Hello.
1.If I want to create my site circusfiesta.es, it is posible to have traduction to portuguese with the domain circusfiesta.pt, and french circusfiesta.fr? I have to buy this domains, and connect to your plugin?
2. or I have to put this circusfiesta.es/pt for Portugal or circusfiesta.es/pt for france?
Hello Laura,
Both options are possible. If you want to have different domains, you need to buy them in the same service and then set up your WPML accordingly.
Otherwise, you can also use the languages per directory option as you mentioned.
I hope it helps,
Andrés
I am on the way to create a customers website with betheme (beBuilder). The site will be multilingual (german/english) and I do have some questions regarding WPML:
– Is it enough to by the “Multilingual Blog” licence?
– It is written that updates will be one year included. What will happen after? Do we have to buy the licence each year again?
– I do not need any translation options. The customer will translate it himself. We do only need the menu option to switch from german to english.
Hello Adriana,
1. Is it enough to buy the “Multilingual Blog” licence?
We recommend using the Multilingual CMS package for beTheme. If you use the Blog package you will need to maintain two copies of each page: in German and in English, which means, if you update the layout in your original language (e.g. you change the order of elements, add/remove some etc), you need to do the same change in the layout of other language because those two pages won’t be synchronised if you use the Blog package. If this is something okay for you, you can try the Blog package keeping this limitation in mind.
2. Renewals are optional. When you buy WPML, an automatic renewal will be set up but you can go to your WPML account and turn these off as explained here: https://wpml.org/faq/can-i-switch-from-automatic-to-manual-renewals-for-wpml/
If you don’t renew you won’t be able to update WPML to new version but the one you have will continue working (of course we cannot anticipate what will happen if you update your WordPress version in the future and won’t update WPML)
3. If you use a regular menu created in Appearance > Menu, it will work with the Blog package.
You can also upgrade from the Blog to the CMS package later for the difference in the purchase price.
I´m setting my store and I installed your plugin to see how the multicurrency works in my store, and the issue that I have is that when I try to edit the currency preview and I set rounding to the nearest integer, it doesn´t work. I tried setting different options but non of them worked. Can you help me?
Thank you

Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. We don’t provide a free demo but our refund policy allows you to buy WPML and test it for 30 days without risking your money. We will refund any order requested within the 30 days after the purchase price. You can buy the CMS package and upgrade to the Agency package at any time by the difference in the purchase price.
Currently, the website resides on another domain. When it’s ready, we intend to transfer the website to our main domain. If I purchase a license to work on the staging website, how can I subsequently transfer the license to our main website? Additionally, with the Multilingual Blog license, will it also allow for setting translated pages in the form of permalinks, such as example.com and example.com?lang=ar? Moreover, does the Multilingual Blog license enable the manual translation of an unlimited number of pages?
You can start translating your website with a development license and, once you have move it to the main domain, convert this one into a production license. Also, you can just delete your development license and make a new one for the production website.
And yes, you can translate your pages in a permalink format with a Multilingual Blog and use manual translation as you need. Just keep in mind that this license doesn’t help for translating custom fields, strings, WooCommerce or other features, it is design just for translating blogs.
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. The Multilingual Agency package allows you to use WPML on an unlimited number of websites. Feel free to ask your further questions here or you can also use this form if there is anything you would like to keep private.
We are interested in moving from Polylang to WPML. Our website currently offers two languages (and might add 3 languages in the future -> in total 5 languages).
May I ask you the following questions?
1) Is it possible to use the same 1x license for the production (e.g. http://www.example.com) and also for the staging/testing domain (in our case test.example.com)?
3) We are using at the moment “Elementor Pro” and are in the process of using “The event calendar Pro”, “MemberPress”, “Brevo” (email services) and a plugin to enable forums (not decided which plugin). Would the WPML package “Multilingual Blog” be enough to support these plugins (because we don’t need to manage external translators or need machine translation, because the website content is 90% static)?
Hello Eric,
Thank you for your interest in WPML.
1) The Blog package allows you to register 4 websites: 1 production and 3 development websites. Development websites will have a banner added to your site footer saying it’s a development site. This way our clients can register additional staging/testing domains.
The CMS package allows you to register 12 websites: 3 production and 9 development websites.
2) The plugin is not actively maintained but the version from the github allows you to migrate the regular pages/posts.
3) No, the Multilingual Blog won’t be support these plugins because translating “Elementor Pro” and “The event calendar Pro” requires using the WPML String Translation plugin which is not included in the Blog package. You would need to buy the CMS package. “MemberPress”, “Brevo” haven’t been tested by our Compatibility Team and we cannot ensure full compatibility with those.
I am currently using a plug-in from another vendor to translate free websites. The plugin works on the principle of page in language 1 + page in language 2. I am planning to expand it with WooCommerce add-ons, but I would like to switch to your plugin. Is there any way to efficiently transfer translations to WPML? Will it still be possible to use old-style widgets? Will the multicurrency plugin work properly after purchasing the pro version for PLN 99?
Hello,
the only migration plugin we provide allows to to migrate posts and pages from Polylang. In all other cases you need to retranslate everything using WPML.
If by “multicurrency plugin” you mean this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/ yes, it will work.
GOOD MORNING, I want to purchase your plugin, I wanted to know if it is compatible with my WP theme, modus, or I might have problems, if so what kind??
Thank you
BUONGIORNO, voleco acquistare il vs plugin, volevo sapere se con ilmio thema wp, modus, e compatibile o potrei avere dei problemi, se si di che tipo??

