  1. Hello,

I am wondering if this is the right plugin for a big woocommerce store with over 10.000 products, 8 languages and 5 currencies. Visits monthly of the shop are about 100k.

Can it handle this amount of data or is it not the right setup for WPML?
Do you have any recommendations to handle this or just don’t?
Since we want to seo-optimize for mobile devices aswell we need fast loading times.

    Thank you,
    Matt

  2. Hello team,

I am here to purchase the plugin.

But before that. I have some questions.

    1. I want French (Primary), English and Portugese. Is this something can be achieved?

    2. Do you provide any service of translation so that your team can translate that on my site?

    3. Will it work with WooCommerce too?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you.

    • Hello, thank you for your interest in WPML>

      1. Yes, your setup can be achieved.
      2. Yes, when you install the WPML Translation Management plugin (it’s available in the Multilingual CMS package) you can send your WordPress content to one of the external translation services we are integrated with (you do everything from within your WordPress backend). Here are those services: https://wpml.org/translation-service/ You can also use machine translations, which you can then correct/update. We are integrated with Microsoft Azure and Google at the moment. DeepL is coming.
      3. Yes, we are fully integrated with Woocommerce.

  3. Thank you for the fast reply.
What do you consider a fast host? I have seen your recommendation list with siteground at top. That’s okay. But what are the estimated costs for a site like the one I described above?

  4. Hi,

I want to tranlate my site, and I have been told that WPML is the way to go.

I use Themeco’s Pro theme, and I’m a bit unsure about which version of WPML I need – the $29 version or the $79?

    • Hello Christian,
what’s the exact name of your theme? Is it https://wpml.org/theme/trendz/?

Anyway, here: https://wpml.org/theme/ you can see all themes compatible with WPML tested by our Compatibility Team. You would need the CMS ($79) version to be able to translate all your theme options in WPML.

If you cannot find WPML on that list, your theme will work with WPML but you might have some issues with translating some non-standard theme options/elements. In this case, you would need to test it yourself keeping our refund policy in mind: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/

  5. Hello Agnes,

thank you for your replay, but it does not answer my question. I am a bit frustrated now because I would like to know based on your experience as WPML developers what the estimated costs would be like.
Because that is to consider aswell for the project costs in long-term. Otherwise I would even look for another e-commerce solution like the ressource-intense magento, if the hosting costs are more or less the same. I would be very happy if you could tell me the estimated costs based on your year long experience. Thank you already in advance.

    • Hello Matt,
sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience. You are the first one who asked me about the fastest hosting in pre-sales questions and I needed to consult my reply with other people from our company. They recommend these 3: Kinsta, Cloudways and Siteground but they say that the speed depends on many factors so there is never one definite answer/recommendation. I hope it helps.

  6. Hi

A client of mine is a non-profit organization.

I remember that you had a special program for them but cannot find anything on the website. Can you tell me if you still have it and what’s the process?

  7. Hi,
We want to make sure that our local language is supported by wpml.
This language is Amharic, country is Ethiopia, code is Am.

  8. Hello,

We are working on a new WordPress website (blog). We are going to work with a subdomain http://www.blog.brand.com.

We are located in Belgium and in Belgium there are two main languaqes French and Dutch.

But we are growing fast in France (French) and Netherland (Dutch = Netherlands = nl) and this is going to continue.

If I understood it well, if we use WPML, WPML is going to implement the hreflang tag for us, right? WPML is going to that based on the languages we choose, right?

If we only use two languages nl-be (Dutch in Belgium) and fr-be (French in Belgium) than we will not be strong on SEO for France and Netherland, right? Because the hreflang will say to Google ‘hi we want to reach dutch and french people in Belgium’.

So if i’m right we have to use 4 languages, right? fr-be, nl-be, nl-nl and fr-fr. Like this the hreflang tag will say to Google that we want to be found in France, Belgium and Netherland.

If we choose for four languages. Are our urls going to look like like this?
    http://www.blog.site.com/be-nl
    http://www.blog.site.com/be-fr
    http://www.blog.site.com/nl-nl
    http://www.blog.site.com/fr-fr

Can we indicate in WPML that we want to work with French global (Belgium, France, and other countries where they speak French) and dutch global (Belgium, Netherland and other countries where they speak Dutch)? What is the best choice in our case? Going for four languages or going for global FR and Dutch (if that is possible wit hWPML)?

