Hello
I have a website that is in three languages A, B and C, A being the primary language. With WPML is it possible to
1) publish articles in any one language without having live pages created automatically in the other two languages
2) display articles on the home page without having to wait for the other languages
3) publish an article in one language without mandatorily having to create them in other languages too
4) Also, will WPML provide different login for different language authors?
1 – Yes. You can choose what gets translated when using Translate Some mode.
2 – Yes, and you can choose to either only display translated content or display the default language content if there aren’t any translations available.
3 – Yes.
4 – Yes, you can add individual translators to your site and assign them to specific language pairs.
I plan to buy a license for my small agency business.
What are the legal terms here in regard to how can I bill the license year by year to my clients.
I assume when I renew every year this is a smooth process?
Do you have T&Cs here?
Thank you / Jens
Hi Jens – Here are our Terms and Conditions. You must renew your WPML license every year in order to continue receiving updates and support. Renewals receive a 25% discount off of the original purchase amount. If you finish building the site and aren’t getting paid to maintain it, you can also transfer renewals to your client.
1. Is it possible to publish a blog/article only in one language? If we don’t wish it to be translated in Hindi, what will the page display once we change the language drop-down from English to Hindi? Will it show the English content or is it possible to display nothing at all.
**The Problem we are facing is that when we publish an English article and don’t have its Hindi or urdu versions ready, by default, we’ll see the english version in both other languages and the same displays in the home page of another language.
Is there any chance we can book a demo for WPML? It will help us a lot.
Hello – Yes, you can publish a blog post or article in only one language. In WPML’s settings, you can choose between two different translatable options for each post type:
1. To only display translated content – if you don’t translate a post, the language switcher won’t even show the other languages because there is no content in those languages.
2. To use the default language as a fallback if translations don’t exist – if you don’t translate a post, choosing another language in the language switcher displays the content in the default language.
We do not have a demo available, but we do have a 30-day money back guarantee so you can try it.
Hello there,
Yes, just below the PayPal option, you also have the possibility to pay by credit card.
And once you have bought your license, you will be able to disable the automatic yearly renewal from your WPML account settings.

I need to use 3 languages on my website. English will be the default one and the other two in Hindi and Malayalam
I have checked 65 pre-configured languages and enabled English and Hindi languages How can I activate Malayalam languages from 65 languages please let me know
Hello – No, you only need to translate your text. All other styling will be applied automatically unless you choose to redesign the translated page. If you want to use a different image on your translated pages, you can do this using WPML Media Translation.
Ok I had setup English and Hindi language but I cannot find a custom language option in language wizard Can I create custom language in wpml free version
Hi there,
I’ve been checking your information about automatic translations and i have a question related.
Let’s say we have 90.000 credits, are those credits used each time a user requests for a translation?
Or by the other hand, those automatic translations are somehow saved using just “X” words/website not for each user?
Better explanation (which is correct?):
2 Users (from EN to ES) request translations for 2000 words using Google Transl = 8000 credits.
2 Users (from EN to ES) request translations for 2000 words using Google Transl = 4000 credits.
Hi Armand – I assume by user you mean a visitor to your site. WPML does not provide translations “on-the-fly”. You translate each page only once, and when you edit a page, you only need to update the parts that changed. If a page is 2000 words, it costs 4000 credits to translate it with Google Translate, no matter how many visitors you have to your site viewing that page. I hope that answers your question!
I was wondering if WPML or Weglot can translate content that comes in from a custom Javascript file (loaded for example through the wp_enqueue_script)? Or does the content need to live on the WordPress database?
Hi, I have just paid through paypal but probably something went wrong on the website. The payment is successful, but I don’t know how to login and download the plugin. I didnt receive any email from you except from paypal.
Hi,
I am sorry for this. I see the transaction completed successfully on our site.
Can you please request a password reset link here? https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/
I would like to translate my website and have 3 different language versions for my potential customers.
The WordPress template I currently use is “Digeco” and I have an English version only.
If I buy the basic WPML option (“Use WPML on one site”), in understand that I can do as many language versions as needed for this website, is that correct?
Also, how would the users choose each language version?
By clicking on a drop-down menu with flags as in your own website?
Hi Antoine – Yes, you can add as many languages as you want, and you can add a customizable language switcher for your site users to switch between languages. Please note that the Multilingual Blog account type only allows you to translate posts, pages, and taxonomy, and you only have the option to translate content yourself. For anything else, you need a Multilingual CMS or Agency account. You can read more about the Multilingual Blog account type here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-with-multilingual-blog/
I have been using WPML on several websites in the past for my clients
At this time, in order to have access to add ons like ACFML (addon for ACF) or the add on for Yoast SEO, I had to buy the intermediate version of WPML (WPML CMS)
It looks like this has changed ? Now the Blog version seems sufficient . Am i right ?
Credits are how we calculate automatic translation usage, and they correspond to the translation engine used and the number of words. Microsoft = 1 credit per word, Google Translate = 2 credits per word, DeepL is 3 credits per word. You can read more about automatic translation pricing here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
Hello, I have a pre-sale question about automatic translation. Can I automatically translate posts into other languages using Google Tranlate or DeepL and save them as separate posts with their own url? Will a new translated post retain the HTML markup (eg bold/italic/etc) and media files (eg photos/videos/etc)?
Hello there,
Yes, every time that you translate a post or page with WPML, it creates a new entry in your database, thus it has its own URL.
Furthermore, WPML will try to keep the same HTML markup and if you also use our WPML Media Translation, all your medias should be synchronised.

