  1. Hi,
we interested to buy WPML. Multilingual CMS $79.

    Questions:
    There obligatory renewal every year?
What happen if we dont renewal account for next year? our website translations stop working?

    Thanks.

    • Hi Tom,

the renewal is optional. If you don’t renew both your translations and WPML plugins will continue working. You need to renew to get access to future releases of our plugins and our support help. You can also upgrade to the Lifetime version for the diffrent in purchase price. You will find that option in your WPML account.

    • Hi Szymon,
This theme wasn’t tested by our Compatibility Team but the theme authors say on the page you have linked that they are compatible with WPML. Please note that even if a theme isn’t fully compatible, you should translate all basic elements such as pages, posts, menu, categories, tags but you might have issues with translating theme custom options.

If I were you, I would give it a try. Our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days without any risk and you can use the same WPML license for all sites you build.

  2. i have bought the wpml plugin . having specific issue but don’t know where to create
ticket as it is hidden in the wpml website so adding the issue here .

language switcher not showing correct price for different role . language switcher shows correctly

    • Hello Bjorn,
my colleague says that you asked for a refund. I’m sorry that you had troubles in creating a ticket. Please let me know if you still need our assistance.

  3. Hello,

I’ve tried auto translators and they just don’t work and don’t make sense.

Do you have a Mandarin language available as this is one I don’t see on the list of most plugins..

I also don’t know how the translation works… if we are converting a page to mandarin… do we copy the page then type it all up in mandarin.. Also how can we do that with symbols or is best leaving the People writing the mandarin language to write the symbols into the conversion themselves?

Quite confusing but just need to understand that it will work the way we need and your plugin seems to be the one i’m looking for.. it will just be a lot of work converting it all is suppose??

    Thanks
    Anthony

    • Hello Anthony,
thank you for your interest in WPML.

If you use WPML for your multilingual site, you have three options to translate your contents:

      1. Do this manually – copy from the documents your customer has provided and paste translations directly into your WordPress. This is a simple process but a very time-consuming one. When you copy-pasting all the Mandarin symbols should work fine.
      2. Send your content to your own translators via XLIFF files. WPML Translation Management module helps you here.
      3. Send your content to a professional translation. Completed translations appear automatically in your site. No manual work is needed. Please find out more here https://www.google.com/url?q=https://wpml.org/documentation/content-translation/
      4. Make some of your WordPress users translators and sent your content to them – they will use WordPress as well.

The Mandarin language is not included in the pre-defined languages but you can add it manually. This pages explains how

      I hope it helps.

  4. Hi, Thank you for your help,

By seo, we want to do website.com/venezuela/ for venezuela, website.com/colombia/ for colombia etc…

How we do that? is possible with WPML?

    Thank you

  5. I am building my first multilingual wordpress site for a client and plan to use WPML. If I buy the multilingual CMS version for $79 for development purposes, and they decide later to buy the lifetime CMS version (within 30 days), can I get a refund for the first one?

    • Hi Chris,
if you decide to upgrade to Lifetime, you don’t need to ask for a refund since you’ll pay only the difference in purchase price. In your WPML account you will find an option to do so.

  6. Hi there,
Can you show me where the pricings for the WPML All Import add-on is?
If I have WPML Multilingual Blog/CMS installed, I also know I need to have the WP All Import plugin, but I am unsure about the prices for the WPML All Import add-on.
    Many thanks

    • Hi Cristina,
it’s included in the WPML CMS/Lifetime package. If you have the CMS subscription, please log into your WPML and go to the Downloads section. You should see the WPML All Import plugin there.

  7. Hello+

I am using Avada Theme to set up a Multilingual eCommerce Membership Website. I found this forum via a link from Avada’s website… I plan to use WPML for the Mulitlingual part, but I don’t know where to start or what other plugins are required by WPML for me to accomplish this. I did find a documentation page that then linked to another plugin that then linked to another documentation page that then linked to additional plugins… (And down the rabbit hole I went!)… Could you please provide an orderly list of all plugins I might need in order for the front-end of the website to be translated (including all eCommerce pages and prices) form American English into other languages? (If you have a complete list with links available that would be fantastic!) I do not need to translate the back-end of the website.

    Thank you, +ES

  8. Hi

I would like to know if your version
    “Multilingual Blog
The economic solution for multilingual WordPress blogs”

    contain:
    -wpml-sitepress-multilingual-cms
    -wpml-cms-nav
    -wpml-media
    -wpml-string-translation

    Daniel

    • Hi Daniel,

no, you won’t find these plugins in the Multilingual Blog version. You will find them in the CMS or Lifetime version.

  9. I work for a language service provider, and we have a client that has their website created with WordPress. They need it localized and we are trying to find a plug-in that would help our purposes.
Ideally we need a plug-in that would allow us to export/import source directly from their WordPress site so that we would translate outside of the interface.
I saw some of the demos posted online but was not sure if it offered the capabilities we are looking for.
    Looking forward to your answer.

    • Hi Antonio,

If you use WPML for your multilingual site, you have the following options to translate your contents:

      1. Do this manually – copy from the documents your customer has provided and paste translations directly into your WordPress. This is a simple process but a very time-consuming one.