Looking forward to receive your answer 😀

    • Hello Charles,

Indeed, when you use WPML, it would implement automatically the hreflang tags per language. You can disable this option, but it is not recommended, as you can imagine, for SEO purposes.
      https://wpml.org/documentation/support/adding-hreflang-wordpress/

So, if you want to make it simple, you can just install Dutch and French, in that way your visitors could visit your site accordingly. However, if you are planning to do a SEO work and target local markets, it would be better to implement the 4 languages with their hreflang tags. You have to keep in mind that it would imply more maintenance work.

On the other hand, your visitors will have always the possibility to choose their language. However, you may consider to implement a browser redirection as explained in the following tutorial, in that way, they will be redirected according to their browser language:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/

      I hope it helps.

      Regards,
      Andrés

    • Hello Vladislav,
I can see that you successfully completed your order. If you need anything else related to pre-sales questions/orders, please let me know.

  9. yes… I did send the payment, but used the wrong currency debit card… can you make a refund and I can pay through another usd debit card? If it is possible… thank you for your work!

  10. Dear WPLM team,

As I understand Deepl is coming.. Very good news. Is it possible to say when this will be? Because of the GDPR my client only wants an European API integrated in the website.

Another question: As I understand Microsoft Azure is integrated in the software. Is that something I can turn off?

    Wishing you well,
    Marianne

    • Hello, Microsoft Azure is disabled by default. You need to manually configure WPML to tell it to use Microsoft Azure. The default is to allow you to provide your translations.

    • I cannot provide you any dates when DeepL will be integrated. Please observe our blog. We always announce beta versions first.

  12. A 3rd party managing our website has licensed WPML under their name and account but they are no longer available. How do we migrate or purchase our own license and register it?

  13. Hi WPML. I have a website which is made on the divi theme. I am using stripe to receive payments from clients. I need to accept payments in USD but my payment processor will only support INR during billing process. Is there some thing WPML can do to bypass this issue.

    Thanks and Regards
    Anjai

    • Hello Anjai,
thank you for your interest in WPML. WPML works with Divi. To answer your second question I need more details. You’ve mentioned a payment processor. Could you please provide me more information about this processer: how does it work with your WordPress site? Is this a WordPress plugin? What’s its name? Thank you.

  14. Good morning.
I’m trying to purchase the WPML CMS and am getting an error on the checkout page that the reCaptcha can’t be verified. I’ve tried clearing my cookies and reloading the site, but it won’t let me complete my order.
Please let me know how I can place my order.

    Thank you.
    Sender G.

  15. Hi,

I’m interested in your automatic translation but I have a simple question:
Let’s say that my blog has around 50k words, and as average I add 2.000k per month.
Do I pay monthly for the total amount of words of the blog or for the new words?
So, if I understood it correctly, the first month I’ll pay 15 USD and then each month nothing. Is that correct?

    Thanks.
    José

    • Hello José again,
You pay for the translation of words only once. The translated content will remain on your site and you do not need to pay any further fee for it.

      Best,

  16. Hi again,

My blog is about history and I don’t have any advertisement and do not make money out of it.
Does it count as special non-profit price?

    Best,
    José

  17. Hi
I have a number of sites I would like to make a multilingual language for

    1. woocomerce website:
English Language – Promoted to United States (SEO & PPC)
Romanian language – promotion to Romania (SEO & PPC)

    2. Content site
    1. English Language (SEO & PPC)
    2. French Language (SEO & PPC)

How can we do this with you?
    Domain, sub-domain and sub-directory??

    • Hello Amit,
1 and 2 should be separated if I understand you correctly those are two different websites with different language pairs and purposes.

From a technical point of view, WPML allows you to set up each of your case (subfolders, subdomains and domains). Using subdirectories is the most common option and the easiest one to set up and to maintain. Most of our clients use this option. Choosing separate domains for languages requires a special setup on your server.

  18. Greetings,

We would like to use your automatic translation feature for the first time. Because of that we don’t really know how many words we will need per month but we estimate them to be around your 500K cap.
We noticed that your monthly fee for that is 72$.
If we proceed with an annual subscription will you provide us with a better price?
    Thank you in advance
