I’m trying to submit a support request and am sent in circles :
– ask support question
– report a new issue
– i need help with my account
– contact page
– technical support
– BACK TO THE TOP and around and around again
Why can’t I ask a question? I can’t make Events Calendar work in English and French even though I’m following all the instructions you have told people in the past… (last time this happened was 3 years ago, so i wonder if it’s a new thing now…)
I am not sure why this is happening – at the moment we have full availability and if you click on “report issue” the chat support should start after a second or two with one of our supporters on the other side helping you to resolve the issue. If this does not help please email me directly – amit.k@onthegosystems.com
Hello Bruno,
You need an active subscription to download any of our plugins. If you need to register more than 3 sites you will need the Agency version.
We have a wordpress plugin and we are getting a few customers who are having problems between your and our plugin. Who can I chat with about this?? I wasn’t able to find an email address on your site because I am not a paying customer and can’t login…
Hello Jacob,
our technical experts can help you investigate your issue but you need to have a WPML account to open a new support thread. So please ask one for your customers to share the credentials to his/her WPML with you. Next, visit this link: https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/ and open a new thread.
I’m sorry it’s not. You can buy WPML for yourself and cancel your subscription anytime you like. You can also buy WPML keeping our refund policy in mind. I allow you to test WPML for 30 days. https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
Hi, I am using Flatsome theme for my wordpress website. Would like to check, I understand subscription to WPML CMS is $79.00/year, if we didn’t renew the subscription for 2nd year, do we still able to use the translation function without updates and support or our site translation is totally not functional after that?
Your translations will work without updates. You can still use WPML plugins. If you want to receive new versions of WPML plugins, then yes, you need to pay every year. We are constantly adding new features.
Dears i am a client with you but my old developer has the login and the credential of the account of WPML and we are not working with him anymore and now the translation on my website is suspended for the below reason: can someone please help me urgently? i want arabic and enlgish translation:
WPML Update is Incomplete
You are running updated woocommerce-multilingual and wpml-media-translation, but the following components are not updated:
Your site will not work as it should in this configuration Please update all components which you are using. For WPML components you can receive updates from your WPML.org account or automatically, after you register WPML.
when i try to install update of woocommerce it said: Update Failed: undefined.
please can someone support me from WPML please ????
Hello Marcos,
I am afraid I cannot share the login without the account owner consent. Can you please contact us here with the url where WPML is installed. https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/
I registered a website “magdala.org” into my account but when im trying to activate the plugin with the “Site code”, an error message appears that says that my Site code is not valid for the site 🙁
I am using a multilingual theme by https://www.ait-themes.club (a theme with its own multilingual plugin) Is it possible to transfer my website to another theme and use wpml?
Thank you for the information Mercedes. I am currently trialing GTranslate on a site and it works well except that it does not integrate with the site’s search plugin (Ajax Search Pro). The ASP developer states that the plugin works well with WPML and that is the reason I am here.
I need dynamic translation of the site’s content. The site uses custom post types and advanced custom fields.
I understand that the content is in English and searches for translated words will result in content not found. What I do need is for the content on search results pages to be translated automatically.
Will WPML do this for me if I use automatic translation?
We are considering translating a WordPress / Woocommerce website with WPML. We use a Woocommerce ad-on called “Product Vendors”. Do you have any experience with this combination and can you tell us if your WooCommerce WPML add-on is compatible with the “Product vendors” plugin?
I am looking at buying the WPML plug-in as we would like to add additional regional languages to our blog. The languages that we are looking at are Indian languages such as Marathi, Telegu, Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati. While I see Tamil and Bengali, I dont see other regional languages. Also, I wanted to know that if I am not a technical person, would I be able to install this plug-in on my own? I would like to save the cost of the developer if possible.
Look forward to hearing from you. Right now, we are using the qTranslate-X plug-in version 3.4.6.8 which has converted our blog from English to Hindi. I would not want my existing blog to get impacted if we change the plug-in. Is this possible?
Hello,
if you are interested in machine translations, here are the supported languages: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
