Hello,
I have checked your WPML subscription and indeed you have only 2 websites registered. You should be able to register the 3rd site without any problems. Please make sure you are registering it as follows:
0. Make sure you are logged into your WPML account but don’t do anything else there for now.
1. Go to your WordPress site (the one you want to register)
2. Make sure your have the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin active
3. Please go to Plugins > Add new > switch to the Commercial tab
4. If you see “WPML is registered on this site.” it means everything is okay and your site is properly registerd.
5. If your site is not registered yet, click on the Register link
It will show you an input field to enter your Site key. Please click on the link below the input field “Get a key for this site”.
You will go to your wpml.org account and a new key will be generated for you.
Grab the key and paste it into your WordPress site.
If for any reason these steps don’t work, please open a support ticket on our forum. https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/ and then click Report a new issue
and we will take a closer look.
i cannot do 1th, because om my downloads i see:
“Your WPML account has expired.
Without updates from WPML, you risk breaking your sites with future WordPress updates.”
So i cannot download WPML.
I have a website which serves as a German language. I also have an English one.
If I use the WPML, can I send users to different domains by their languages?
For example:
the mygermanwebsite.com
and other
myenglishwebsite.com
You are right if you plan to use subfolders it won’t look good if you keep co.uk domain but even if you keep it this way, it shouldn’t affect your traffic. What matters for Google are the hreflangs, the quality of translations and the fact that the translations are using different URLs (all this is supported by WPML)
You can also consider assigning different domains for languages instead of using subfolders.
Hello, before purchasing I wanted to have some details:
– can we “personalize” the flags on the site for translation?
– are the translations done on the other pages of my site? will each translation create a dedicated page?
– for SEO how does it work?
– Can we correct the translation of an article if the translation is poorly done?
– Is it difficult to integrate the plugin into WordPress?
Thank you
Rafal
Hello,
If you don’t renew you will lose updates and support but the translation will remain on your site.

I want to buy this theme as well as WPML Multilingual CMS solution for this site, because i need 2 languages.
1. Macedonian language (as default)
2. English language
However before i buy i need to you to confirm the following:
Can you please confirm that with paid version of WPML plugin (Multilingual CMS) i can change everything on Macedonian and English language as well? Including the post types (properties, agents.. etc) as well as login dashboard (add properties, my profile, inbox.. etc).
Hello Nikola,
Yes, WPML and WPResidence are fully compatible and you will be able to translate all content.
Check this guide https://wpml.org/theme/wpresidence/
I tried to download my plugins but I cannot see them at my download page. My subscription has expired but still I want to be able to re-download (my old versions) of my plugins. How do I do that?
Hello Aristotelis,
I am afraid you cannot download or register WPML on any sites without an active subscription.
More details here https://wpml.org/purchase/wpml-renewal/
Hello, I want to ask again about the Multilingual CMS package. There is explains that the package includes 3 productions and 9 developments, can you explain what this means? Is it 3 websites or 9 websites?
Hello,
thanks for your interest in WPML. Sure, let me explain. When you are generating a license key, you do it for a specific website. When doing so, you will be asked if you want to register this site as a production or as a development site. So in theory you can register up to 12 sites (3 + 9) which will allow you to use WPML also on your development/staging/testing sites. The sites registered as development will have a banner added to your site’s footer saying “it’s a development” site. Of course, at any time you can unregister the development site and register it as a production one (and vice versa) but you need to stick to the 3 + 9 sites in total.
Hello,
Is it possible to negotiate the rates if I buy credits for automatic translations :
I would need, 1 400 000 words for 5 600 € approximately it is the price that I used to have at Smarcat, but their tool is no longer compatible with WPML and my website configuration.
Yes, updates are paid. The purpose here is to encourage clients to use the most recent version of WPML to ensure compatibility with the recent WP releases and avoid issues with old versions of WPML. If you don’t need a subscription, you can buy WPML and then cancel automatic renewal.
Again, THERE IS NO OTHER OPTIONS then to pay with a Paypal account or to create a new account, and we are located in Canada. To answer your question, NO, there is no “Use a different payment method” link (located under the orange Place Order button). Please be aware that I am an ecommerce expert. Can someone from your support team contact me directly to resolve this question or else we will have to install Polylang.
Hello,
Thank you for the details. If you are in Canada, indeed, we you are experiencing seems abnormal. You can also try another browser or you can contact us directly regarding this matter by using this form.

What Happens If You Don’t Renew
If you don’t renew your subscription after a year, you can still log into your account, however, you will:

1. WPML support wp 4.5.17 and php 7.4?. if i not upgrade wp version.
2. my site already have 13,000 posts, 20 categories and 10,000 tags. I want to add other language (2-5 languages) WPML’s Automatic Translation can help? are you sure about bulk translation?
Hello,
1. We require your site to use the latest version of WordPress and WPML (please check the minimal requirements here). When you test WPML with each WordPress release, there are always some things we need to adjust, sometimes minor, sometimes bigger but there is always something. You can use WP 4.5.17 but in case of any issues with WPML, our support will help you to upgrade your WordPress to the most recent version.
2. 13,000 of posts is a lot and if you add 2-5 languages, for sure you the 90 000 of translation credit you will get when purchasing WPML will not suffice. You will need to buy some extra credits (please check your options here). Here’s what I recommend in your case:
1. When setting up WPML, please choose only one or two languages (you will add more languages later)
2. Please select “Let me Choose what to Translate” mode (don’t select “Translate everything)
3. Please go to WPML > Translation Management and translate only a few pages and a few post (you can select them in bulk and choose “translate automatically”).
4. Check your site’s front-end to see how these pages have been translated
5. If everything is your find and you don’t have any other issues, apply automatic translation to other posts.
6. You can also go to WPML > Translation Management > Tools to monitor how many credits have been used.
Hello Steve,

I want to start my freelancing services for website localization the agency package mentions unlimited websites. To my understanding I will be able to use my license for all my client’s websites for translation?
2. The package comes with 180,000 credits so that means I can use 90000 words after that do I have to purchase “pay as you go” for more credits?
3. When I am renewing do I pay the difference of the credits from 180,000 credits and if one of my clients does not want to have any changes in future do I still have to pay for his credits since he is under my license or there is a way to remove his website so I don’t have to use my credits for renewing his website?
4.Does the 180000 credit expire when renewing or the reminder from previous year will add on to the new credits?
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
1. Yes, you can use your license for all your clients’ websites.
For each of the website you have two options:
a) you can assign the so-called pre-paid credits or some (or all) of the credits you will get in the package.
b) you can provide your card or the card of your client (this is done from within the WordPress admin, WPML > Translation Management > Tools) to sign up for Pay-as-you-go
2. Using the “Pay as you go” is one of your options. Buying pre-paid credits is another one. Both are described in detail here.
3. No, not really. Let me explain how it works. When you buy WPML, the 180 000 credits are assign to your wpm.org. When you register a site and generate a WPML license key you can also assign some of these credits to that site, say, you select 50 000 for site A. You can assign 40 000 for site B. In this case, your wpml.org will have 90 000 credits (180 000 – 50 000 – 40 000). If you get new credits after the first year (when you renew your WPML account), sites A and B won’t have access to these credits because these credits belong to your wpml.org account and no new credits have not been assigned by you to any of these sites.
If you use the Pay as you go option, this works differently. It will use credits on the fly when they are needed for translation and the person who provided their credit card for that WordPres site will be charged. This credit card for Pay as you go can be a totally different card and have nothing to do with the card you use to buy WPML.
To sum up, you don’t need to use your card for the client’s site.
4. No, they won’t expire but after the first year we don’t add you new credits but we will refill your wppml.org up to 120,000 credits. So in the case I described above, when you had 90 000 credits after the first year, you will get 30 000 (90 000 + 30 000 = 120 000)

Yes, you can use different domains for languages but this kind of setup needs to be configured according to these guidelines.
Hi,
We would like to translate our WordPress website in multiple languages, WPML seems a good fit for us.
We would like to use subfolders for translations.
We currently we use a .co.uk domain – would you suggest moving to a .com address ?
Thanks
You are right if you plan to use subfolders it won’t look good if you keep co.uk domain but even if you keep it this way, it shouldn’t affect your traffic. What matters for Google are the hreflangs, the quality of translations and the fact that the translations are using different URLs (all this is supported by WPML)
You can also consider assigning different domains for languages instead of using subfolders.

Hello Rafal,
See my replies below:
– can we “personalize” the flags on the site for translation?
Yes, you can use custom flags https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-switcher-options/custom-language-flags/
– are the translations done on the other pages of my site? will each translation create a dedicated page?
Yes, WPML takes care of creating a new page per language. You can read more about this here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/
– for SEO how does it work?
See here https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-seo/
– Can we correct the translation of an article if the translation is poorly done?
Yes, https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-review-automatic-translations-on-your-site/
– Is it difficult to integrate the plugin into WordPress?
No, check our Installing and Configuring guide

according to our calculator you will pay €837.00 EUR when translating 1 400 000 words (with DeepL or Google) to 1 language.

Sí, también puedes editar el slug con el paquete del blog; en este caso no necesitas cambiar la configuración.
We are researching translation options for our websites. Can WPML recognize a visitor’s preferred language (based on IP)? Thank you!
WPML can recognize the language based on the user browser, please read more about this here.
So it’s very annoying, just to add one site I have to pay 99€ a second time to add 1 site, it’s robbery!

Hello,
We don’t charge per language, but per translated word.
If you have the word count, please calculate the amount of words per translated language and then check here https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/

I need to buy enough credit for 1 400 000 words. Is it cheaper to do it by buying prepaid credits?
Hello,
no, it won’t be cheaper because pre-paid credits are more expensive than the Pay-as-you-go option.