Hello,
I would like to purchase the Multilingual CMS module, but I would like to know if it is suitable for my needs, the situation is the following, for an online store with woocommerce made in Romanian, it needs to be translated into English for U.K., and I need that:
1. The site with prices in lei in Romania, not to be accessed by those in England with prices in pounds and vice versa.
2. I am interested in the Romanian product having a sku code and the UK product having a different sku code.
Example:
– For Product 1 sold in Romania -> sku =1234
– For Product 1 sold in U.K. -> sku =5678
Hello, I’m willing to purchase the plugin, but I have a question regarding Woocommerce products translate, Do you offer a bulk translate of products? or an Import/Export feature so when we import bulk products we can also add the translate in the file before import? We want to have only 1 product for both languages but different product name in the second language.
Hello! We are interested in the enterprise plan because we have a number of locations needing multilingual sites. I am worried that even with 180,000 credits, we will soon exceed the allotment.
I assume that the translation credit is used per word, per language. So, if we have four official languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese), each time we translate a word into our other 3 languages, it will use 3 credits (if we use Azure) or 6 credits (if we use deepl or google). Is this correct?
What happens if we exceed the 180,000 credits? Do you offer plans with unlimited credits?
Hello,
everything you translate is saved into the translation memory so if you translate the same phrases again, you don’t need to use credits because the translation will be pulled from the translation memory. This calculator will help you estimate the cost of your translation: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#calculate-your-cost (please expand the section entitled How much does automatic translation cost?)
As explained on this page you can buy extra credits or sign up for Pay-as-you-go.
No, we don’t offer unlimited credits but if you use the Pay-as-you-go option you will pay for the credits that you used.
I was hoping you could help provide me with some more information on your platform. I looked at your website, but could not find a lot of security / compliance information:
Do you have any security white papers?
Do you have a SOC2 report?

I only have pages in Latvian – all these pages are also translated into ru and en using this plugin, BUT..

English version: domain.com/en/world
Russian version: domain.com/ru/mir
The problem is that I can visit both the EN and RU version pages with the name of the Latvian language page in the link: domain.com/en/pasaule even though the link has the prefix of the relevant language.
I hope you understood the idea – I’m interested in whether your plugin doesn’t have such a problem that creates – you could even say, a duplicate.
Hello,
I’m not sure I understood your issue. Let me explain how WPML works because it might help. When WPML translates pages it creates a new page in your WordPress site but in another language. For example, when you have this page: domain.com/pasaule and you translate it to Russian and English, two new pages will be created by WPML in your WordPress: world and mir and they will be available for the visitors as:
domain.com/en/world
domain.com/ru/mir
It means that if you delete the WPML plugin without deleting the translations, you will still see these 3 pages in your WordPress but without WPML being active, they will appear like this:

These are normal WordPress pages.
Hello Jakub,
I’m afraid that it totally depends on your hosting providers. Our recommendation is checking if that setup is possible with them during the 30 days trial period and make a consideration from that point.
I hope it helps.
I like to know if how to purchase pro version of multi currency. if this can work with marketplace plugin like dokan. can I know If I can use different payment gateways for different currencies. example USD with stripe, INR with razor pay?
It is possible to set specific payment gateways for each of your site’s currencies. You may find this helpful if, for example:
Your store uses direct bank transfers and you want to use local bank accounts for each currency.
Your store uses PayPal and you want to set up different PayPal accounts for each currency.
2. You asked ” i also like to bulk-update pricing for currency. do you have that feature?”
Answer: Product pricing is more a Woocommerce feature. You would need an additional plugin like “YITH WooCommerce Bulk Product Editing Premium” to be able to do bulk pricing. I can see that for this particular plugin, when you bulk update a price in the primary currency, our WCML plugin will update the second currencies automatically on saving the updated price.
So the short answer is: it depends on the plugin that you select for doing bulk pricing updates. If it is compatible with WPML/WCML like “YITH WooCommerce Bulk Product Editing Premium” is, then the second currencies will also be bulk updated.
When you install WPML CMS, you will be prompted to associate the site URL with a sitekey from your WPML.org account. If you have purchased a Blog license/subscription, then you can have 1 production and 3 development sites. With the CMS license/subscription you can have 3 production and 9 development sites.
All sitekeys are associated with the same WPML Blog or WPML CMS subscription.
While W3 Total Cache is not listed, it is considered “compatible” with some known issues (see: section on Known Issues) https://wpml.org/plugin/w3-total-cache/
You asked: “The price doesn’t seems to update when I browse from different country when I use the cache.”
Answer:
Do you mean that the price is not displaying (on the frontend) properly when you browse from a different country and W3Total Cache is used? How are you testing this? Does the pricing appear correctly when you visit the site from the “different” country first before any values in the caching are set?
It is actually expected that when a page is cached with plugin that is not fully compatible with WCML the Multi currency features might not always work unless you don’t cache the pages using WCML related cookies.

Hello,
I would like to ask, we want to settup multilangue site with different domain per language, I found documentation about that here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/
We have our domains in two separate hosting providers. In the documentation it says, that it should be possible, but there is no documentation how to do it. Can you please confirm, that is possible?
Hello Jakub,
I’m afraid that it totally depends on your hosting providers. Our recommendation is checking if that setup is possible with them during the 30 days trial period and make a consideration from that point.
I hope it helps.
I like to know if how to purchase pro version of multi currency. if this can work with marketplace plugin like dokan. can I know If I can use different payment gateways for different currencies. example USD with stripe, INR with razor pay?

I am looking at WPML for a customer website, can I buy 1 license for investigation and testing and then upgrade to agency later on
Hello Glyn,
Yes, you can start with the Blog version, then upgrade to CMS first and then to Agency.
Best regards
can i use each currency different payment gateway? i also like to bulk-update pricing for currency. do you have that feature?
Hello
1. You asked: “can i use each currency different payment gateway?”
Answer:
Please review our documentation on our plugin: WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency
It is possible to set specific payment gateways for each of your site’s currencies. You may find this helpful if, for example:
2. You asked ” i also like to bulk-update pricing for currency. do you have that feature?”
Answer: Product pricing is more a Woocommerce feature. You would need an additional plugin like “YITH WooCommerce Bulk Product Editing Premium” to be able to do bulk pricing. I hope I have been able to address your concerns.
Can I use the same license in the staging site and the production site ?
MAny thanks
Glyn
Hello
Do you mean “sitekey” or “subscription account”?
When you install WPML CMS, you will be prompted to associate the site URL with a sitekey from your WPML.org account. If you have purchased a Blog license/subscription, then you can have 1 production and 3 development sites. With the CMS license/subscription you can have 3 production and 9 development sites.
All sitekeys are associated with the same WPML Blog or WPML CMS subscription.
For understanding the difference between production and development sites and how to migrate from one to other, please refer to this article:

is this compatible with W3Total Cache. The price doesn’t seems to update when I browse from different country when I use the cache.
Hello
You asked: “is this compatible with W3Total Cache.”
Answer:
You can consult the list of tested compatible and recommended plugins here: https://wpml.org/plugin/
And for caching in particular here: https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/caching/
While W3 Total Cache is not listed, it is considered “compatible” with some known issues (see: section on Known Issues)

If so please read these errata that can give you more insight to some possible issues and their workarounds:

https://wpml.org/errata/caching-plugins-may-cause-issues-with-wcml-multi-currency-settings/
It is actually expected that when a page is cached with plugin that is not fully compatible with WCML the Multi currency features might not always work unless you don’t cache the pages using WCML related cookies.

I hope this addresses your concern.