if you can insert your own translation, you can add any language to WPML.
Installing WPML is easy but I’m not sure if you will be able to configure everything you need for your specific site but in this case you can use our support forum for help.
I am looking at purchasing this for our company, but we would like to use translators that we’ve used in the past. Do you have a portal available where we can grant access for our translators to go in, create a different language version, and then we can approve it and publish it to our site?
Also, would your plugin allow us to create a separate version of our site so that if somebody selected “Spanish” for example, they would see different content? Or does it only apply to text?
Hello Blake,
yes, this functionality is still available in WPML (you need to enable the WPML Translation Management plugin)
Here’s the list of services: https://wpml.org/translation-service/
Yes, it’s possible to create a separate version of a page.
I am looking at purchasing this for our company, but we would like to use translators that we’ve used in the past. Do you have a portal available where we can grant access for our translators to go in, create a different language version, and then we can approve it and publish it to our site?
Hi, we have an active account of wpml but this account it’s from our previous developer agency and we want to update to company account, what’s the process that we need to follow?
But what exactly do you want to change, Esteban? What is “older” account for you and what is “new” account”? When you buy WPML from us, you get an account. It belongs to the person who purchased it. We will be glad to help you but it’s not clear what exactly you would like to change.
Hello Sean,
are you asking about machine translations? No, we don’t provide machine translation for this one. Please check this table: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
I would like to use WPML on all my sites. Do you offer any lifetime update and unlimited websites package? I only see Unlimited websites and 1-year update package only.
Hello, we don’t offer any lifetime updates. You can use WPML and use it for as long as you want but if you don’t renew your subscription after the first year you won’t get updates.
Hello,
You need to log into your WPML account to cancel your subscription. I have checked your account and I can see that your subscription expired on September 27, 2020 and you don’t have any active subscriptions.
1. Please log in to your account
2. click on the Modify link available on the account page
3. click on the Cancel Subscription link that is available on the Subscription page
I am using translate press, it keeps crashing the server and I’ve paid for 172m translations but I dont think I have that many words on my site. I had complained for 3 weeks and nothing has happened to resolve this. I hate to move but it looks like I have no choice.
How do I move to wpml without losing my translations and urls? Changing urls isn’t so bad but I paid alot of money. Thank you.
Hi.
My old developer had installed the WPML plugins but I am not currently in contact with him. I need to update them to the latest versions as they are creating conflicts with other plugins i have (Yoast).
I can not log in( since he did everything so assume he logged in with him email). Do I need to buy it again from scratch?
If i buy the 29$ version will all configurations on my website remain the same?
Yes, in this case, you need to buy WPML because the previous subscription belongs to your developer. Your plugins will remain the same. Check on your site how many WPML plugins you use. If only one, the Blog version ($29) will suffice. If more, you will need the CMS package.
I need clarification on the the pricing model. Does “how many words you use” refer to the number of words designated for translation on a given website or does it refer to the number of words translated by somebody looking at the website? What does the WPML registration process entail?
Hello Pete,
I guess you mean automatic translation. “how many words you use” is the number of words which will be translated automatically with our Advanced translation Editor. Once done, the translation remains on the site and visitors can switch languages as much as they want at no extra cost.
Hi @ WPML, I am sorry if the following is not completely clear to me:
1. If I buy for example the Multilingual CMS, it states “2000 words between any language pair every month” (automatically translated). Does that mean when I go over that I will receive additional subscription invoices for using the plugin?
2. “Translate yourself” does this mean I can edit translated text anywhere on my website and will this add to stay under the 2000 automatically translated words so no extra costs appear?
I really need a translation plugin but my budget is not that big so having a subscription on top of the yearly fee for a plugin feels a bit inconvenient to me as I was hoping to get a plugin that is without possible additional (subscription) costs.
On the page regarding automatic translation, you write both that up to 2000 words (in text) and up to 10.000 words (in gray box) per month is free. In the comment right above, you write 200 (maybe a typo), and then I can register and get additional 2000 words (is that then 2.000, 2.200, 4.000 or 12.000 words).

I just realized I seem to have a license of Buddypress ML 1,6. Haven’t had a web site for 5 years.
Reopening some before the end of year (ultimately 4), can I still use buddypress ML or should I buy an unlimited agency license of WPML?
New sites all runnning on latest WordPress/Divi on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS LAMP instances where AMP are from latest stable repositories.
Please advise.

Hello Carlos,
I have replied to you about this earlier via e-mail.
Which plugin I need to purchase in order to use Currency Switcher option? I need only Currency Switcher feature.

You will need the CMS version including our WCML plugin https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/#enabling-multiple-currencies

How does WPML work in comparison with GTranslate?
Hello Tim,
WPML is totally different. It is a plugin to build multilingual websites and to manage the translation of your site. One of the translation methods we offer is automatic translation, including Google translate
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-change-automatic-translation-engines/
This demo shows how WPML works https://wpml.org/

Hi Tim,
Is this the plugin you are referring to? https://codecanyon.net/item/ajax-search-pro-for-wordpress-live-search-plugin/3357410. If so, we have not tested it but it should work well. In any case you can ask for help in our forum and the support team will assist you.

You can try WPML for 30 days and if it does not suit your needs we will refund you https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
Yes, that is the correct plugin. Thank you!

Hello,
all addons for WooCommerce that are compatible with WPML are listed here:

You need to choose WooCommerce Extention in the Plugin Functionalities dropdown. I cannot see the Product vendors there

Hi, we have an active account of wpml but this account it’s from our previous developer agency and we want to update to company account, what’s the process that we need to follow?
Hello Esteban, what do you mean by “update”? If you want to update the plugins and your site is registered, you can do this from your WordPress site.
Hello Agnes, we want yo change the older account to a new one
But what exactly do you want to change, Esteban? What is “older” account for you and what is “new” account”? When you buy WPML from us, you get an account. It belongs to the person who purchased it. We will be glad to help you but it’s not clear what exactly you would like to change.
If you want to have access to a WPML account and your old one belongs to someone else, you can buy a new one and use the same plugins.
Does this plugin translate to or from Sanskrit?

You need to log into your WPML account to cancel your subscription. I have checked your account and I can see that your subscription expired on September 27, 2020 and you don’t have any active subscriptions.
Where exactly in your account on your site do you manage subscriptions?
1. Please log in to your account
2. click on the Modify link available on the account page
3. click on the Cancel Subscription link that is available on the Subscription page
1. Please log in to your account – Done
2. click on the Modify – Account page does not have Modify button

Hello Celeste,
thank you for your interest in WPML and your questions. Yes, your questions make perfect sense. Let me explain.
1. By default, WPML doesn’t translate anything automatically. You need to provide your own translations. But you can enable our ATE editor (please read more about it here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/) and then you will get an option to automatically translate your content. To use it, you need to set up an extra subscription, subscription for words. You will get 200 words for free each month and if you will need to use more than 2000, you will be charged according to this table: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#create-an-automatic-translation-account-for-an-extra-2000-free-words but in this case, you pay only for the new words you use.
2. Yes.
Hi,
I am looking for a multilingual aproach for my wordpress website, and trying to clarify pricing and features of alternatives.
After reading here https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/ and in the above comments, it is still not quite clear to me how many words I get for free per month.
Kind regards
Jesper
Hi Jesper,
It’s 10,000 + 2,000= 12,000 words for free. Note the offer for 10,000 is only valid until October 8th
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/free-words-per-month/
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Can I use Myanmar (Burmese) language translation
Hi!
Yes, you can use any language. See here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/
If you mean automatic translation, you can see the supported languages here https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
