Change of $199 package to $99
Hello, I purchased a $199 package (180,000 translation credits), now that I’ve finished translating the website and have a lot of translation credits left, I’d like to change the package to $99 (90,000 translation credits), how do I set it up? Please help me, thanks!
Hello, we would like to use wpml for Deep L translation from english to spanish. I understand how Deep Ls billing works and its very affordable, but in your docs WPML uses credits based system and its not clear on what actual cost this will run per month for the website owner? Please let me know how this works and also whether or not the client requires a Deep L account if they are using WPML or if that is handled by wpml. thank you. Bodhi
I’m planning on purchasing WPML for my website, however I have a question.
My website works with one main site and 4 sub sides made as a wordpress multisite. They all have the same layout and I was wondering if I will need to purchase the unlimited plan or if this would only count as one domain as it is a multisite.
I place the referenced text for your convenience below:
To stop WPML renewals, go to your WPML account, click the Modify link, scroll down to Payment method and click Cancel automatic renewal. Your WPML plan will now be valid until the renewal date.
If you plan to keep using WPML, remember to manually renew your account each year to ensure WordPress updates don’t break your site. You’ll get an email reminder before WPML expires.
I paid for the one year license on September 13, 2024 until September 13, 2025 and it tells me that I have to Your WPML account has expired. Purchase today to protect your site from breaking changes in future WordPress releases. The systmes no works whats wrong??
Hello,
I see your subscription is active and you should receive updates normally on your site.
Can you please try clicking the button that says Check for updates? You will find it in the wp-admin> Plugins> Add new> tab Commercial.
For the Agency plan, do the 180,000 translation credits renew every year with the license? Or are the translation credits only associated with the initial purchase?
Before moving forward with a subscription, if I were to utilize WPML with Formidable Forms, would the input data received (regardless of chosen language at the time of entry) be automatically translated back to English (chosen language)? Thanks.
Hello,
Firstly I have not deployed my website yet thats why I did not write the name. I have several question before I buy.
-Do you have language hosting ?
-Do you have URL translation
-Is the package 99$ compatible with wordpress Prespa theme?
– I have Installed the WPML but It did not appear in my wordpress even though I activated it. I wonder if it will come after I make the payment?
Lastly, I could not find out the sign up button on your site, Does it require payment? How can I do it?
Hello again,
> Do you have language hosting ?
Yes, you own the translations created by WPML. WPML when translating a post/page/product etc. creates a standard WordPress post in your WP database but in another language. You can keep those translated posts even if you cancel your WPML subscription (and technically even if you remove WPML without deleting your translations).
> Do you have URL translation
Yes, we do. If you ask about the possibility of translating the slug, yes, it’s possible but you would need to enable slug translation in your WPML settings as explained here
> Is the package 99$ compatible with wordpress Prespa theme?
This theme hasn’t been tested for WPML compatibility by our Compatibility Team and therefore you won’t find it on our list of compatible themes but most of the themes will work with WPML out of the box. Our refund policy allows you to buy WPML and use it for 30 days without risking your money. You can also use our support channel during these 30 days in case of issues.
> I have Installed the WPML but It did not appear in my wordpress even though I activated it.
I wonder what exactly you have installed because WPML is a paid plugin and you have to purchase your WPML subscription to use WPML. Then, during the setup wizard you will be asked to provide your license key and for this, again, you need to have an active WPML account. I guess that what you installed wasn’t the WPML plugin but something else.
Hi,
The CMS subscription allows you to register WPML on up to 3 production sites.
The domains per language do not count as separate sites, this is a function included when you install WPML (create the language versions of your site within the same WordPress install) https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/
Hi, I have a WP website and I host my cosmetology study packages in LearnDash (WP plugin) I would like to use your plugin to translate LearnDash course content – content users see when they log into our WordPress, it’s protected (practice questions, simulated exams, answer explanations, study guides) is that possible and how would that work? Thanks
Good morning. I am requesting my IT deparment purchase a subscription of WPML. However, accessibility documentation (example: Voluntary Product Accessibility Template “VPAT”, statement on accessibility, and/or accessibility development roadmap) is required for any software purchase. I cannot find this kind of statement or docs on youru site. Does your product have accesibility documentation?
Hi,
I am afraid we don’t have anythng specific for Accessibility, besides following WordPress standard guidelines.

I have almost the same question as #jackZ-3 on November 8th:
Change of $199 package to $99

As I use WPML just for string translations and no automatic translations at all, is there a way to avoid getting more translation credits (which I’ll not need) and get a discount instead (also for the remaining unused translation credits)?
Hello,
I can see that your existing subscription is inactive (it expired in September 2024) so you are welcome to purchase the Multilingual CMS package. You can log into your WPML account and visit the purchase page and click on the “Buy now” button for Multilingual CMS. We don’t have any option to exchange the translation credits to some discounts, I’m afraid.
We are using gravity forms on our website and we want to receive all email notifications in multi-languages English/Spanish.
So if the user submits the webform, the notification the admin receives will always be translated into English and Spanish including their field label and field data. It this possible when using WPML and Gravity Forms together?
Hello Alex,
Admin notifications should be received in the admin’s language while the user should receive his in the language submitted. Keep in mind that the content submitted by the user won’t be translated.

