Our company used to have WPML on several brands, but with a restructuring and soon new websites – we have no idea how to track down the account email. I’ve tried several. Is there a way that WPML can look up the generic email @rootdomain.net? Do I just rebuy it?
Is the multicurrency function compatible with any affiliate plugins? I have affiliates from different countries, and I wish their returns to be calculated correctly with their currency. Your multicurrency function’s compatibility with the affiliate plugin is crucial
If you cannot find the plugin you are interested in, try using a direct Google search for with keywords. “WPML”, the name of the plugin, and “compatibilty”. You can also ask the authors of the plugin if they are already compatible.
We want to create a new blog for our multi-domain shop at https://www.medicalcorner24.com/ we also use https://www.medicalcorner24.ch/ and https://www.medicalcorner24.co.uk/ always using /blog
These are all separate servers – but we would like use one wordpress installation and manage the translations with a translation tool like WPML.
Would this be possible with the use of a proxy and your plugin?
We can support the requirement for multi-domain and a fixed untranslated URL root (e.g. /blog). However, all content must reside on one server and in one wordpress installation. If you are planning to retain separate servers, this will not work. We do not work in a distributed fashion across separate servers.
I am in the process of starting a new company/startup, **Luisferreira Consulting OÜ**, and I am awaiting approval from the Estonian authorities to officially commence operations in **January 2026**. I am currently waiting for the issuance of the **VAT ID** so that I can process issues invoices from suppliers. However, I can only do this once the company is fully operational.
My website is already under construction and is over 80% complete: **[https://luisferreira.pt](https://luisferreira.pt)**.
I would like to install your plugin now, but I would only be able to start the payment subscription, using the Estonian VAT number, on **January 1, 2026**, for the **Multilingual CMS** option.
Is it possible to have a **two-month trial** during November and December, or to purchase a **two-month license** until I can subscribe to the Multilingual CMS plan in January 2026?
we are a registered WPML account holder (agency license currently active, expiring in February 2026).
We plan not to renew the license, since each client will manage their own installation and license individually.
However, we would like to continue recommending WPML as our preferred translation plugin and join (or stay in) your affiliate / referral program.
Our question is simple:

Hello,
I want to buy your paid solution to duplicate content from newly created website (that will replace the current supersnow.pl, supersnow.com and other language versions). But my DEV account is on completely different domain as it is created by an agency. Can I have two domains assigned to Multilingual CMS? Also we will be transfering to other servers and I don’t know if it may be an issue when it comes to WPML account?
Yes, you can have up to 3 different production and 9 development domains (ie. servers) with a WPML CMS subscription. This is a total of 12 site keys.
When you use the URL format of language-per-domain on a server, these “language mapped domains” do not consume additional site kyes. Only wordpress installations/databases will consume a site key.
Hello,
I am Sharon from a translation company. Our client sent us a xml file for translation. It was created by WordPress. It looked very messy when we open this xml file with Trados. After checking, we learnt that we can get a WPML plugin agency license and export clean xlf files for translation. Am I right?(Just want to double confirm that if we can export xlf file from client’s WordPress with this plugin and then import the translated xlf files back.)
Shall we buy this plugin license under our name or our client’s name?
Wait for your kind reply soon.
Nous avons un volume important d’anciens contenus à traduire + de nouveaux articles réguliers à traduire automatiquement vers 4 langues.
Pouvez-vous me conseiller sur le plan adapté et me donner une estimation des crédits nécessaires pour la traduction automatique ?
Merci d’avance.
Cordialement.
Je vois que vous utilisez un thème Themegrill. Leur documentation indique que vous devez utiliser la traduction automatique des chaînes de caractères, ce qui implique un abonnement WPML CMS.
Veuillez noter que ce calcul dépend du nombre de mots et du moteur de traduction choisi. Il ne prend pas en compte les crédits utilisés pour traduire les modèles de thème ou les mises en page si vous utilisez un plugin de création de pages. Il s’agit d’une estimation approximative.
Hi WPML Team,
My site is a real estate site: http://www.realtique.net. Currently, we have blog feature which shows all English articles. My question is with the WPML, will all of my published articles will be translated automatically into Vietnamese (the 2nd language we are trying to add in) or we have to update the Vietnamese version for them manually? And if we don’t update Vietnamese version manually, the Vietnamese version won’t show that article and do not create any conflicts or differences right?
Also, new articles after installing the plugin, we can add 2nd language in easily?
Could you please provide some sites that are now using WPML plugin so I can check how smooth it works?
Thank you
1. will all of my published articles will be translated automatically into Vietnamese (the 2nd language we are trying to add in) or we have to update the Vietnamese version for them manually?
Yes, you have the possibility to configure the system to automatically translate and publish your post types (e.g. Blog post types) whenever a new post is published in the base language. However, many clients prefer to not immediately publish the articles, but to wait for a human to review the translation quality. Please note that the price for automatic translations is apart from the price of the plugin subscription and is charged by the translation engine you choose and the number of words translated.
2. if we don’t update Vietnamese version manually, the Vietnamese version won’t show that article and do not create any conflicts or differences right?
I’m not too sure what you mean about “creating conflicts of differences”. Are you referring to updating a translated article so that the content is different than the source article?
If so, yes, you can have articles that are linked as translations but not the same content. In this case, we suggest you do NOT use automatic translation but you use manual translation option.
3. Also, new articles after installing the plugin, we can add 2nd language in easily?
Are you referring to configuring a 2nd language in the system (e.g. not the content of the 2nd language) ? If so, please see here the langauges that are pre-configured and also how to add a new custom language:
I try to purchase WPML and i need company VAT on Invoice, but I still get error “Error communicating with the VAT validation server – please try again.”.

