Hi, I’m having problems translating my website, actually everything is translated, the problem I’m having is within the logged in user account, here many of the links within the dashboard (in spanish, the second language) revert to English (main language), it’s very frustrating. I am currently using polylang pro, but would like to give WPML a go….The problem is I’ve already paid for polylang, so would like to try WPML, however should it not work will I be able to get a refund…I have a feeling the problem I have is with the theme?

yes, this is support by WPML and you don’t need to write every blog post on a default language before you can translate the post. You can create your posts in non-primary language as well without them having their counterpart in the primary language.
To translate your images you will need the WPML Media plugin which not available in the Multilingual Blog version, so you would need to but the Multilingual CMS package.
Hello, I have a customer want to use your PLugin Currencies and needs to use a POS system, however I see that most of the available plugins do not accept multiple currencies and multiple boxes (this customer receives in euros, reais, dollars) and needs to control the receivables of these 3 coins. Hello, the native language of my website in Spanish. What I look for is each customer which lands on my website can see it displayed on English with no necessity of my intervention. I would like to know if this plugin allows me to create a sub-directory with all my items translated to English or simply it will detect the native language of the visitor and will display my website in English if the visitor has a native language different from Spanish.
The idea is, I believe, to show a website in another language without modifying the original language for not to lose the public that speaks Spanish in my case.

You will see that each of those sites has a language switcher where the visitor can change the language and see the site in another language(s).
What the Loco Translation plugin does is providing a way to translate the strings from your theme/plugins to another language while the site itself remains available in one language for the visitor.
WPML allows you to load the “po” files as well and then provide your translations but if you don’t need to turn your site into a multilingual one, using WPML would be an overkill.

yes, WPML can help here because it allows you to add more languages to your site, which will be available for your visitors via the languages switcher and you can provide your own translations. You are mentioning the contact form. I’m not sure how you added your contact form to your site: does it come from your theme or a plugin? What is the name of the plugin? My point is, that this theme/plugin needs to be compatible with WPML so that you don’t have any issues with handling this form with WPML.
Ah, best would be to buy the Multilingual CMS package but you can also start with the Blog package and upgrade to the CMS later. But the Blog package is for very simple sites like blogs.

I’m afraid that it is no possible to access to the forum with your Multilingual Agency if it has expired. However, your license for your site https://www.splitoutdooradventure.com/ is still valid, that means that you used a different account for that site which is still valid.
In that case, please register with the WPML account you used for registering your site and:
– Create a new WPML and upgrade your plugin or,
– Manually upgrade your WPML from https://wpml.org/account/downloads/.
– Or open a ticket in our forum as we we don’t have the tools to help you here.
Regarding the error, you are trying to upload a new version of WPML but you already have one installed. Please access through your FTP and remove the previous one and upload the newest version available.

WPML brings by default a redirection functionality. However, it works when there is a match between your user’s browser language and your site language. You can find more information about it here:

You can also consider to user another extension as “123 WPML Redirect Based IP Country” if you are looking for something more specific.

Yes, but you would need to import the .po file. So you need to export your pot file into po first and then you can import it to WPML. Please read more about it