Need help with a several questions about WPML plugin >
Input data:
We are currently making a website for a client on Dev stage. The website must be translated into 3 languages (English, Spanish, and Welsh). It has a lot of pages and subpages.
The client purchased and gave us access to the WPML plugin (WPML Multilingual CMS, credits available: 80,000).
The problem arose in that we connected the plugin at the very first stages of development, and for the translation we used the content that the client initially provided us—and all the credits were spent on it.
However, as a result, the project has grown, the content has changed dramatically, the number of pages has increased, and we see that there are no more credits left (shows only 10 credits).
And we have the following questions:
1. How and where to correctly calculate the number of words that are now required for translation? Where can we see / evaluate it?
In the Dashboard of the WPML plugin itself in WordPress, there is a link to Word Count Estimation for the entire site—is that it?
And how reliable is the translation there?
It now shows us (taking into account all pages) = 110,000 words overall.
2. Considering that it supposedly shows us word estimation (110,000 words) and that they need to be translated into 3 languages, which payment option is better for us to choose? so that it is most profitable.
Ready package (and which one) or pay-as-you-go?
And how will they need to be paid for (what is the principle + further payments + whether we need to turn it on / off in WordPress if we have no new content / edits)?
Hello,
you can still use the translations from your development site by connecting the sites – they will share the translation memory: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-subscription-for-multiple-sites/
1. This calculator will help: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#calculate-your-cost
You can also go to WPML > Translation Management and select multiple pages and watch the word count at the bottom. It will help you see how many words your pages have.
2. Pay-as-you-go is the best option.
You pay only for new translations. If you change something in your existing translations, you pay only for the sentences that have been changed and have to be retranslated.
You can cancel Pay-as-you-go at any time.
You can monitor your current credits usage at WPML > Translation Management > Tools
I am reaching out to inquire about the compatibility of your plugin with YOOtheme, as I’ve come across some forum discussions indicating that WPML may not be fully compatible with YOOtheme. However, when I contacted YOOtheme support, they confirmed that the plugin is compatible, though they mentioned that a specific procedure is required.
Could you please clarify if there are any known issues or special steps to follow when using WPML with YOOtheme? Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,
yes, upgrade is possible at any time and our system will calculate the difference between these two package if you decide to upgrade. You won’t need to pay the full price again.
Hi, is there any translatation limit words usage? I was thinking to put the plugin on staging website to test it out, would that count toward word usage if there’s any?
If I translate the entire website, will users choose between the language when the visit the website?
Hi,
Yes, there are some limits for the free credits. You will get 90 000 credits that will allow you to translate 45 000 words. If you need more credits you need to pay extra. Your payment options are explained here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/ at the bottom of this pay you will find an interactive calculator that can help you estimate how much you would pay for the number of your languages. You decide which languages to add to your site. Here’s the list of supported languages: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
Hello,
Yes, you can manually translate your website. To prepare your website for manually translation please:
1. When setting up WPML (the setup wizard), please select “Let me choose what to translate” (don’t select “Translate Everything Automatically)
2. When translating your first page, the page will be automatically translate but you will see a button button at the top of the editor that reads: Undo translation. Please click on it and next select the option that disables automatic translation. The next time you will open the editor, your pages won’t be translated automatically.
Hello,

Can you please tell me if this is feasible with wpml
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. I don’t have good news I’m afraid but let me explain how it works. You cannot translate comments using WPML. You can translate WooCommerce product reviews (I’m not sure if WooCommerce product review are the reviews you are interested in) w but the process is not fully automatic and you need to follow a special workflow. This topic is partially covered here – it requires using the WPML String Translation plugin. Strings can be also translated automatically in a bulk way but someone (e.g. the site admin) needs to initiate this process – it’s not fully automated.
I am reaching out regarding an issue with my WPML license. I previously held an active subscription, during which I downloaded the latest version of WPML. According to WPML’s terms and conditions, I understand that I should retain the right to use this last downloaded version even after my subscription has expired, although I no longer have access to updates or support.
However, I am currently unable to use the plugin at all. This seems inconsistent with WPML’s stated policy, as my understanding is that the last accessible version should remain functional indefinitely for previously registered sites.
Could you please help me resolve this issue? I would appreciate any guidance on ensuring that the version I had during my subscription remains usable.
Hello,
Your WPML subscription expired on October 23, 2023. If you have WPML installed on some of your existing sites you can keep using the WPML plugins on those sites. If you have WPML downloaded you won’t be able to use the plugin on new sites because the last step of the wizard requires registering WPML. And for this you need to have an active subscription. This is in line with our Terms of use: https://wpml.org/home/terms-and-conditions/#what-happens-if-you-don-t-renew
You would need to renew your subscription to use WPML on new sites or to update WPML on your existing site. I hope this helps.

Hello Bodhi,
You cannot use your own DeepL account to translate your site with WPML. It is integrated via WPML. It doesn’t have a monthly fee, we will only charge if you send new content to translate.
You can use our online calculator to estimate your costs

Hello
If they are on the same major domain (i.e. domain.com), then they would use one license and be considered a single site.
More here:

I hope this answers your question.

Does your plugin automatically set the user’s language based on their browser?
thank you in advance for your response
Hello,
not automatically, you would need to change the settings: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/
For the Agency plan, do the 180,000 translation credits renew every year with the license? Or are the translation credits only associated with the initial purchase?
Hi,
A new Agency subscription includes 180,000 credits for automatic translation.
The renewal tops up your account to 120,000. You can read more about this here https://wpml.org/purchase/wpml-renewal/#renewals-credits

Hello,
Your WPML subscription expired on October 23, 2023.