Which of your pricing package do I need to purchase to use with this theme so that it works with WPBakery? The Multilingual Blog for $39 or Multilingual CMS for $99? It is for one website only. Thanks.

Hi Anjali – Malayalam is not one of the pre-configured languages offered by WPML, but you can add it as a custom language.
Hi, with WPML,
Will one have to upload media again with every translation of the article?
Hello – No, you only need to translate your text. All other styling will be applied automatically unless you choose to redesign the translated page. If you want to use a different image on your translated pages, you can do this using WPML Media Translation.

Hi Anjali – WPML does not offer a free version. If the version you are using is outdated, you will need to purchase WPML to update it.

Hello Lars,
Yes, that JS needs to be localized with a hook like wp_localize_script() so WPML will be able to translate it:
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/wp_localize_script/
I hope it helps.

How to pay?
Please help.
Hi Bhupesh – Currently, it is only possible to pay via PayPal from your location.
All clear, thank you!

Is this plugin suitable for a site that is NOT a woocommerce site, so just for post and pages?
Hi Betina – Yes, you can use WPML to translate any part of your site. You do not need to have a WooCommerce site to use it.
What does it means “3 production”? I can install the plugin in 3 different website?
That’s correct, Angelo.
If I buy WPML now (blog version) I understand I have support for 1 year; will updates be also limited for one year?
Thanks in advance
Massimo
Hi Massimo – That’s correct. You need to renew after one year to continue receiving updates and accessing support.
thanks

Hello Jerome,
No, the addons are included in the CMS or Agency versions, but not in the Blog version.

Hello,
how many and which languages are included in the MULTILINGUAL CMS package?
And what are 90,000 credits? Words? Lines?
Thank you & best regards, Sibylle
Hi Sibylle – You can add as many languages to your site as you want. WPML comes with 65 pre-configured languages, plus you can add your own custom languages or country-specific locales.
Credits are how we calculate automatic translation usage, and they correspond to the translation engine used and the number of words. Hello,
I would like to purchase your plugin, Multilingual CMS, but I see the only way to pay for it is through PayPal.
Is there any other way to pay for that? I don’t want to use PayPal. Please, advise.
Kind regards,
Lukasz
Hi there – Apologies, currently we only have PayPal available in your area.

Do you have a translation engine to do English to Quebecious French (Canadian French)?
Hello Steve,
You will be able to find all the available languages in this document, however, Canadian French is still not available.