Hi!
The price for credits in AI Translation of per year or one pay?
I mean, if my site contains 15 pages with 80,000 words, I must to pay just one time for 80,000 words or each month/year again?
The price of the credits is separate and apart from the plugin subscription price.
The credit cost for automatic translation is charged only for what you consume. You can either “pay as you go” (by number of words and machine translation engine) or pay “up front” ia different credit packages.
I’ve been trying to purchase the WPML Multilingual CMS plan, but the payment process doesn’t go through. I’ve tried several times using different browsers and cards. Could you please guide me on how to complete the purchase successfully from India, or share an alternate payment link (like Stripe or direct card option)?
I’m sorry for the trouble you’ve been encountering. Please use the following form to contact our billing team so that they can step you through alternatives.
Our website is built using the Yootheme template and the ACF Pro plugin.
1. In the €99 WPML version, is there an automatic translation feature, but without AI?
2. If we use AI automatic translation and our content exceeds 90,000 credits, what will happen? Will the translation stop, or will the content be saved but only partially translated?
3. Is your plugin compatible with ACF Pro?
You can choose between: Microsoft, Deepl, Google, and our PTC (our AI translator). By default, WPML uses PTC when translating your content. However, you can change to a different translation engine if you want to use another one.
2. If we use AI automatic translation and our content exceeds 90,000 credits, what will happen? Will the translation stop, or will the content be saved but only partially translated?
Yes, the AI will stop and you will receive a notification that more credits are required. You can then decide to add more credits or switch to manual translation to complete the translation job.
Hello WPML Team,
We’re running a WordPress Multisite network with 15 language-specific domains (one site per domain), each of which contains some unique content. We’d like to use WPML only for selected posts that we plan to share across all 15 domains — using WPML’s AI-translations service — while letting each site retain its own independent content for everything else.
Is this scenario supported by WPML? Are there any limitations or best-practice considerations we should know about for such a mixed shared/unique-content setup on a Multisite network?
Thank you.
From what you wrote, I understand you have a network of subsites where each subsite is a single language, and you are interested in connecting these separate subsites as translations of each other for selected posts.
If this is correct, while we can be installed on a subsite network, we expect the translated content to reside in the SAME subsite and not in a distributed manner across the various subsites.
In the same documentation you will read that AI support is offered as well….but not in a distributed way. If I understood your impelmentaiton correctly, I think we are not a good fit for you. It sounds like you are looking for something more like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-language-switcher/
I’m planning to purchase the WPML Multilingual Blog plan, but I have one key question:
Will this plan allow me to set up sub-directories for different languages (e.g., http://www.test.com/en, http://www.test.com/pl)? Or is that capability only available if I upgrade to the Multilingual CMS plan?
My current requirement is simply to prepare the site structure with language folders. I intend to upgrade to the Multilingual CMS plan later.
I have 2 but maybe more websites that need to be translated from dutch to german.
The sites are pretty static, can you estimate what that will cost me?
In general, this will put you in the “ball park” but it does not take into account any theme/plugin options including menus or page-builder templates that would also require translation. In general, the price is a factor of number of words, translation engine selected, and number of target langauges to translate to.
Hello
1. Will automatic translation work for the pages created with Yootheme Page Builder? Will the builder content be translated?
2. Is it possible to use a DeepL API key for automatic translation?
1. Will automatic translation work for the pages created with Yootheme Page Builder? Will the builder content be translated?
I’m sorry to report that there seems to be some outstanding compatibility issues with Yootheme so I could not confirm that you would not encounter difficulties translating content built with their pagebuilder.
Hi, have a few questions to clarify if WPML will work with my site which will be in English, but will have a switcher to translate to Spanish if a visitor chooses.
1. I use the latest GiveWP plugin. Will WPML translate their new donate forms (iframes)?
2. Will WPML translate CookieYes (free plan) or do I need to purchase CookieYes’s paid plan to have it translate?
3. I tried GTranslate and it conflicted with URLs in scripts and to documents like PDFs (translated them so they broke or didn’t work). Will WPML leave links to documents and scripts alone?
4. Once a page is translated using credits, the translation is saved, correct? It’s not translated each time a visitor visits a page, right? So additional credits are only needed if I create a new page/post or edit content and need to re-index the translation, correct?
1. I use the latest GiveWP plugin. Will WPML translate their new donate forms (iframes)?
In general, we consider GiveWP as a compatible plugin but I can see in our own documentation that the last fully tested version was a while ago and not the latest release. https://wpml.org/plugin/give-donation-plugin/
Because of this partnership, I would suggest that you ask the plugin authors directly. Normally, the new features are communicated to us if there is a problem and the incompatibility is sorted out together with our compatibility team. They will be best placed to know the exact answer to your question.
2. Will WPML translate CookieYes (free plan) or do I need to purchase CookieYes’s paid plan to have it translate?
Once again, it seems the best way to get an accurate answer is to ask the plugin authors directly. From what I could read here, it would apear that you would only need the paid plan if you wanted to hook into their CookieYes Web App. In the case of using WPML, the CookieYes is being used in standalone mode: https://www.cookieyes.com/documentation/translations-in-cookieyes-wordpress-plugin/#Translatio_0
3. I tried GTranslate and it conflicted with URLs in scripts and to documents like PDFs (translated them so they broke or didn’t work). Will WPML leave links to documents and scripts alone?
Normally, WPML will automatically translate internally linked posts/attachments. By this I mean the links that you create by pointing to an existing page/post when adding the link as opposed to entering a full URL manually. If the link is to an external URL or entered as an explicit link, then the translation is presented to you in our translation editor as a URL to translate (or not).
4. Once a page is translated using credits, the translation is saved, correct? It’s not translated each time a visitor visits a page, right? So additional credits are only needed if I create a new page/post or edit content and need to re-index the translation, correct?
Yes, your understanding is 100% correct.
I’d like to take this moment to remind you that while we don’t offer any kind of trial copy of our plugin for testing, you can get a full refund if you request one before 30-days after purchase. You might consider this in order to fully test compatibility and the like.
Dear support team,
I have been using WPML for over two years to support our six-language website: https://sakyapa.eu/
I rarely use your translation features because we have our own translation team. My subscription is about to expire this weekend, and I would like to ask: if I don’t renew, the overall six-language interface will not be affected, correct? I just won’t be able to update or receive technical support anymore?
Thank you.

