Hi, I’m looking forward to purchase $39/yr plan for my website. I could like to know whether $39/yr plan will support manual translation or manual edit after auto translation?
And where the translation get stored whether in the local database or will it be in WPML server?
Hello Sam,
yes, you can edit machine translations if you decide to use them and you can always translate manually. But to use automatic/machine translation features you need the CMS package. If you buy the Blog package you need to create the translation page from scratch and enter everything manually. If you buy the CMS package and you translate the page, the content of your page will open in a special translation editor which allows you to type in your text or click the “translate everything” button to automatically translate the page. WPML stores the translations in your WordPress database, which means, they will be always there even if you don’t renew your WPML subscription.
There is nothing specific we could recommend here. If you want you can buy WPML and test how it works with the plugin you have. In case of issues, you can request a refund or keep it for some other sites.

Hello,
WPML is the plugin to allow for the functionality of making your website multiligual.
To discuss the translation of content itself please contact one of our certified translation partners directly https://wpml.org/translation-service/
I am looking to add multiligual capabilities to our site, we would like to have the Woocommerce store/catalog in different languages and the same to our WordPress site. What are the plugins needed to implement this setup?
Hello,
you need to buy the CMS package which includes all WPML plugins we have. And the plugins needed to make your WooCommerce site multilingual are listed here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/ and you will find them on your WPML account after purchasing the Multilingual CMS package.
we have one pre-sale question regarding Woocommerce product-categories import.
We have stores with more than 800 categories and the number is increasing.
Some categories have 4 depth level, for e.g: Main category > Sub > sub > sub
So it’s with hierarchy.
Is it possible to do automatic translation for product categories via WP-All-Import or another tool? Because it’s quite hard to import with correct hierarchy.
If you have already made tutorial please share, because on other site our programmer tried to export-import translated categories and it failed, because it was impossible to synchronize hierarchy when doing with wp-all import.
For automatic translations, your can use our Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). ATE doesn’t translate all categories directly on one special screen (it translates categories assigned to a product) but we have a way around it. You can create a fake product and assign all categories to it.Then that product can be translated and as a result, you will have your categories translated too.
In other words, categories are translated as part of the product.
On another note, yes, our WooCommerce Multilingual plugin has tools to synchronize the hierarchy between the default language and the others.
Hello, we do offer a promotional deal for renewals but you cannot “take a break” and you need to renew as soon as your existing account expires. You subscription expired back in April 2, 2021 and that’s why you cannot see the discount. You can use the same WPML account but you need to pay the full price now.
My registered Visa Credit Card is no more active and the new one takes more time than available to renew my subscription. I see i can pay via wire transfer : may i have the required information to do it ?
IBAN, SWIFT and so on..
Thanks and regards

