The 99$ is the initial license fee. This gives you access to the support forum and any plugin update releases for the core and other related WPML plugins for one year. After one year, the same fee is applied for any further updates and support forum access.
I’m sorry but our current subscription plans do not provide any kind of discounted pricing. The only difference between a CMS and Agency license is the number of sites that you can build at the same time. Both account types include all of WPML’s components and will allow to translate every aspect of your site.
With this in mind, you should consider starting with the CMS license and once a site is built, transfer that license cost to your client so you can build another site with your own CMS license.
Hello,
You will be able to add your VAT number during checkout and you will not be charged for VAT.

Hi, I want to purchase WPML for our multilingual woocommerce based shop, and I have some questions before purchasing.
We have such functionality, where users can create woocommerce products by submitting some form in our website (please note that form contains only some checkbox / radiobuttons, no text inputs with no custom values, i.e. we already know all the information in each product, nothing will be unpredictable). So our shop contains only that kind of user created products.
I want to understand how this products will be translated. I don’t want to have multiple products for each language. In ideal case I wont to be able to display same product in different langue URLs with same slug, and expect it to be translated automatically (because we already translated all the text with loco translate), for example something like this: https://my-domain.com/product/my-product https://my-domain.com/en/product/my-product https://my-domain.com/ru/product/my-product
in other words I want to be able to open all this links for one single product and see different languages.
Do you think this is possible? Or what solution would you suggest for us?
I want to purchase WPML and try it by myself, but I’m not sure if it will work as I expected. Do you have refund system in case if it didn’t solve our issues?
Hi, Mariam, and thanks a lot for considering using WPML for your websites.
It seems you have added an unusal structure/functionality to your WooCommerce website. So it is hard for me to answer your questions directly and concretely.
With WPML, when creating translations for a post or a product, in your case, a new product is being created. But we do have the option not to translate the post and products but still show them in the other language where the content of the product will be in the site’s default language. You can read about this option in our guide here.
This option will not create a new product and enable you to access the original product in the default language in the other languages’ URL. For example, https://my-domain.com/en/product/my-product. But I’m not sure that this is what you want.
We have a refund policy and system where you can ask for a refund within 30 days from the day you purchased the subscription. Please read about it here.
Hello, I already subscribed for one year and my plan is for 3 production websites for the entire year I just made 2 production websites and my right and the payment agreement is to give me one more website to make API key but the support and update are limited for one year, but now I can not because it says that your subscription is expired and I can not even add the third website, please help me
Your subscription expired on May 27, 2023. The automatic renewal option was not active on your wpml.org account. Nevertheless, we send email notifications before the subscription expires to remind our users to renew the subscription. Didn’t you get those emails? You must purchase a new subscription to register WPML on new websites. For further inquiries regarding your old account, please fill out the form at the following link, and we will get back to you.
WPML and TranslatePress are different and separate WordPress multilingual plugins.
Please explain what you mean when you say you need a front-end view similar to TranslatePress.
With WPML the front-end style is mainly determined by the theme and page builder plugins you are using.
We have Multilingual CMS Plan. We would like to ugrade it to Multilingual Agency Plan:
In your FAQ you stated:
“Can I upgrade my account later?
Yes, you can always upgrade from a lower-cost account type to a more complete one. When you upgrade, you only need to pay the difference.”
Can you please help me to upgrade an accoun to Muliligual Agency Plan.
Hello Simon,
You only need to log in to your account and you will see a link to upgrade to Agency for the difference.