Hello
Yes, you can have up to 3 different production and 9 development domains (ie. servers) with a WPML CMS subscription. This is a total of 12 site keys.
When you use the URL format of language-per-domain on a server, these “language mapped domains” do not consume additional site kyes. Only wordpress installations/databases will consume a site key.

Hello
Yes, we support the XLIFF interface. More here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-desktop-cat-tools/configuring-xliff-file-options/
The subscription license should normally be associated with the owner of the registered website that is using our plugin. That being said, we do have cases where an agency purchases the license and the transfers the license to their client once the project is finished. In other words, both are options and it is up to you.

Hello
Yes, you have the possibility to configure the system to automatically translate and publish your post types (e.g. Blog post types) whenever a new post is published in the base language. However, many clients prefer to not immediately publish the articles, but to wait for a human to review the translation quality. Please note that the price for automatic translations is apart from the price of the plugin subscription and is charged by the translation engine you choose and the number of words translated.

https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/translate-everything-automatically/

https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
Here is a list of languages that are currently supported for automatic translation.
https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
I’m not too sure what you mean about “creating conflicts of differences”. Are you referring to updating a translated article so that the content is different than the source article?
If so, yes, you can have articles that are linked as translations but not the same content. In this case, we suggest you do NOT use automatic translation but you use manual translation option.
Please read this article for more information: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/
Are you referring to configuring a 2nd language in the system (e.g. not the content of the 2nd language) ? If so, please see here the langauges that are pre-configured and also how to add a new custom language:

Hi!
The price for credits in AI Translation of per year or one pay?
I mean, if my site contains 15 pages with 80,000 words, I must to pay just one time for 80,000 words or each month/year again?
Thank you.
Hello
The price of the credits is separate and apart from the plugin subscription price.
The credit cost for automatic translation is charged only for what you consume. You can either “pay as you go” (by number of words and machine translation engine) or pay “up front” ia different credit packages.
Please read more information here:
https://wpml.org/faq/what-are-credits/
We offer a cost calculator here to give a rough estimate of your content translation cost here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
So let me get back to your questions:
Answer: the price is based on the amount of words you translate. You pay for what you translate or by package.
Answer: not yearly. Just what you need to translate your words (by machine engine, per language, per word)
I hope this information helps you understand your options.
I’ve been trying to purchase the WPML Multilingual CMS plan, but the payment process doesn’t go through. I’ve tried several times using different browsers and cards.
Thank you in advance for clarifying.
Hello
Yes it will.
Here is more information: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/
URL formats are available to all subscription levels.

Hi,
I have 2 but maybe more websites that need to be translated from dutch to german.
The sites are pretty static, can you estimate what that will cost me?
Hello
You can roughly estimate the cost of translation by using this calculator:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#estimate-your-translation-cost
In general, this will put you in the “ball park” but it does not take into account any theme/plugin options including menus or page-builder templates that would also require translation. In general, the price is a factor of number of words, translation engine selected, and number of target langauges to translate to.
I hope this helps you.
Hello
1. Will automatic translation work for the pages created with Yootheme Page Builder? Will the builder content be translated?
2. Is it possible to use a DeepL API key for automatic translation?
Hello
I’m sorry to report that there seems to be some outstanding compatibility issues with Yootheme so I could not confirm that you would not encounter difficulties translating content built with their pagebuilder.
More here: https://wpml.org/theme/yootheme/
Oh my – once again I have to disappoint you. It is not possible to use a personal DeepL Pro API license with WPML

How many letters does my eshop have so I can calculate how much credit I need?
Hello Christos,
We don’t charge per letter but per word.
If you have WPML installed, you can get the word estimate and use our online calculator https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#pay-as-you-go
支持搞并发访问吗?比如我有100000个会员 同时访问网站 可以自动翻译吗?
您好
我们的插件不像某些前端翻译工具那样实时生成翻译。在我们的架构中,我们会将翻译作为单独的文章类型存储在您的数据库中。
因此,您的问题更应该关注的是您的服务器是否能够处理 10 万次的访问量,无论是否包含翻译内容。
希望以上解答能帮到您。我附上了我们数据库结构的链接,以便您更深入地了解。

Thank you.
Hello
In general, we consider GiveWP as a compatible plugin but I can see in our own documentation that the last fully tested version was a while ago and not the latest release.
https://wpml.org/plugin/give-donation-plugin/
I can also see that the GiveWP team have invested time in making their own documentation on how to use WPML here:
https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/translating-give/translating-givewp-with-wpml/
Because of this partnership, I would suggest that you ask the plugin authors directly. Normally, the new features are communicated to us if there is a problem and the incompatibility is sorted out together with our compatibility team. They will be best placed to know the exact answer to your question.
Once again, it seems the best way to get an accurate answer is to ask the plugin authors directly. From what I could read here, it would apear that you would only need the paid plan if you wanted to hook into their CookieYes Web App. In the case of using WPML, the CookieYes is being used in standalone mode:
https://www.cookieyes.com/documentation/translations-in-cookieyes-wordpress-plugin/#Translatio_0
Yes, your understanding is 100% correct.
I’d like to take this moment to remind you that while we don’t offer any kind of trial copy of our plugin for testing, you can get a full refund if you request one before 30-days after purchase. You might consider this in order to fully test compatibility and the like.

I hope I was able to at least point you in the right direction for your various quesitons.
Thank you.
Hello
You have written to PreSales and not “Support”.
But your understanding is correct. Your translations are always your own and will reside in your database whether you renew or not.

Hi, I’m from India. I’m unable to pay via PayPal (it shows ‘merchant not accepting payments’).
Please share a direct credit/debit card or Stripe payment link so I can complete my WPML purchase.
Hello.
Please contact our billing team for this kind or request here:
