Hi wpml,
We are a non-profit organisation looking for a multi-language solution. Browsing your site it seems that you have a special offer for non-profits – is that still the case?
Hello,
We have discontinued the support for new non-profits, I am afraid. We still support the existing sites in our system but are not taking on new ones.
Thanks for your interest.
Hi,
I need to know if WPML works with Divi Theme and Woocommerce. I need to do multilingual all my website, fom Home Page to all the product descriptions and categories.
Thanks.
Hi Mercedes just one more question:
The CMS version includes all the plugins required? They are paid or free plugins?
WPML 3.4 or above
WPML String Translation 2.0 or above
WPML Translation Management 2.2 or above
WPML Media Translation 2.1 or above
WooCommerce 2.1 or later
I have WP All Import and also the Listify theme. For each listing which I would like to import into Listify, there is a unique identifier. For each unique identifier I have multiple language files (already pre-translated) which I would like to import into Listify (whereby the unique identifier is found across all the language files to denote it is the same listing, just in a different language). I am wondering how can I organise all this information into the Listify theme so that people can toggle into different languages, and how to organise the URLs for example using a subdomain for each language OR putting the language in the URL somehow. I am happy to pay someone to set this up to save me time as well.

Hi support
I’m trying to buy the WPML full package $195, and are taken to the verified by VISA page. I provide all needed information, but are when accepting taken back to the original page with a statement that saying that “authorisation failed”. What to do?
Hi guys I would love to buy WPML but I am only allowed to purchase from within the economical jurisdiction of the European Union. Can you bill from an EU country or would the invoice come from OnTheGoSystems Inc Hong Kong?
Hello,
I’m not sure what “being allowed to purchase from within the economical jurisdiction of the European Union” means but if you are a business registered in the EU and have a VAT number, be sure to enter it to our checkout page, so that we don’t have to charge you VAT.
if there are courses plugins lets say you have additional menu buttons and pages in your wordpress because of that, can these extra menues and pages be manually translated with the wpml plugin ? And if yes, which package do you need to buy ? is the cheapest enough ?
it depends on the plugin and how these features were implemented in it. If they were implemented using WP standards, there is a good change they will appear in your navigation automatically and you will be able to translate them using WPML.
If you just need to translate pages and your menu, the Blog version should suffice. Please note that you can buy the Blog version and if it turns out that you need some extra WPML modules that are available only in the CMS version, you can upgrade from the Blog version to the CMS one for the difference in price. You will find a link to do so in your WPML account.
If your course plugin have more elements to translate (more than just posts, pages, menu), please check if it’s available on our “plugins compatible with WPML” list. In that case you will need the CMS version to translate these extra strings/elements.
A client of ours has built a website using wordpress and plans to use WPML for multilngual control.
Please let me know what are the options to do the version control for translations in WMPL.
Is there a feature that allows to get a notification when English content is updated, so we know that translations need to be done? Is there a way to export only new content (in xliff format)?
Or are there any additional plugins that need to be installed to be able to streamline updates translation process?
Thank you for your reply. My question mostly goes to the updates of the existing content, not to the 1st time translation of the entire content.
Let’s imagine the situation when the entire website is already translated, using translation management plugin. Then the client updates a few pages in source language (in English).
Is there a way to get an automatic notification that there was an update of the English website and some content requires translation? And is there a “smart” way to export only the content that needs to be translated, not going through each individual page?
Yes, WPML can detect it. If you update the original page, the icon of the page/post in the translation panel will change to “Needs update” and this way you easily filter out only these that need translation and send them to your translators again. But please note that the entire page will be sent not just the piece (paragraph) that has changed.
Thank you Agnes. I see that there’s a ‘Don’t include already translated terms in the translation editor’ option. So it applies only if the translation is done in the editor, not for the export in xliff, right (so the xliff will always contain entire page)?
after adding pages that need to be translated in the basket, I don’t see corresponding jobs in the Translation queue. Please let me know what may be an issue.
Here are the steps I do:
Select pages that need to be translated -> add them to basket -> select a translator -> Send for translation -> the jobs don’t appear in Translations queue.
And xliff files are not attached to the email to the translator, even if the corresponding option is checked in the notifications tab.
Hello Debbie,
WPML doesn’t translate automatically. It provides you an interface to translate different strings of your website. If your theme is WPML compatible, you will be able to translate all strings, even the ones coming from your theme options. If it’s not compatible you sure still be able to translate pages, posts, categories, tags, menus, etc.
I’d like to be able to create a .com mirror of my .co.uk store for US-based customers. Is this possible? The content, stock, and products will be the same, but the domain and currency would be changed automatically.
Hi Matt, yes, that’s possible. You would need to add another language (please check this hint and then you can use the duplicate option WPML provides and use the and use auto exchange rate feature. Or you can enter the new price manually after your procust is duplicated.
Our developer build our website with WPML. WPML expires in 5 days and we want a renewal. But we do not have acces to his account page, so how can we renewal our subscription? Can’t seem to find a way to make a new account and renew with the link that WordPress gives us.
Hi Yvonne, only the subscription owner can renew it. So you would need to ask your developer to do so. He/she needs to log into his/her WPML account and there will be an option to renew. If you would like to have your own subscription to make independant from your developer, you would need to buy it on your behalf.
Hi Victor, currently we have an option to upgrade from the CMS version to the Lifetime version for the difference in purchase price (providing your WPML subscription haven’t expired yet). This may change in the future.
That’s a pity, i want to buy a CMS license right now and, in a year, I’ll pay the difference to a lifetime license… would you notify before change the rules?
Hi Alex, we don’t have any demo but our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days. And it’s even better than a demo since you can test it with your own theme and plugins and during that probation period you can even ask questions in our support forum.
In the setting, do i need to insert language one by one for example like product A i need to insert twice title name or twice description? Or this plugin got provide one click to translate all page, product and other information?
Hi,
The translate one by one is refer to I need to key every simple for every product? If like that, it take too much time.
The one by one translate is refer to I need to click one by one?
If you need your products to be translated, than yes. We don’t provide any machine translations.
Hi, i just checked your plugin is for unlimited website.
is it means once i purchase it, i can install it at many website by not restricted to one only is it?
Hi,
yes to both of your questions. So you just need to buy one WPML subscription. After the first year, again, you just need to renew it and again, use it for all your websites and websites you build for your customers.
Hi Victor, so now the option to upgrade from “CMS” to “Lifetime” is available, but sometime in the future we are planning to remove the option for Lifetime accounts but even if we do so, we will announce it ahead of time so our current ‘yearly’ clients (like you) will be aware of losing the ability to upgrading to Lifetime (which they have now) and you will still be able to upgrade to Lifetime for a few weeks. I hope it helps.
I would like to translate this web http://www.restauranthavana.cat and I don’t know the pack I needd. The blog one is enought??? For 2 languagues Catalan – spanish
Thank you
Hi Merce,
do you use the Spacious theme? If so, I have good news for you – the themes is compatible with WPML. You will need the CMS package. You won’t translate all elements of this theme with the blog version.
Hello, we don’t have this feature. WPML has an option to direct your site’s visitor based on your user’s language set in her browser (this option is available in WPML settings but disabled by default). But we don’t recommend using this option – you might have issues with indexing your website. It better to include a language switcher and make it stand out so your user will switch to their language if needed. Please note that if your site will have good quality translations made by human, it will appear in indexes of search engines in an organic way and you will get traffic from search engines, directly to the page in the language the user was searching for.
I’m wondering if it is possible to set default languages per site, so the plugin will change the full site from English to a permanent different language.
I don’t want visitors to choose a translation, but rather use your plugin to completely translate a full site ready to be uploaded to an international domain.
Hi Paul, thanks for asking.
No, this is not how WPML works. WPML does not translate anything automatically. It provides an interface so that you can translate every element of your site. But you do it either by yourself or with the help of other translators (we also have some translation services integrated with WPML, you pay extra for that).
When you configure WPML, you don’t need to choose English as your primary language. It can be any other language.
I’m a little confused about your comment ‘WPML does not translate anything’. Does this mean it is compulsory to have a translator as well when using your plugin.
I thought your plugin was used to translate content without the user being multilingual?
Does your plugin have any way of translating content without seeking the help of a translator?
“I thought your plugin was used to translate content without the user being multilingual?”
No, WPML doesn’t work like this.
” Does this mean it is compulsory to have a translator as well when using your plugin.” If you don’t speak a given language, then yes. You can insert the translations manually if you have these (for example you can copy paste them from a doc a friend sent you). You can also make some of your friends (or other users) translators in your site.
Hi,

I am currently working on a new development site for referit on wordpress that will have the same domain http://www.referit.nl again. The old website on wordpress will be taken down. We bought WPML and installed the plugin on the old wordpress site, can we still use it for the new one?
Hi!
I have created 2 websites on 2 domains.
Could I use one WPML lifetime subscription for these websites? Any limitations on number of websites and domains used?
Hi Tina, yes, you can. Actually you can use your WPML subscription for all of your websites, not just two. (and also for all the websites you build for your customers)
We are very interested in buying the WPML translation plugin.
Before we buy, is it possible to include a language dropdown at the top right or top left hand side of our WP theme page (XSTORE)? next to our social icon themes?
I cannot see the XStrone on the list of themes compatible with WPML. Let me contact developers from our Compatibility Team to check if the XStore theme is compatible with WPML and if it is, what are the options for inserting the language switcher.
I talked to our devs from Compatibility Team. Two news for you:
1. Tt’s possible to add the language switcher in one of those places you are asking about using the predefined widgets in the theme. Actually, it can be added anywhere using shortcodes as shown in this tutorial https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-switcher-options/
2. There were some issues with full compatibility with this theme and we lost contact with the author but in general it should work with WPML.
1. First, pls take a look at the screenshot http://prntscr.com/gt22f9 Once we install WPML we would like the background colour to match the rest of our site (#190510). We have purchased the currency converter and they managed to sort this out for us. Is this something that can be done? also, which package would you recommend we buy?
I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
you mean to style the language switcher? This shouldn’t be a big deal and I guess our supporters should help or they will point you to the right documentation

Can you give me some idea of pricing to have the site translated into Arabic for Saudi Arabia region?
I am ok with the purchase of the product but have no idea the cost of translators.
Hi Don, WPML plugin doesn’t automatically translate your content. If you are looking for a professional translator, please consider using the WPML’s Translation Management module which allows you to send your posts/pages to professional translation services that are integrated with WPML.

Hi Elena,
yes, you can use the Translation Management plugin for that purpose (available in the WPML CMS package). Please read the following documentation pages: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-the-translation-editor/

For multilingual stores WPML works with the WooCommerce plugin and its extensions.

Do you guys have any admin demo for this plugin? Especially for the cms package?

You previous comment was waiting for moderation. I have just replied.
Hello, is possible redirect users to translating pages using their geo information?
Hello, we don’t have this feature. WPML has an option to direct your site’s visitor based on your user’s language set in her browser (this option is available in WPML settings but disabled by default). But we don’t recommend using this option – you might have issues with indexing your website. No, this is not how WPML works. WPML does not translate anything automatically. It provides an interface so that you can translate every element of your site. I’m a little confused about your comment ‘WPML does not translate anything’. Does this mean it is compulsory to have a translator as well when using your plugin.
I thought your plugin was used to translate content without the user being multilingual?
Does your plugin have any way of translating content without seeking the help of a translator?
Sorry, I’m a bit confused now.
Thanks

“I thought your plugin was used to translate content without the user being multilingual?”
No, WPML doesn’t work like this.

You can insert the translations manually if you have these (for example you can copy paste them from a doc a friend sent you). Hi!
I am currently working on a new development site for referit on wordpress that will have the same domain http://www.referit.nl again. The old website on wordpress will be taken down. We bought WPML and installed the plugin on the old wordpress site, can we still use it for the new one?
I hope this makes sense!
Yes, you can. You can use WPML on as many websites as you want.
Hi!
I have created 2 websites on 2 domains.
Could I use one WPML lifetime subscription for these websites? Any limitations on number of websites and domains used?
Thank you.
Hi Tina, yes, you can. Actually you can use your WPML subscription for all of your websites, not just two. (and also for all the websites you build for your customers)
Hi,
We are very interested in buying the WPML translation plugin.
Before we buy, is it possible to include a language dropdown at the top right or top left hand side of our WP theme page (XSTORE)? next to our social icon themes?
http://prntscr.com/goa50j
Or, as per your website, is it easy to add the language flags at the bottom of the site?
Are these easy processes?
Kind Regards, Rik.
Hi Rik,
I cannot see the XStrone on the list of themes compatible with WPML. Let me contact developers from our Compatibility Team to check if the XStore theme is compatible with WPML and if it is, what are the options for inserting the language switcher.
In the meantime please see the following page:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/designing-custom-language-switchers-using-template-files/
If you have some coding skills (you don’t need to be a PHP!) you will be able to design custom language switchers and insert them anywhere you want.
Hi Rik,
I talked to our devs from Compatibility Team.
We have one question we hope you can help with.
Kind Regards, Rik.
Hi Rik, yes, if you have some CSS skills you will be able to style your language switcher to match the rest of your site.
Hi Agnes,
Many thanks.
Before we buy, we may need to ask you what the code is for this, will you be able to help us with this?
Regards, Rik.
you mean to style the language switcher? This shouldn’t be a big deal and I guess our supporters should help or they will point you to the right documentation
HI Agnes,
We have now managed to successfully install the WPML.
We have two issues:
1. Our languages drop down does not work
2. Our WP says the max memory is 40M as per http://prntscr.com/gto9z8
Is it possible to send you our website design on a private link?
Kid Regards, Su.
Hello Suzanne,
I’m sorry to hear you have issues with WPML. Please open a ticket in our support forum.
Dear WPML,
Can you please urgently help.
1. Our languages drop down does not work
2. Our WP admin says the max memory is 40M as per http://prntscr.com/gto9z8
Could you please come back to us urgently as this is preventing our weblaunch.
When you do, can you provide a private content link as we want to keep this conversation strictly confidential.
Hi Suzanne,
please go to our support forum and open a new thread. You need to be logged in to start a new thread. Please scroll down the page support forum page and get started with pressing the “I need help with WPML” button.
I registered for WPML Multilingual CMS for life. Can this be used for more than one website?
I have a new client who requires translation in 2 different Inuit languages – do you provide support for those?
Thanks!
Hi Nathalie,
yes, you can use your subscription for as many websites as you need.
You can add any language to WPML. If the one you need is not supported by default, please add it manually:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
Can you give me some idea of pricing to have the site translated into Arabic for Saudi Arabia region?
I am ok with the purchase of the product but have no idea the cost of translators.
Hi Don, WPML plugin doesn’t automatically translate your content. If you are looking for a professional translator, please consider using the WPML’s Translation Management module which allows you to send your posts/pages to professional translation services that are integrated with WPML.
This page allows you to compare prices.
