  1. Hi Support,

Understood that the some features are not integrated with other third-party plugins. We would like to know more about the behavior of this plugin.

    1. Since there is no plugin for generate order summary report with showing also translated wording from WPML, is it easy for us to get the original words and translated words from SQL so that we may create a report with showing both original product name and translated product name on our side?

    2. Does WPML provide any settings that help to send confirmation email by customer selected language? E.g. sending a confirmation email in Chinese when customer using Chinese to place the order.

    3. Does WPML provide any settings that help to redirect to different language payment gateway by customer selected language? E.g. Redirect to Chinese version Asiapay payment page when customer using Chinese to place the order.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Selina

  2. hi!

We are considering to start using WPML instead of Translatepress as our translation plugin, but are struggling figuring out how the migration process should happen. Could you, please, provide some recommendations on what is the best way for us to go?

Thanks in advance for your help!
    Looking forward to hearing back

    Kind regards,
    Ivan

    • Thank you for considering switching to WPML. Unfortunately, we have no migration tools. You would need to remove your existing plugin and translate your content from scratch. You can use machine translations WPML offers to speed up the translation.

You can add any language to WPML but we support automatic translations (which you can edit manually if needed) for the following languages: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs

  3. I want to translate our website in Russian. I have Russian content of my website. Kindly guide me is this possible with your plugin? how easy it is? any demo or video will be highly appreciated.

  4. Hi WPML Support Team,

We are using the Divi theme, and the default is the English language, now we want to add the Vietnamese language for our web. So in WPML Plugin, does it support the Vietnamese language?

If yes, I’m planning to buy a Multilingual Blog package for our website, our website only has pages and posts. So is the “Multilingual Blog” package enough for our website?

    Thank you very much!

    Kind Regards,
    Hung

  5. Hi i run a startup ecommerce store mainly in English language .

  6. Hello,

If we required to change to use another server for the site, was it possible for us to deactivate plugin (WMPL CMS) in one site and use it on another site?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Selina

  7. Hello.
I bought a site with your plugin and studied it for a while, preparing for translation.
At the moment I am ready to translate my products using import (All import plugin). I understand that I need an add-on for this to work (according to https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-all-import-plugin-website-import-with-wpml/#how-to-import-woocommerce-products). But I do not have access to the download page because I am not a direct buyer. Can you help me with this add-on?

    • Hello, if your site is registered, please do the following on your WordPress site (backend): go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab and you can download the plugin from there.

  8. Hi,
We have purchased a Multilingual CMS for life license back in 2016 and I need some clarity on this license and what it covers. Does it correspond to the Multiligual CMS version of the Multilingual agency one. Depending on your answer I would need to purchase an Agency one but when I click on purchase it says that “You already have an account that includes all the features of this account” which means that my understanding is that the license we have purchased already covers the Agency feature set. Could you please confirm whether my understanding is ok or not.

    Thanks.

    Regards.

    Nicolas.

    • Hello Nicolas,
I see you have a lifetime subscription, like you say. This allows you to register unlimited sites for life. You do not need to purchase anything else.

      Kind regards,

  9. Hi!

We are intressted in translate the site with Multilingual CMS instead of GTranslate.
Original language is swedish and translation will only be in german.

    Here som questions!

How does in works if the layout for a page is changed? What happens to the translated fields?

Our costumer has a Map from “WP Google maps Pro” that we want to translate. Is it possible in Multilingual CMS?

    Best Regards, Susanna

    • Hello Susanna,
WPML can detect only these parts of your layout that include something to translate, so if your layout will change, you will see an icon indicating that the translated pages need to be reviewed again. If some of their texts have changed, you can apply new translations, if nothing has changed you can just approve the translation and that’s it.

If you want to translate specific pieces from 3rd party plugin, please check if your plugin is here:https://wpml.org/plugin/

If it is, you need the CMS package.

    • Hello Susanna,
Yes, you can translate WP Google Maps with WPML https://wpml.org/plugin/wp-google-maps/
About your other question, if you are using any of our compatible themes/plugins, once the original layout is changed, it should be syncrhonised within its translation. If you modify the content, you would need to update the translations as well.

  10. I am looking into this plugin for my client’s website. She will be using primarily Spanish for her 2nd language on her site. There will be no e-commerce to this site so I am wondering if the the Multilingual Blog would be the best choice or the Multilingual CMS for this site. Will I be able to translate all the pages in their respective languages using this product for the Multilingual Blog?

    • Hello, you can start with the Blog package (and upgrade to CMS later for the difference in purchase price) but please note that the Blog version doesn’t support machine translations using which can speed up the process of translating your site significantly.

  11. Hello:

I have a website that I am creating where the client is providing much of the content in the second language but we have form fields, buttons and other smaller items we might want to leave to an automatic translation. Can we tie manual translations for large amounts of text (like paragraphs on an About page) and if there is a button on that same page then automatic translation can take over using WPML? The goal is to keep translation costs down – so if there is another way to handle I’d welcome that. Trying to estimate what WPML will cost the client and how they can leverage that by handling some of the translating on their own.

    Thanks in advance!

    • Hello Tiffany,
thank you for your interest in WPML. Machine translations won’t be applied automatically (unless you set up WPML to do so, the “translate all” option will be available in WPML 4.5 and even then it needs to be explicitly chosen by the admin). When a user opens a page for translation they can provide their own translations and/or use machine translations, which can be also edited if needed. You are mentioning form fields. Do you use a form plugin? If so, what’s its name? For these form fields to be translated, this plugin needs to be compatible with WPML. Second, I’m not sure if automatic translations can be applied to these fields. Please provide me more info about these forms and fields.

  12. “In this case you will need to renew your account, I am afraid.”
    Hi again.
Can you help me renew my license? What type of account is best for me? (considering that I already had a multilingual CMS that had expired and my site is not registered because the plugin is installed by a third party company) Also, I saw discounts for old customers who have used your plugin before.
All I need as a result is to download an addon for the All import module.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Yuriy,
We have something available for you. Let me contact you via email directly about this.

      Kind regards,

  13. Hello. I need to create a bilingual Woocommerce e-shop in Greek and English. I need to use the automatic translation feuture. I understand that I will be billed based on the words that will be translated. My question is. I just need to translate the e-shop once. Will I be paying every month for the automatic translation or I will be billed only for the month I translated the e-shop.

    • Hello, yes, you will be billed only for the month when you translated your e-shop because these translations are saved on your site. Soon (when WPML 4.5 is out) you can also buy some translation credits in advance without creating a credit subscription.

  14. Hi Mercedes!
Sorry, it is the plugin Goole Map Pro from Flippercode, not Google Maps Pro.

According to your link you do not support that plugin.

    Best regards, Susanna

  15. Hi there,

I want to purchase a license for 1 website. The website is build with Elementor Pro. Is this compatible?
A second question; the website will be build on a temporarely domain. Will the licence still be active when i move the website to the definitve domain?

    Best Jan

    • Hello,
You need to buy the CMS package if you want to use WPML with Elementor Pro. Yes, you can move WPML your site to another domain later without “wasting” this licence. You can either unregister the site, delete the key and then generate a new key or you can register your site as a development site and then mark it as production.

  16. Hi,

I would like to ask if there is a possibility to purchase a license for WPML plugin and pay through wire transfer so you can send me an Invoice? It’s our company policy to request for the Invoice and pay through wire transfer when purchasing this kind of resources. We would like to purchase the yearly subscription.

Hope this is possible and looking forward to hear something from your team.

    Best Regards

    • Hello Ginel,
I can prepare a proforma invoice for you but I am afraid we do not accept direct wire transfers.
You can pay with a wire transfers through PayPal.
If this is OK, please let me know which version you want to buy and the company details to issue the invoice to. If you prefer to send the details privately, please contact us here https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/

      Kind regards,

  17. Hi,
We are currently developing a multisite network of around 12 sites included in the installation.
Each website is with 2 languages, local and english and each website is on a different domain.
I seen the docs regarding the domain mapping addons so from the technical point of view there is no issue – correct?
also, i see that the Multilingual CMS version includes 3 websites, the question is if this version will fit our needs due to the fact each website in the network loads from a different domain?

    Best Regards,
    Alon

  18. Hello there,
I am contacting you to ask about the WPML Multilingual Agency Plan.

If I purchase this plan and activate multiple websites, will I be able to control which website gets activation from my account dashboard here?
If I plan on removing access from certain websites, Is that also possible from the account dashboard or will I have to go back to the WP Admin dashboard?
Can I set a set time for a certain website to gain access and then after that time is over the access is removed automatically?
If I remove access from a certain website then after a short period of time add the website again, will I have to modify anything in the WP Admin dashboard or everything would be automated from my account dashboard in WPML?

    Best regards,
    Mohammed

    • Hi Mohammed,
Thanks for your interest. See my replies below
If I purchase this plan and activate multiple websites, will I be able to control which website gets activation from my account dashboard here?
Yes, you can manage the sites from within your WPML account
If I plan on removing access from certain websites, Is that also possible from the account dashboard or will I have to go back to the WP Admin dashboard?
      Yes, same as above
Can I set a set time for a certain website to gain access and then after that time is over the access is removed automatically?
I am afraid not. The process of adding and removing sites is done manually.
If I remove access from a certain website then after a short period of time add the website again, will I have to modify anything in the WP Admin dashboard or everything would be automated from my account dashboard in WPML?
You will need to add a new subscription key in the wp-admin

  19. Hi,

I’m exploring the possibility of switching to WPML for the English part of my website, as I’m not happy with my current solution.

I have a question that I’d like to have clarified: once I set up everything (just 2 languages), will people coming from English speaking country land on the English version of my website, or will they have to click on the flag to switch the language?
Because I already have a flag on my menu that switches between Italian and English, but most people browsing on their phones, end up not seeing it because it’s hidden and can’t find information in English (or even worse, have Google translate the website, with lame results).

    Thanks for your help!

    Elisa

  20. Hi,

if my client doesn’t pay for the renewal, does the translation stay the same or disappear?
    Thanks for your help!

  21. Hi ,

I want to translate my e-commerce site to a second language and I’m not decided yet what plugin to use. Please tell if there is a possibility to test your plugin before I buy.

    thank you

    • Hello Terry, your plugins and translations will work even if you cancel your subscription. Of course, we cannot anticipate what happens if you update your WordPress but won’t update WPML plugins but in that case, you can activate your subscription again (after a break).
