Problem:
I've got only one string that I can't translate " Votre réflexe sécurité..." It's (probably) a Paypal string, but it seems there is no trace of this in the theme, WooCommerce or WooCommerce PayPal Payment...
Have you got an idea ? Solution:
it depends of the default language of your web browser
Problem:
I'm creating custom product tabs with the plugin "Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce" but the translation content in the tabs is copied to the translation product page. Solution:
Go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation > Search for the field "yikes_woo_products_tabs" and set the preference to Translate. Relevant Documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-fields/
We are using WPML and ACF + the glue plugin ACFML. We initially set an image field's translation configuration to be "copy". Now we would like to be able to change the image in the translated languages, so we set it to CopyOnce. Yet the post-edit interface in the translation language post-edit screen is still locked for that image field.
Solution:
1- Deactivate all plugins except these (https://prnt.sc/B8JbDb-AdM8t)
2- Select "Different fields across languages" translation mode in the following field groups
Atom : Teaser Item
Page Builder
3- Edit the (wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/classes/custom-field-translation/class-wpml-copy-once-custom-field.php) file
4- Replace the following code at line 66
3) Fields I have never wanted to translate (and its set in translations settings) appeared in translation editor and we got less than 20% completed (before update it was 100%)
It causes problem when we do changes on product and on translation it does not appear because translation seems to not be finished...
Problem:
The client wants to adjust the width of the WPML language switcher dropdown in the menu.
Solution:
The language switcher dropdown takes formatting from the current theme to make the language switcher style consistent with the current theme menu. You may ask your theme author to fix this issue for you or you may try the below CSS to override the theme CSS:
Problème:
The client noticed that search results on Google would show English texts for French URLs.
Solution:
The client was using "Automatic redirection according to the browser's language" which can greatly impact Google indexation and SEO. Because Google crawler will be redirected to the English content by default. For more details read the link below.
I've translated the Astra theme widget block, including header and footer texts and links. Translation queues are complete, but the translated texts aren't displayed on the front end.

2- Go to WPML-> String Translation
3- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
4- Search for the needed strings
5- Select the strings
6- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
7- Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link
8- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end
Problem:
Updated product prices are not reflected in the translations. Solution:
WPML is designed to work and launch the price synchronization process from the WordPress editor, that's why everything should work smoothly when you manually change the price or just edit the product.
However, there is a quick and easy workaround if it didn't get synchronized:
- Go to Dashboard > Products.
- Select your products.
- Open the "Bulk Actions" dropdown.
- Select "Edit".
- Click on the button:
x Apply.
This will launch the synchronization process. Relevant Documentation:
Problem:
The client wants to get the current language using the wpml_current_language hook but it was not working.
Solution:
There was a logical error in the client code, either use the global keyword to access the variable that is defined outside of the function definition or use the wpml_current_language filter inside the function.
Problem:
I was trying to fix an issue of attributes not showing on translated product pages. I went through the troubleshooting checklist and now some original language product variations have disappeared
While using Razzi theme, the "Size Guide (razzi_size_guide)" post type is not visible on the translated product page.
Solution:
To resolve this issue:
1. Set the post type "Size Guide (razzi_size_guide)" to Translate under WPML → Settings → Post Type Translation.
2. On the same page, set the custom fields "razzi_size_guide" and "size_guides" to Copy.
3. Re-save the product translation.
Following these steps should make the Size Chart visible on the translated product page.