Hi what i meant say when they translate i want view all elements like it has. it shows whole page in side bar translation option there can we add like this
As we are developing an application for our client; we would need this plugin to fulfil our application requirements.
As I can see on your website, the subscription is provided on a per year basis. But, our client only prefers to go with a one-time purchase.
Kindly let me know the possibilities to go with the same.
Hello Nidhi,
Thanks for your interest. I am afraid we no longer sell lifetime subscriptions. All our subscriptions currently have a yearly renewal fee required to keep updates and support.
Hi, Chris.
Translation credits are credits to use with WPML’s automatic translation option. Please read about automatic translation here. https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/
WPML, will not immediately stop working if you don’t renew the subscription.
However, with time and new versions of WordPress and our plugins, things might stop working, and you might get problems with your multilingual site.
Please read our article about How WPML Renewals Work and What Happens If You Don’t Renew. https://wpml.org/purchase/wpml-renewal/
Hello team – I tried to subscribe to the service with a credit card but it reroute me to Paypal, which is not an available option for me as it’s a company-owned card I’m using. Any suggestions?
Is your plugin capable of automatically detecting the geographical location of the user and then switching the language of the website to the national language corresponding to the user’s IP location?
Hello,
WPML supports automatic redirections based on user browser language. You can read more about this feature here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/ Please note that as soon as your website is translated to other languages, soon after it will be indexed in Google and other search engines and it will attract organic traffic to its pages in other languages, which means you won’t need any redirections.
Hello,
yes, WPML can translate menu titles and page names too. If you are asking about automatic translation, WPML can translate about 80-90% of your site automatically. It depends on the content of your site. 10-20% of the content needs to be translated manually, for example slides of the popular Slider Revolution plugin. Also you if you have some less popular plugins, some of these might not be compatible with WPML. Feel free to share a link to your website and I can tell you more.
We’d like to install your plugin on our website, where we have almost 10,000 posts in English.
We are planning to include some articles in French and Chinese and would like to use your plugin.
However, this will only be for a certain number of posts, so is there a way to have articles in English, and then when visitors read them they can click on the French or Chinese flag and be taken to a page with a default text on it, something like: “We do not currently have this article in French or Chinese, but if you’d like to translate it, please contact us”, or something like that?
If not, is there a workaround for having almost all of our articles in English, but a few in French and Chinese while using this plugin? Thanks.
Hello, greetings,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. When you set up WPML it will offer you two translation modes. Please check this image. If you don’t want to translate all of your pages, please select “Translate What You Choose”. Then you will be able to use automatic translations in bulk – please check this screenshot Now, what will happen with your untranslated pages – if you visit them, you will see that the languages switcher doesn’t show the other languages. Alternatively you can choose another option in WPML settings to show the language switcher but to redirect to the homepage for missing translations. You cannot create a template for untranslated pages saying ““We do not currently have this article in French or Chinese, but if you’d like to translate it, please contact us”.
Hi All,
We want to upgrade to Multilingual CMS.
If klick on „buy“ the following message appears:
——————
PRODUCT Upgrade to WPML Multilingual CMS
DESCRIPTION
Access to all of WPML`s modules and features
Use WPML on three production sites
90,000 credits for automatic translation between any languages
TOTAL $38.20
Account renewals
Your account will renew every February 2, starting 2024.
The yearly renewals cost $74.00.
Each renewal tops up your automatic translation credits to 60,000.
————————-
Does that mean that we have to pay one time costs of $38,20 and then additionally $74,00 every year?
Will this yearly fee be booked from the credit card without notification?
Hello Diana,
Yes, if you upgrade now to the CMS version you will get charged a percentage until the next renewal date, calculated by the system. In your case, it’s 38.20$. The renewal fee will be 74$/year (charged every Feb 2nd). You can leave your account in automatic renewal so that you don’t risk missing the renewal date and having your subscription canceled. You can change the payment method at any time following these steps https://wpml.org/purchase/how-to-change-your-payment-method/
1) Can WPML navigate two languages on the same page? For example, on the website I linked you can find content in English and Spanish. If someone wants to translate the content to Chinese, will both languages be translated or just one?
Hi we are using gtranslate and having caching issues. How does caching work? Are changes available right away? Also, do you offer a trial? I need to get a demo going in order to justify funding and a change. Thanks for the help.
Hello JD,
Yes, changes are made available immediately. We don’t have free versions but you can try WPML for 30 days and see if it suits your needs.
We will issue you a refund if it doesn’t. https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
I am working on building a new website, in connection with Calves research for my University in Dublin.
We were interested to know if there was a non-profit licence option for CMS that we might avail of?
Thank you. I have sent you the forrm.
For the Multilingual CMS Plan, is the $99 a one time fee? If so, are there any recurring fees that are associated with this plan?
Hello Colton,
The 99$ is the initial license fee. This gives you access to the support forum and any plugin update releases for the core and other related WPML plugins for one year. After one year, the same fee is applied for any further updates and support forum access.
I hope this answers your question.

Hi what i meant say when they translate i want view all elements like it has. it shows whole page in side bar translation option there can we add like this
Hello!
You will get a preview only if you use automatic translation and review those translations. For manual translations you will get the 2 columns screen.
Lastly, you can duplicate the page and then edit it in the WordPress editor to view all “elements” but in the backend (we don’t have that for frontend)

Hi, I want to know what exactly you mean by translating credits on the plan pricing and if the plugin will stop working if i don’t renew the license

If you have further questions please reply to the email.

WPML supports automatic redirections based on user browser language. Hi,
Is there any function to put google translation plugin into wordpress website?
Hello,
Google Translate is a built-in feature of WPML (WPML connects to Google Translate via its internal API) but the default translation engine for WPML is DeepL which provides even better translation quality than Google. If you prefer to use Google Translate, you would need to change the order of these engines in your WPML settings. https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/translation-engines.png
If you want to copy-paste from Google Translate, it’s also possible but will take more time. In this case you would need to switch off WPML Translation editor as explained on this page: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/
Does it translate everything on the page including Menu titles and page names?
Hello,
yes, WPML can translate menu titles and page names too. If you are asking about automatic translation, WPML can translate about 80-90% of your site automatically. if…… after the WPML translate the full website content, if I do deactivate and remove…. all the translation will back to English ???
Hello,
when WPML translates your site, it creates new pages and posts in the languages you translate to (it doesn’t “touch” your original pages). So if you just deactivate WPML, you will see these newly created pages mixed with your other pages. To avoid this, before uninstalling WPML, please use an option to tell WPML to remove these translated pages. Simply follow the steps here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/#step-1-remove-the-secondary-languages-and-all-existing-translations
