I’m a registered user of WPML Lifetime license. I’m in a WordPress Facebook discussion about Lifetime license and its use. One person says that a user of a Lifetime license can make anything with it, including re-selling to anothers. I would like if this is true. I have serious doubt about it.

We do not authorize reselling our plugin because the only official place where users can buy it and get access to support and downloads is from us 🙂 With a lifetime subscription you are entitled to all downloads and access to the forum for life. It allows you (as all other subscriptions) to register WPML on as many sites as you need. WPML is GPL-licensed, which means you can do whatever you want with the files, but our name is trademarked and we require an active subscription to offer support and updates, like I explained before. You will be able to add the .html extension, but you wont be able to remove the product directory from the URL:

Sorry, but we don’t have support in Finish and Swedish. There are clients building sites in these languages, but we don’t have staff that gives support in them. Is this what you wanted to ask or something else?

I’m considering the purchase of a lifetime license, but I have never used WPML before, and I have three questions:
1) I would be using WPML for translating my English site for Spanish visitors. There are many different locales for Spanish. Suppose I set up WPML to translate my English site to es_ES (Spain.) Then, someone with their browser set to es_MX (Mexico) visits the site. What will happen? Will they get the default English site, or will they get the es_ES (Spain) version?
My question is basically, can I direct all Spanish locales to es_ES (Spain) if I wish to do so? I don’t feel up to the challenge of accommodating all Spanish locales individually.
2) Does WPML work with po/mo files? I mean, if I use a plugin that has a .MO for Spanish, is WPML going to utilize that .MO file to translate the plugin?
2. WPML sets the language code, so plugins and themes load their .mo files correctly. So yes, if you are using a theme and plugins that already have translations, WPML will make sure that these translations are loaded.

There us one key per website, you can create as many keys as you want and you can distribute these keys among your customers. With this key they can update themselves if required.

Hello, I bought already 2 times the WPML plugin and this keep refunding me. Please advise what to do, because i have no idea what is happening. Payment method I used was debit card. I have sufficient funds on it so that’s not the case. After receiving completion email, after about 2 hours i received email with “order refunded”. Why?

I have found your 2 orders. They are refunded, like you say. They have the following note added: “Payment failed in 2Checkout fraud review.” This review is conducted by the payment processor. Can you check with your bank if they are not authorizing the transaction for some reason? You are also welcome to try with a different payment method, like PayPal or credit card.

I am currently working on a website based on a template in English. The fisrt version of my website will be in Spanish only but I would like to keep the original English version for the future. Can I use WPML to keep the English version in the background and just showing the Spanish version for the moment (without displaing the language switcher widget)?
Also, I was wondering if the template I use will be compatible with the language switcher widget once I will need to publish the website in different languages?

Deactivating or uninstalling WPML wont remove any posts, they will still be there.
But you will have more that one version of each post, one for each language.

Yes, its enough for the Yoast plugin. Each translation is totally different posts with its own SEO information.
You need the CMS package for translating sites built with Visual Composer.

If I install WPML, will my original url still be valid? It’s absolutely vital for me because of the ads, some that I can’t edit.

1. Normally, WPML doesn’t automatically redirect visitors to content in their language. WPML includes a feature that allows you to serve content according to the browser’s language. We recommend to use it only for very specific cases. Google warns that this behavior can be bad for SEO. The documentation page about it is here:
