I see that there is a one-year fee of $199. If I don’t renew it after one year, will I be unable to continue to use it, or will I be able to continue to use it, but I won’t be able to renew it
Hello, if you don’t renew, you can still use the WPML plugins, your translations will be kept (they are saved in your WordPress database) but you won’t get updates (new versions of our plugins and you won’t be able to open new threads on our support forum).
Hello,
I just received your email that my WPML account renews in a couple of days. Now I am planning to continue using my current site (WordPress), but I will move it to another domain.
How can I make sure that if I choose to renew my subscription, that I can transfer my current WordPress site to another domain in the near future but without being charged an additional subscription.
Hello,
if you want to move your site to another domain, you will need to register it under the new domain because the site registration key is assigned to a specific domain. When you have your subscription active, you can unregister and register sites as many times as you want but with the “Multilingual CMS” type of account (which you have) you can generate maximum 3 keys (meaning, you can have up to 3 production sites registered at the same time).
To remind you, registering/unregistering sites is done in two places: on your WordPress account (https://wpml.org/account/sites/) and on your WordPress site: Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab.

We are working on WP online electronics wholesale site. We have imported a CSV file and want to translate those products, at some we will need re-import a new CSV file. Will all those translated products be updated or will we need to re-translate that new CSV file? will that diminish our credits?
Hello,
I’m not sure if your goal is to use the CSV files to import the products or to import the translations as well. I’m not sure either whether you plan to use automatic translations from WPML or you plan to provide the translations via the CSV file.
To sum up, if you plan to use automatic translations from WPML, the best workflow for you would be to use the CSV files only to upload products but without translations (and then update the products if needed) but translate the products using the “translate automatically” bulk option. When products are updated, you won’t lose your existing translations because to update the translations you would need to run the step for handling the Secondary Language File (https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-all-import-plugin-website-import-with-wpml/).
Does this work with google translate automatically? Last time I tried to use the plugin I was forced to use credits to translate a site when I’d like to simply use google translate and auto translate the whole site. Is this possible? Or does every page have to be translated individually?
Hello,
WPML works with Google Translate via a special API which our developers intergared. This means, we connect with Google Translate under the hood and the end-user simply gets his/her content translated. Yes, you need to use translation credits because translation engines such as Google Translate, DeepL and others are not free and we pay them too (our commission is tiny). You have a few options to translate your pages:
1. Translate everything – it will translate all of your pages at once
2. Translate some
a) you can open individual pages and apply automatic translation by clicking a button
b) you can select the pages you want to translate and translate them automatically in bulk (all selected at once)
Yes, you can use your credit card. On the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it.
Yes, to pay by credit card please select “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button on the checkout page).
Hi,
I want to be sure that wpml supports wcfm ultimate with no issues before purchasing.
the most important thing for me is the bulk products import by the vendor from its frontend dashboard when he wants to translate its products by uploading (importing) a translation csv file of his products.
Thank you
Could you please explain what you mean by saying “when he (the vendor) wants to translate its products by uploading (importing) a translation csv file of his products?” How would you like this process to look like and what to achieve?
Hi guys, I had a WPML account the last year for my website. The renewal payment has failed and I see this right now (1 month later). Can I still extend with the renewal price of 59% ex VAT?
Hello, if you were supposed to renew a month ago, we cannot simply set your discount because of some technical limitations but you can purchase at the normal price and we will refund you the difference. Please send us an email about your case via this form: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ and provide us the email address of your WPML account. Your form submission will go directly to the person who handles such cases. Thank you.
Dear support, I had a WPML account the last year for my website. The renewal payment has failed and I see this right now (1 month later). Can I still extend with the renewal price of 59% ex VAT?
Hi,
thank you for your reply,
I am not able to reply to your comment about wcfm ultimate plugin so i do it here.
wcfm marketplace is a multi-vendor woocomerce allowing to many vendors to create their store throught the wcfm plugin (frontend). the ultimate version (paid version) allow to these vendors to bulk import their products by importing a csv file containing details of all their products (some hundreds or thounseds items). vendor usually initiate his store by importing products in the primary language of the website. then he upload another csv file with the products details translated. (like the wp all import did in the admin area) but in this case with multivendor, the bulk import is managed on front end by wcfm ultimate plugin.
I tried to do this one year ago but it makes 2 products sets one for each language without product language sync . i.e. product in 2nd language is not linked to the same product in the other language.
I left the project in a standby mode since last year but I read somewhere that since july 2021 you built an exclusive extension for wcfm ultimate to fully support that plugin. Is this info right? and if yes did you test it with the import products feature. Thank you
Hey there,
We haven’t released a WCFM glue plugin so far, however we are working actively with the plugin team in order to make it fully compatible with WPML as there are still some issues open.
In that case, I would recommend you to test during the 30 days trial period if you can achieve what your project requires with WPML.

Hello, I need your translation tool for two wordpress websites (2 company business websites)
Which offer is the right one? The middle offer for 99USD? https://wpml.org/purchase/
Hello Marcia,
Multilingual CMS allows you to use WPML in three production sites but since many of our clients want to test WPML in a testing/staging environment we allow you to register 9 extra sites. These sites will have a special banner displayed on the backend on your site saying that it is a development site.
If you don’t renew WPML you won’t be able to install it on new site after the first year because to finish your setup you need to enter a registration key. But if you use WPML on existing sites, these existing sites will continue working even if you don’t renew your WPML subscription.
Hello,
we are compatible with the Newspaper by tagDiv theme and it’s one of the themes is we recommend: https://wpml.org/theme/newspaper/
$99 is the price for the WPML plugins and access to our support for the first year. After the first year, you will get a discount.
To use automatic translations you will need translation credits. 90 000 credits will be included in your package but to translate 1 647 398 words you will need 3 294 796 credits (if you select Google as your translation engine. Using DeepL is more expensive) which costs around $960.
Hello,
we don’t provide a free demo but you can buy WPML keeping our refund policy in mind, which allows you to test it for 30 days. https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
You can also summarize some of your doubts and we will try to answer your specific questions.
I recently migrated a client’s website to a new hosting platform. The previous developers are no longer involved and the client was using a couple WPML plugins. The former account is not accessible by us so a new account most likely needs to be setup since we will need some additional translations in the next few weeks.
I am confused by the pricing. On the purchase page it states that “Account renewals cost 75% of the original price” but when we click “Extend our subscription” in WordPress it leads to a WPML web page that states the charge is $39 and that yearly renewals cost $39. Which is it?
Finally, we currently have the WPML Media, WPML Multilingual CMS and WPML String Translation plugins installed. Does the $39 support those additional plugins? If we need to upgrade to the $99 annual plan that option is not selectable when we are redirected to https://wpml.org/checkout/ from our WordPress dashboard. I also want to confirm if we do need the $99 plan will it renew with a 75% discount?
Hello Tim,
The option to purchase for 39$ is because WPML is already installed on the site.
This is a different subscription type called end-user, which allows you receve updates and support for the registered url only. It gives you access to all plugins.
More info here https://wpml.org/purchase/transferring-account-renewals-to-your-clients/
We’re trying to find out the contact in our company who originally purchased our license so that we can contact them to get it renewed. Is there someone we can contact in order to do that?
I am developing a new site for my company and I am considering your plugin. I am wondering if there’s any way to try the plugin first before I subscribe. I am aware about your 30 days money back policy, but the thing is that I just want to know for myself and show my employer how it looks and feels before we pay for it. And then we are launching the new site later this year so all we need now is just a trial. Would that be possible to arrange?
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. We don’t have a free demo and buying it and testing it while keeping our refund policy in mind is the only way to test it. Can you tell me what you are interested in the most? Maybe I can help in some other ways.
I am in charge of creating an animal shelter website in Spain. This will require the site to be multi-lingual and the theme chosen is CMSMasters Whiskers theme which states it is compatible with WPML. The theme lists animals as projects however this list is created from an API that runs daily as the animals change on a regular basis. If I was to purchase WPML to install my concern is that the animals would not appear in the other languages, as I would need the data for each animal to remain the same as it is impossible to translate them individually as there are over 700 animals. As the records are pulled in as projects is there any way WPML can be setup to duplicate the records into the original language and display properly. My concern is that I will buy it, install it and this operation will leave the animal page blank as the data could not be automatically set to duplicate the projects.
I have looked at other language options for WordPress and these too ran into this problem and I fear WPML will not be any different.

Hello,
I’m not sure if your goal is to use the CSV files to import the products or to import the translations as well. I’m not sure either whether you plan to use automatic translations from WPML or you plan to provide the translations via the CSV file.
Let me explain the options you have.
To import post and pages along with translations you need the WP All Import plugin and two WPML plugins: WPML core plugin and the WPML All Import add-on plugin (available from your WPML account Downloads) page. But to import products you need a special add-on: WooCommerce Import Add-On Pro. This is all explained in: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-all-import-plugin-website-import-with-wpml/
If you want to use automatic translations for products, it doesn’t make sense to import the translations from the CVS file but the best option would be to apply automatic translation in WPML using the so-called “bulk” option which is explained here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatically-translating-multiple-translation-jobs-in-bulk/#translating-jobs-in-bulk-automatically

Hello Atul,
WPML and Divi work wel together and we constantly maintain the compatibility

Yes, there is a way to duplicate posts or pages in other languages – please check this post for details: https://wpml.org/changelog/2017/11/wpml-3-9-beta-makes-content-duplication-a-thing-of-the-past/ and let me know if this is something you need. Please take a look at the image: https://cdn.wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/post-type-translation.jpg and the middle option.
Also, if needed, you can manually select pages/posts (posts based on custom post types) and “duplicate” them using the “bulk” duplicate option.