Hello,
we don’t offer wire transfers. In case you are late with your renewal and you cannot use the discount anymore, please let us know before proceeding with the purchase and we will manually extend the expiry date for a few days so that you can use the discount. But you still have time. I can see that your expiry date is March 2nd.
Hello,
My Subscription was ended, And i changed my domain name, so when i try to add a new domain in my account panel, I got an error said i have to buy a new license, So i removed my old domain and try to add the new one, but i got the same message.
And i cannot open support ticket also.
Now i was purchased the product one year later, but i cannot use it with my domain ever!
My situation now is: I buy NOTHING.
Hello Mohamed, yes, that’s how WPML works – to use it on a new site or with a new domain you need to register it again. And registration is possible only for users with an active WPML subscription. You would need to buy WPML again. If you want to use the same email, log into your WPML account first. If you find this situation unfair, you can request a refund after buying WPML and after putting back your site to work with a new registration key.
Hi i would like to purchase the WPML Agency licence for my business at https://www.sotaventomedios.com
I would like to ask this $199 is a recurring payment yearly or is it a 1 off and i can use it for multiple domains.
Hello Jeremy,
Yes, we have recurring payments (yearly) but you will pay less later – account renewals cost 75% of the original price. You can cancel your subscription at any time and still use WPML plugins. Yes, the Agency account can be used for multiple domains.
good work, I placed an order through your website. The payment originating from my credit card and my bank was refused. I went back to my bank and confirmed my payment. If my payment is delivered, can you provide activation? Also, I accidentally took 2 shots from my card. The bank did not approve the 2nd withdrawal. I wanted to give details. please your feedback as soon as possible. thnx
Hello,
I’ve checked your records using the email you posted this comment with and I cannot see any orders from you. Is it possible that you made a typo in your email? If so, you need to send us anything that proves that we charged you. Please use this form: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ or this email: hello@wpml.org and send us anything that can help us see that you paid. It can be an order number for example or your bank statement. Thank you.
Hi there, I have two websites currently. If I subscribe the Multilingual CMS package, can the license be used on these two websites? Or do I need to subscribe two licenses? Thanks.
Interested in the possibility of WPML for website I am developing for a not-for-profit climate action organisation in mid-Wales.
We need to publish the site bilingually in English and Welsh.
I have two questions:
1. I note that you support Custom Post Types. We used the Pods plugin for our custom post types. Does WPML support automated translation of custom post types created with that plug-in?
2. Regarding the credits for translation, what does a credit cover in terms of the amount of text translated?
Hello,
1. Yes, but first you need to configure your WPML to mark your specific post types as translatable. But default all custom post types are disabled from translation.
2. You need 1 credit to translate 2 words if you use the Google Translate engine, which is the default engine in WPML. We also support DeepL and MS Azure.
itclub-cambodia.com is the delivery side of the charity togrowanorchid.org
To Grow An Orchid funds very poor students to help them finish their education and provides basic IT Training beyond Word and Excel which is all that is taught in schools. All of this is for rural Cambodia.
Question
Do you have a charity / not-for-profit pricing policy?
Hello,
if you want to change the VAT number of your WPML account, please log in and visit the “Personal details and password” section. If you use the Pay-as-you-go for translation credits and you need to change the VAT, please log into your WordPress site that uses WPML, go to WPML > Translation Management > Automatic Translation > Payment and settings
I will be building a website that will be 15 pages or less. I have worked with the WPML plugin before, but I am not an expert nor do I speak French (Quebec) which is the language the site would be translated to. I am supply a quote to a client for a wordpress website fully translated. I think I would rather just build the English version of the site and then have your people do the translation and work to create the French (Quebec) version. Can you give me any kind of pricing for this job even if it is approximate?
Hello Charles,
you have a few options here:
1. You can use the “Translate everything” option WPML provides that will translate your site automatically using automatic translations. This can happen for free or might cost money depending on how big your site is. When you buy the CMS package you will get 90 000 credits for free which allows you to translate 45 000 words (1 credit = 2 words). Automatic translations are very good these days but they need to be reviewed. You can hire a professional translation reviewer who can do the review for you. Here’s the list: https://wpml.org/translation-reviewer/
Alternatively, instead of choosing the “Translate everything” option you can select “Translate some” and then manually select the pages to be automatically translated in bulk.
If you need more translation credits, you can buy them too. You can see the pricing here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
2. You can use one of the Translation Services WPML is integrated with. This means your site will be translated by humans. Here’s the list of the translation services: https://wpml.org/translation-service/ You can read more about this option here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/professional-translation-via-wpml/
I don’t know how many words your pages have. Say, it’s 500 words per page. 500×15 = 7500 words which requires using 15 000 credits. So your total cost of credits is zero (since we provide 90 000 for free). And let’s assume you have chosen this translation reviewer: https://wpml.org/translation-reviewer/andree-baillargeon/ To review 7500 for 0.025 per word would cost you about $190.
I want to confirm if these languages are supported by WPML:
Chinese (Simplified) (Mandarin)
Chinese (Traditional) (Mandarin)
French
Turkish
Hindi
Russian
Spanish
Vietnamese
Korean
Japanese
Portuguese
Dutch
Thai
German
Can I purchase Multilingual CMS first to check if it meets our requirement. If it dos not meet our requirement can we update same account to Multilingual Agency ?
Hello WPML,
I am new to WordPress world and I’m willing to launch a bilingual en/ar personal blog. At first sight, WPML is awesome for my project but I have a particular question I need to answer before I proceed to checkout!
Search behaviour in Arabic translated content (English version is the default one)?
There’s some Arabic character considered as equal. For example*: ا أ إ آ أَ أُ إِ are all equal characters.
Does WPML consider them so, or not?
*: Other examples or more details could be provided on demand
Hello, when you translate with WPML you can type in your translations manually and use any characters you want or you can use automatical translation (WPML is integrated with the Google Translate engine) or you can mix both methods.
I would like to know how multi-currency works: is the exchange set automatically in real time? or do I have to set it manually by changing the prices of all products from time to time?
Hello Robert,
could you please remind me of your context? What form did you fill out and what is your goal? We are getting many comments and I cannot remember everyone. When I’m trying to look up your previous request I cannot find it.

Thank you for the link to your review plugin. This plugin is not on our list of compatible plugins so it wasn’t tested by our team but I found this:
https://help.cusrev.com/support/solutions/articles/43000006545-integration-with-wpml
You can buy WPML keeping our refund policy in mind and test it yourself or check with the Reviews plugin authors if they know anything. You can also invite them to join our compatibility program: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/ to collaborate with our team to make both plugins fully compatible.
Thank you! I can’t find the list of the review aggregators which are compatible with wpml, can you share it with me?
Thank you,
Balint

Hi! WPML provides also URL translation and language hosting ( in subdirectories or subdomains)?
Thanks
Hello,
both options are possible but using WPML with different subdomains might require some extra setup on your server. https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/ The folders are easy to set up, you just need to select this option when following the WPML wizard after activating the plugin.