So options #2 and #4 would work for you I guess. You can buy WPML and test it for 30 days without any risk (and asking questions on our support forum). If it turns out that you are not completely satisfied just use this form and we will refund your order.

  10. Hi!
    I would like to buy
    “Multilingual Blog
The economic solution for multilingual WordPress blogs”
Can you tell me if this package contain:

    wpml-sitepress-multilingual-cms
    wpml-cms-nav
    wpml-media
    wpml-string-translation

  11. Hi, i develop several wordpress sites for customers and for myself. Can i use one WPML CMS licence for both? Or do my customers have to buy a licence for himself ?
    Thanx.

    • Hi Jack,
you need only one WPML licence (subscription) and you can use it both for yourself and your customers. You can also regiter your customers’ sites in your WPML account so they have access to new releases directly from the WP admin.

      • Hi Agnes,

        😉

Could i even share my subscription with friends and colleagues? What are the restrictions?

        Thanx

        • Yes, you can install WPML plugins on unlimited number of sites but only you, as the subscription owner have access to our support help. And unless you register your sites in your WPML account, the maintenance will be difficult – automated updates are available only for registered sites and the associated WPML account needs to be active. You cannot resell WPML. I hope it help.

  12. Hello

I am thinking of buying your plugin, but first I have few questions:
1- is it compatible with my theme, the vendor is saying that he has not tested any translation plugin, this is my site tq5tv.com (is not fully finished yet)
2- Is it compatible with Revolution slider
3- Which languages does it include, I am looking for Kabyle language beside french and english, and if not included can I add it or do I have to translate by text and content
4- Is the simple plan enough for my current requirements

    Thank you

    • Hello,

      1) your site uses the SocialPlay theme which wasn’t tested for WPML compatibly by our Compatibility Team. So I don’t know if it will work with WPML. Usually translating pages, posts, menu, categories, aff basic stuff works fine even if your theme is not fully compatible but your case is really tricky since this theme is media oriented and I cannot say much.

      2) Yes, WPML is compatible with the Revolution slider.

      3) You can add any lanaguge to WPML. Here’s the list of the pre-defined lanaguges provided with WPML but even if your language is not there, you can still add it manually.

      4) Using the simple plan (Blog) will suffice for translating pages, posts, menu, categories, tags. YOu can start with the plan and if it turns out that’s not enough you can upgarde to the CMS version for the diffrent in pruchase price. But the problem here is that we don’t know if WPML will work with your theme. Our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days with any risk so you can buy WPML and test it.

  13. Hi team,

    I have a quick pre-sale question.

I’m building an ecommerce website for a client, and which plan is suitable in my case?

I’ve been using polylang for the site, but it creates weird error with woocommerce.
i have done translating myself in the past, so was wondering which plan would be good.

    Thanks.

  14. Hi
1- The standard WMPL can be used to make Gravity forms multilingual or I need to separated addon?
2- Can I use WPML to translate any wordpress template or plugin?

    thanks

  15. Hello,

  16. Hi, I bought the blog plan but I’m using divi builder and it doesn’t seem to work properly, do I need to upgrade? is there any way to contact you via phone?
    thanks

  17. Hello,
we are thinking to use this plugin for our website, but we are in contradiction about compatibility. Also my other question is “Can we use it for Woocommerce and Tickera?”. Can we get any trial ,playground version etc. of plugin?

  18. hi we are very interested in buying your plug in but have a few questions we would love to get answered from you before we purchase it.

1 the site we need it for will be in french with the idea to use your plug in to translate to English (uk not american). we will want to be able sometimes however to put our own english translation in…will this be possible …i.e to have the options per post whether to use the automated option or put our own translation in
2 if we get a piece of text in English that is the first piece of copy for the post, are we able to then have this automated translation to French and even again have the option to put our own very on French copy in?
In other words can you translate either way from both languages used???.i.e from french to english and English to French and then finally add a complete piece of copy in where wanted instead of using the auto option….really hope this make sense and you can confirm the options so we can get on with buying…kindest jo

    • Hello,

WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically, you need to insert translations. The main goal of having a multilingual site is to attract organic traffic from search engines such as and Google doesn’t like machine translation.

You can set up your site to be available in French and English using WPML but you need to take care of translations by yourself. There is also an option to consider to use one of the professional translation services that are integrated with WPML but for these you pay extra. Please read more here.

  19. Hi, I will like to purchase the CMS version, just one question, we have 3 separate websites (domains), does the purchase allows you to use it 3 websites? Thank you.

    • Hi James, yes, it does. You need to buy only one WPML susbcription and use it for all of the sites you build for your and/or for your customers.

  20. hello team,
i am a new web designer, and i want to use this plugin. i want to know first how performant it is about the translation, because google translate plugin really does an awful job translating to french.
second, in the company i work for we purchased the plugin, i ve tried to install it in our test environment, and i get the error: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature. can you assist, please.

third, i want to buy this plugin for all my independent contracts, so can someone get in touch and explain more about the install and pricings as well, please.

    highly appreciated.

    regards.

    • Yes, its possible. Widgets are normally translated using String Translation but you can also create a different set of widgets per language which always works.
